Wrong type of works, is what I see..Like boasting in one's own greatness...Example "I am a doctor, and I have this piece of paper with golden seals, so who are you with none!"

Would that apply to also our walk with God? Example..The pope says "Bow down, and kiss my hand..because I wear this clothing, and crown..I also carry a staff, so I am mightier than you...What do you have for proof, your relationship with God?" Forgetting about sack cloth and being humble. Or that we all are equal!

Or how I have experienced in an Emergency Room, ill treatment to me and haughtiness, and that person had no clue about me, and how I got in that condition? As they bouted "You need to be more proactive to your disease!" Like if I knew at the time how, I was just being lazy according to them! Yet, I knew I was very proactive with little I had!

But if that person leaves out that I am right, you are wrong...and let only scripture speak, than is that putting other's in equal measurement. Or is that going against where two or more agree? For I see, that without saying I am right, you are wrong in the situation verbally, does not the reader agree or disagree in their own conscience? Or is that denying Christ in front of others to not verbally agree or disagree? To me, not giving scripture in the situation would be denial. I know that when I read what someone gives me in scripture, I can tell if that person disagrees, or trying to reproach me.

I think we all have to remember. We are nobodies. We have no home, We are naked and on the streets. Our father caused the fall of mankind, and all this evil to be spread throughout the whole world. That puts us in a situation where we are forced to take care of ourselves. this we try to make ourselves something we are not. Popes, or Doctors, or whatever we feel will put us in a position to make this small life on this world bearable. Sadly in order to do this, we have to tear other people down. and keep them down. And only hang around people who will be able to give us something which will help us in that endeavor. others we will use, cut down, judge, or belittle, because again, It is all we have. We make a God who fits our needs, (paul mentions this in romans 1) and reject the God who will tell us what we are doing is wrong.

What we need to remember is God gave us a home, he adopted us as his children, He gave us a meaning for life, and gave us his inheritance, all he owns are at our disposal (eph 1) He gives some of us gifts and positions, But even in these, He tells us, Never forget where you came from. For you were homeless, and you did not earn where you are, You could not buy your way in, you could not work your way in, God loved you, and paid for you which the price of his sons death.

So what are works? Works are out of gratitude to help others get to where you are at, To help protect others from the world. Because Gods son paid the price for everyone, but he will not make anyone join his family. And he left us on this earth, and did not take us to our eternal home right away, because he wants to use us to do this very thing.

Did Elijah sound like a dove when he mocked and ridiculed the false teachers of his day (priests of Baal)
Did Jesus sound like a dove when he made a whip and drove the money changers from the temple and or called the white washed coffins filled with the bones of dead men and or blind leaders of the blind.......
Did John the Immerser sound like a dove when he called the snakes and vipers (the false teachers of his day)
Did Paul sound like a dive when he told the Corinthian church that he would come and not spare...

When you are here a little longer and see how a few of these guys actually operate, how they twist what you say, reject verb tense, context, scriptures in context and the very definitions of the words we are to accept and believe...then......................

I can tell you that Eternal G does not believe saved by faith plus works.......faith alone that saves pal......It pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that BELIEVE!

Should not perish is in the aorist subjuctive sense you are correct. The sense is that whoever places their faith in Christ. If we have or are in this state, we have met the conditions.

Has eternal life is in the present tense. Which means it is not subjunctive, it is actually something we posess or hold at that time.

So all of these legalist who has told you this is not something we possess have lied to you and deceived you

In fact Jesus goes even further not 3 chapters later.

He says whoever believes in him will

1. Never hunger or thirst
2. Never die
3. Live forever
4. Has eternal life
5. Has Jesus personal guarantee he will raise them from the dead
6. will live as long as he lives
7. Has been given to jesus, and he will never lose them.

So you said early some people need to study, I think again, we all need to practice what you said

ok I agree here, But remember, Faith with a mustard seed can move mountains, so how much faith is real faith.

A dead faith is not faith, so here we have a person who says they have faith, but is not saved (as james said) these people can not lose what they do not have, But they can fall from Grace, because if they are studying the word and involved in church, they have the truth in front of them, and better hope the light of the gospel turns on for them before it is too late.
