I do, all of the time, for everyone.

I like to hold it open for those people who are 40-50 feet from the door....l just stand there with a look of "are you coming, or what?"
They have to do that mini-jog to the door.

Thats me, helping America get it's exercise......one shopper at a time. :)

Oh, sorry. I thought you were someone else. Several women have told me to lose their number. The tap water...now I know. Sorry. Yeah, the tab that evening was a pittance.

(By the way, his driving...probably trying to impress you. Glad there was no accident, no hurt, no injuries.)
I thought it was a joke so I was playing along, sorry. My brother in law went to school with him and he always drove that way, but yes I am thankful I made it home. Plus there was a lot of things that happened that I wasn't going to put up with.

Always... for anyone and everyone.
Your answer reminds me of Genesis 18:22-33. It sounds like it, a little bit.

And Galahad approached the arena. And heard the call of the porter: Enter here.

And Galahad said,

Willie, will you open the door for righteous and the wicked?
Oh Willie, what if there are 50 righteous and the rest are wicked, will you open the door for the righteous 50?

Willie, please, be patient. What if there are 40 righteous and the rest are wicked, will you open the door for the righteous 40?

Willie, you know I am not testing you. I ask again. What if there be only 20 righteous and the rest wicked, will you open the door for the righteous 20?

One more, please understand. I gots to know. What if there be only 10 righteous souls and the rest wicked, will you open the door for the righteous 10?

Cmariah, IT'S A JOKE. It is. I thought your tap water response was funny. So I went along with.

No. I have never been told lose a number. Never.

The only serious part was my parenthetical to the accident.

Now this is getting funny. ;)

I know I was on a date with a guy and I corrected him on something and he refused to open the car door for me and then he expected me to hold his hand on the way home and I refused. It's not like I was too excited to get in the car with him especially since he liked to drive like a wild man. There was no second date, as I told him to lose my number.

Crazy driving should be reserved for date number five or six. And only mild craziness, nothing too crazy mind you!

Yes it is getting funny. My family likes to do that kind of stuff to me all the time and I always fall for it.

I LOVE THIS! I'm the third because I love being overly nice so people are awkward. It's funny because people are not used to people being so nice to others so they misplace your genuine niceness for insanity.

I always look to see if anyone is nearby, and hold the door for them if they are coming in or out. I really appreciate anyone holding a door for me as well. That one simple act of kindness can really go a long way.

we always discussed the threshold for door holding....I'm usually the over-the-top nice person that does #3 on the picture lol
This was very funny.

Door #3 is definitely a creeper.

Haha exactly. I always hold it if they're right behind me, but anything else.. no. On a different note, I actually don't particularly care for people holding the door open for me lol. I have two hands, I can get it  idk, I'm weird like that.

had a girl from my college days say the same thing to me...except she threw in a feminist twist..."do you not think I'm strong or capable enough to get my own door and I need a man to do it for me". So I politely apologized pushed the door closed and sat on the bench inside and watched while she put the box she was holding down opened the door picked the box back up and did this awkward hold the door so it doesn't close ordeal...I know what yall are going to say...I'm a horrible person...but since when does holding the door for someone suggest I'm belittling or putting them down in any way?
