There's false theology being perpetuated on this whole site, and not just by me and those who believe as I do ;)

Ideally, all we really need is the Tanakh and the Gospels anyway.
All "we"? Why would your opinion of how Christians should believe and what books should be our guide have any weight? Do you care our opinion on how you practice your "Judaism"? So, stop with the "we" stuff.

That would depend on how much you actually know about Judaism.

At any rate, this isn't about religious differences. As followers of G-d, all we (there I go again, and I don't plan to stop) really need is the Tanakh and the Gospels.

I feel special, because I was able to point out to you a food that isn't kosher. I don't know much about Judaism, but I know my kashrut. :)

*followers of God, and believers in Yeshua as our Messiah.* Jews believe in God, but they would see no purpose in reading the Gospels unless they also believed Yeshua was their Messiah.

I should have specified. I meant those of us who believe Yeshua is the messiah :p

Well, I got what you were saying, but I decided I'd correct you before someone decided to make a petty argument out of it.

I'm sure someone would make a petty argument if I said the word "hi" :p

Considering some of the attitudes toward you, you're probably right... I don't post in here enough to get that attitude toward me yet... :p

Nuhen, I don't necessarily agree with you that all we need from the New Testament are the gospels, but seriously, you rock. Don't change. :)

(Sarcasticly) Whats wrong with Gay Marriage? Are Gay Marriages an abomination to our culture or our society? Was Alexander the Great a gay man, or did he only share the companionship of his soldiers? Could he keep a relationship with a woman, or was it easier for him to keep a relationship with his right hand man (no pun intended) who he tented with for years and years and years?

Less than 33% of the world's population are of the Christian religion. Even less than that are the amount of 'activists' who stand up for what they believe in. I personally do not encourage the gay lifestyle; although there leaves more fish in the sea for me - so what do I care? I think there are MUCH MORE IMPORTANT issues out there regarding the Christian Faith than homosexuality. I myself used to be homophobic, but that concept interfered with the protection of our civilization. Would I protect a gay man if he was in danger? Absolutely, Jesus judged nobody with hate and welcomed those with troubles.

33% is still a lot more than the % of homosexuals, and anti-homosexuality is not just a christian thing, many religions are against it so you have more like 80% of the world are against homosexuality, the non-religious make up 16%.

Who am I to judge? - Is probably the strongest statement that I can come up with.
I am strongly against *Totalitarianism* than really anything else.

I also know non-religious folk who are against it, there's quite a few atheist homophobes around. Homosexuals are a small minority with a big voice, that's all.

I am sure glad God did not make other people's behavior my business - all I am called to do is love, unconditionally.

Just think what a mess it would be if we were really responsible for running around removing specks from everyone's eyes? And held responsible for making sure they were living rightly? It would be as if we were called to be.......God - what a relief we only have to love.

1 Corinthians 5

1. It is actually reported that there is sexual immorality among you, and of a kind that does not occur even among pagans: A man has his father's wife.2 And you are proud! Shouldn't you rather have been filled with grief and have put out of your fellowship the man who did this? 3 Even though I am not physically present, I am with you in spirit. And I have already passed judgment on the one who did this, just as if I were present. 4 When you are assembled in the name of our Lord Jesus and I am with you in spirit, and the power of our Lord Jesus is present, 5 hand this man over to Satan, so that the sinful nature may be destroyed and his spirit saved on the day of the Lord.6 Your boasting is not good. Don't you know that a little yeast works through the whole batch of dough?7 Get rid of the old yeast that you may be a new batch without yeast--as you really are. For Christ, our Passover lamb, has been sacrificed.8 Therefore let us keep the Festival, not with the old yeast, the yeast of malice and wickedness, but with bread without yeast, the bread of sincerity and truth. 9 I have written you in my letter not to associate with sexually immoral people-- 10 not at all meaning the people of this world who are immoral, or the greedy and swindlers, or idolaters. In that case you would have to leave this world. 11 But now I am writing you that you must not associate with anyone who calls himself a brother but is sexually immoral or greedy, an idolater or a slanderer, a drunkard or a swindler. With such a man do not even eat.12 What business is it of mine to judge those outside the church? Are you not to judge those inside?13 God will judge those outside. "Expel the wicked man from among you."

You are right. Homosexuality outside the church is none of our business. But when it involves others within the church, then it becomes our business.

You have simplified things to the point where you can't see that you can judge AND have unconditional love at the SAME time. We all have problems in our lives that we need help with at times. Thank God for brothers and sisters who are not caught up in themselves, and so concerned with political correctness, who can judge people and see that they need help, and offer that help in a loving way.

Cain asked God, Am I my brother's keeper? You bet we are.

So we are supposed to let every homosexual that boasts about his or her homosexual behavior that the Bible will not allow them to eat with us in church? Tell you what, as soon as I meet one that has has not heard your message, I will be the first to let them know. Until then, I will continue to love the unloved.

In the meantime what are we supposed to do with all the greedy, idolaters, slanders, winos, and swindlers in our churches? Heck, that includes all of the main characters in the OT.

At this point, we have people posting in here - boasting in public (I might add) that doing all of those activities is good if God commands it....of course no one would ever claim that about homosexuality - so I see your point - i'll get right on it!

You added winos. Noone said anything about winos. Wow, you are judging the main characters in the O.T. YOU are judging? Moses an idolator? Abraham a slanderer? Isaiah greedy? You said ALL the main characters in the O.T. You are absolutely right. YOU should not judge.
