To all who read,

I had a conversation with an atheist today online. Based off it, it seems he is more Anti-Theist. I would love suggestions on how to deal with this. He is sixteen or seventeen. He first asked me if i am submissive. My first thought was Uhoh.
He says i have no independence because i follow God. Also, when responded to his asking to whom owned me (i said i was the Lords prperty and proud of it) he said he was God (what a joke) and i was his property. I dont want to get too strong with him. I can win this battle with God on my side, but there are weaker christians whom he can prey on. With following Gods directions, his plan could backfire and he could be saved. I really would appreciate your help.

I'm guessing you're not really 12 years old. The minimum age requirement for this site is 13.
Also it is against the rules to lie about your age and gender. You can choose to hide your age from public view, but not lie about it.

Learn this while you are young. We don't have to cram religion down someones throat. We are to rest in the spirit of God. You will know when to witness and the spirit will give us the wisdom and compassion we need to answer and deal with it.

I'm guessing the program won't filter out a 12 year old? Please don't tell me you are a youth director.

I am 12, and signed up. Then i got an email saying that i couldnt join because i was 12. Ok, ill go with that. thats fair. But then when i came on to just read stuff (its not bad to even visit when ur not twelve, is it?) And i saw that my username that i tried signing up with was held under the sign in bar. Im like, hey cool! And sign in.

Im not trying to convert, im just trying to defend my belief and ask God to save him. But thanks for ur concern. :)

Impressive.

I wanted to burn ants with a magnifying glass when l was 12.

I still do.
I'm a lot more accurate with the "hot dot" these days.

He lets Satan speak through him.

You owe him no answers. But if you want to answer, use Scripture.

And continuing praying for him.

No independence? He is God? Ask him how long he can go without food? Without water? Without air? He'll find he is not all that independent after all...not even a god.
Otherwise just pray that God will humble him to see that Jesus Christ is Lord.

I've heard variations of this criticism before. It boils down to them insinuating that God or "religion" is somehow suppressing you, thus keeping you from enjoying your "rights and privileges," to live life as you see fit rather than a religious institution or an invisible divine being. The notion is flawed, however, in that God is not a God of compulsion. He has extended to all of us our moral agency to choose to follow Christ or reject Him. Nothing is stopping you or any other Christian from living like the rest of the world does. You have that choice, instead, you chose something better. You do not worship or pray or keep the commandments or abstain from worldly endeavors because God Made you do that. He simply offered you a choice. His way or the world's way. And you, like many others around the world have rightly decided that Wickedness never was happiness.

But the serpent said to the woman, "You will not surely die. For God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil."
(Gen 3:4-5)

Satan continues to tempt man with that 'god' line and God is keeping you from full freedom.
Problem was, Adam and Eve ended up in full bondage.

......am I the only person thats noticed that the guy this girl is talking to /isnt/ actually talking to her about anything religious?

I think you need to stop talking to this guy entirely, GottaLove, and remove him from any contact you have.

Hello all,
Thanks a lot for your help. Ive been talking with God, and he has brought a different person who is an athiest, and needs help. Strangely enough, God has told me to just what Yeraz_Bats suggested: stop talking with the previous Athiest. God will take care of him. But anyway, if you could pray for this Athiest girl I've run into, it would be the best thing you could do. She is so depressed she has tried suicide 3 times. Right now, I have teamed up with my bro, and God seems to be telling us that he will save her in his time, and that we are in his plan. Again, thanks for your suggestions! :)
In Christ,
Anna

Every time I see this thread title, I think of little Atheist action figures and a small, plastic boxing ring, all sort of fashioned after Rock 'em Sock 'em Robots.

"Atheist BATTLES!" *Cheezy commerical fanfare*
