Then answer the question. Are you saying that we do still need the Law as a schoolmaster after it has led us to Christ??
This is the 3rd time you have asked. I have answered your question with the words of Jesus. Jesus' words answered your question. What do you think His answer would be, that man shall live by some of God's words? Matthew 4:4

Where did I say "that Christ followers are under the O.T. law?" Why don't you just come right out and say that your belief system is that not all of what God has ever spoken applies to you? Just come right out and say it. Draw your line in the sand and let everyone know that you cannot accept all of God's word. Is it because you are unable to see the spiritual truth in certain things, and because of that you have no alternative but to reject some of it? Referring to Leviticus chapter 14 as you referenced; is it not a perfect correlation of being conformed into the image of Christ? Romans 8:29

o.k. I will. I do believe that all Scripture is God-breathed and useful for instruction and correction and doctrine. but I also believe that we are saved BUY GRACE THROUGH FAITH FOR GOOD WORKS. you and others do not this simple doctrine. and also why can you not answer any questions that I or any one poses to you??? as I said to earlier, you do understand the Bible is not one big book, it is a series of books written by dozens of people over a hundreds of years. do you understand that or not??

And this is the third time you have refused to answer. It is surely plain to all why.

If you say "I do believe that all Scripture is God-breathed and useful for instruction and correction and doctrine," then why do you insist on explaining some of God's words carnally as physical and fleshly, as if there was never any spiritual significance to them? Are you incapable?

There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. Romans 8:1

and this is how you spot false teachers, or someone who is in incorrect in their beliefs. they show up, make procliamations, then belittle anyone who corrects or even questions them, without really answering anything that they are asked. which is what we have here.

another non-answer. by the way, we know what Jesus said, we asking what you say. anyway, moving away from this, good day to you sir.

What... The words of Christ isn't enough for you?Matthew 4:4

If that is false teaching does Paul contradict the words of Jesus saying "Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God," in Matthew 4:4 as Paul writes "But after that faith is come, we are no longer "under" a schoolmaster." Galatians 3:25

If there is no contradiction, then it behooves us to find out the real Jewish traditional meaning of a "school master" in relation to the metaphor Paul is describing.

"Under" is a key word in this case. Is our "old man" replaced, or is it God's words that are replaced.

As the schhoolmaster, once one has been led to christ, the schoomasters job is complete. why keep going to the schoolmaster? would it not be better to take what you learned and move one then keep hashing out the same stuff over and over which as the word of God says, will NEVER MAKE YOU RIGHTEOUS?

I guess if YOU think the OT is worthless that is your prerogative. I however, consider it VERY VALUABLE for developing my SPIRITUAL LIFE and WORLDVIEW.

That isn't what he is saying. How can you accuse him of thinking the old testament is useless when he believes that it leads people to Jesus Christ? After all, its a school master, or tutor. In it Jesus Christ is revealed though hidden throughout. That is a false assumption you are making against him, one that he doesn't subscribe to. I am sure he considers it valuable, it just isn't valuable to make anyone righteous. It is holy, good and just but has no ability to make us so. He understands that this happens, the overcoming of sin, through grace and not Law as the scriptures clearly state.

It's not really complicated. There is no need to look for hidden meaning of words to justify doctrine. It's really very simple.

You say that we live by every word of God. I agree with that. I just live by it based on the finished work of Christ. The word says that we are to offer certain sacrifices because of sin. Does that mean that to live by the word of God I have to find a lamb to kill? No, Christ is my lamb who has offered himself up for sacrifice.

The law gives me many commandments and ordinances that must be kept. When I break one, I must offer the proper sacrifice. Jesus is always my proper sacrifice, for he is the fulfillment of the law.

In this manner the law leads and guides me to the one true sacrifice which pays the price for all my lawlessness. That's what it means that the law was my schoolmaster. I am no longer under that schoolmaster because I am now in Christ. I have been lead to Christ. I don't have to make sacrifices, because Christ is my sacrifice.

