I take great comfort in that

This happened yesterday in my office. I was using the elevator to go down for a meeting. Feeling quite bored, I was shadow-boxing in the elevator floor. All of a sudden the elevator stopped at one of the floors. By the time I realised it, the doors had opened and one of my colleagues was waiting to enter the elevator. Seeing my clenched fists and my aggressive stance, she stood at the door with a worried look on her face. I had to quickly welcome her into the elevator with a sweeping flourish, before she could call the security.
Oh man, it was so embarrassing.
Needless to say, I was too embarrassed to show my face after that.
First sleep over... I think I was 7. Got so worked up and was very, very sick (happily in the loo where that should happen if it's going to). Had them call my mom and pick me up.
One of 3 times in my life that I've tossed my cookies. I'm still not super comfy sleeping in a strange bed.
brilliant ! that was such a crack up the most similiar i could think of was when my friend who was a boy and we were abot 10 years old , Dad made me this wooden go cart thing with a rope steering wheel we were so determined we drove it down a small steep hill over and straight into the neighbours organic collection/junk the houses throw out to be collected by garbage truck we thgt we were the bomb cause we were like jamaicans from cool runnings movie'yeh we have a cart and crashed it' haha yah....Hi! We all have embarrassing stories that we have done and it's just easier to laugh at yourself than getting down about it.
What are some embarrassing things you have done in front of the opposite gender (whether you just found them attractive or were interested in them)?
I'll start. When I was a camp counselor, my boss was trying to set me up with this extremely good looking guy who came to do some landscape on the campground. He told me to bring some drinks to him and his workers by driving this old golf cart that was loaded with lemonade and water to them.
This golf-cart was completely unsafe and wasn't as reliable as a normal golf-cart. Sometimes it wouldn't steer and if it did, it was uber-sensitive.
So, I'm nervous. If you know me, I don't get nervous around a lot of people. But for some reason, I'd act like a nervous 12-year old whenever this guy was around. So, even bringing him drinks and trying to make small conversation with him was nerve-racking.
I hopped into the golf cart and drove up to where the guys were working, but not before the steering got stuck and I crashed it into some trees and bushes RIGHT IN FRONT OF THEM.
I was mortified but was hoping they were too busy working. Alas, that wasn't the case and everyone was laughing and the guy was looking at me as if I was drunk.
Needless to say, I was too embarrassed to show my face after that.
