on my way home from church. i was jammin' to some sweet tunes (Keith Green) when i caught a glimpse of a black spot on my car ceiling right above the passenger seat. i kept driving but at the same time wondered what i saw. i looked again and saw this black spot now moving down towards the seat. the only logical thing to do next is to turn on the light.

and that's when i saw it was... a... spider. and it wasn't a small one! it wasn't huge. but still. it's a spider!

obviously, i start freaking out cuz... i don't like spiders. i was about a minute away from getting to my house. longest.minute.of.my.life!!! meanwhile, i'm saying outloud, "oh please Jesus!!!!! don't let it crawl over here!! please keep it away from me!! please please please!!!!!!!!!!!!"

i finally got home and worked up the courage to kill it.

i did spend about 10 mins pouting... trying to pull myself together :(

Enjoy Australia! We have spiders galore. And while none of them are quite as big as a tarantula, many of them are deadly.

With all do respect, Tintin... most of things are deadly in Australia...

The spiders are more vicious, the crocodiles are huge, you guys have a bat the size of a dog for crying out loud!!! And I won't even get started on the snakes!!! O.O

Not to mention all the deadly sea creatures and even some trees!!! O.O

It's almost a miracle people manage to stay alive!!!

Haha! It's true. No wonder I'm having trouble finding a girlfriend. ...I mean, having trouble not dying here.

lol, your description makes it sound as if at every turn there is danger lurking in the wildlife, and only a properly prepared and trained Dundee type Aussie could possibly hope to brave this dangerous land.

*Pours coffee*
*looks around for snakes and deadly spiders*
*sips*

Thinks to self :"It's been an hour, and no deadly wildlife has invaded my suburban residence to harm or devour me. Today IS a good day".

There is danger at every turn! I just killed a white-tail spider this morning, as I was hanging out the washing on a Hills Hoist.

Imagine if I take a wrong turn and end up in the middle of a spider rain???? O.O

Oh the horror!!!