Does the law still stand? Did Christ keep all the law? In Christ the law stands. In Christ the law has been kept and fulfilled. I am in Christ! Praise God!!!

my intention was to attempt to correct your wrong belief. you try to disguise your false belief that Christ followers are under the O.T. law by saying things like all the Bible is true, which it is. but it also has to rightly divided or properly handled, depending on translation. so tell me, do you wear blended fabrics?? have you ever had a Jewish priest inspect your house for mold . ever have a priest inspect a bump or a sore. because if not, then you are not following the law. see how this works?? as e.g. said, tell us something instead of saying something.

I think the OP has been quite clear that we need to heed what the scripture SAYS... and NO WHERE has he suggested blended fabrics, Jesuit home inspections or health inspections are what Christians should be DOING. However, I DO see from your comment that you have pernicious attitude regarding WHAT the OP is trying to say... and I am kinda concerned for YOU... that you are not GETTING IT!

It is not an ACCUSATION... it is my conclusion by inference. <COFFEE need COffee!> SO here is the thing Ben... you go buy some bibles, rip them in half at the OT/NT division and give the OT to non-believers.... and tell them this is going to LEAD you to Christ. Now, how LONG are they going to have to live in the OT before they meet CHRIST???

True. This is not a law thread. It is a thread that endorses ALL of God's word for believers, and non believers alike. The rhetoric presented by people that demand that some of God's spoken words no longer apply to Christains is truly falsehood in every way. I look at the world's condition these days and determine how different it would be if ALL of God's words were taught by the church instead of throwing away the instructions of how to have good governing principles. Is it false to present this principle? How can we say we believe in all of God's word and at the same time reject what we want to get rid of, so our sins won't be revealed? It makes about as much sense as Paul teaching the Romans what he was like before his conversion in chapter 7. What on earth would be the purpose of that? People who do not believe in the word of God are not convicted by the word of God. Hello! Isn't that the reason that certain parts of God's word are defined as useless to these so called believers? That's falsehood that speaks out of both sides of the mouth. How can a person believe in the word of God when they say they have rejected certain things in the word of God. That belief is ludicrous and carnal to say the least.

Oh I do not think it is worthless. I love it, I have learned alot from it. and still am. but thats not the topic. The topic is does the law (schoolmaster) still apply to those who are saved.

But nice of you to judge me, not even knowing and understanding what I have said.

So tell me. Why do I live under a schoolmaster, when it has n=done its job, Are you going to be like Just e, and keep ignoring the question. or answer it?

Talk about a strawman.

It is obvious you do not understand what we are saying.

So do you tgink we should still be practicing the OT Ceremonial feists and traditions also? do you think they make you more holy than the believer who is out serving the lost. Helping the poor. and discipling his brothers and sisters in Christ?

Do you think that the law which says do not covet tells you how not to covet, and makes you holy?

Just me could never answer those questions. maybe you can?

There goes the carnal rhetoric again. Don't you present yourself as a living sacrifice to God? It reasonable ya know. Paul said so. So you don't need a schoolmaster. If not, you should be able to find your own way to school, for a schoolmaster led small children to school. When a person is mature enough, they take the same route as previously shown. Has Jesus actually caused His own Father's words to be absent from the ones He came to save? This is not a "law thread." I sincerely wish that anti law people would stop demanding it to be.

Your a deceiver, it is a law thread disguised as a "we should do all God commands, not just some" , almost Every thread you open is concerning those who claim we are no longer under a schoolmaster. You want to shove law down our throats and puff yourself up every chance you get.

You do not like that, that's tough, when you have been here as long as you have, and done the same things over and over and over, the repetitive nature of your posts is clear for all who have been here to see.

um, For those of us who graduated, we do not take the same path to school. It taught us what we needed to do. We now take what we learned in school and apply it to our own life.

Why do you keep going to school to learn about how to be made right with God when you supposedly have already been made right with God. And you wonder why people come at you like they do?

Maybe thats your problem? You have not graduated from school yet. So you can not comprehend how to live Christlike? (just saying, I can not judge an persons salvation only their gospel)
