Didn't God cause the flood because man had become so detestable? Without Law?
God is always graceful to let people know why He will judge harshly. Judging people without the people knowing why is not at all the way of righteousness. Oh my goodness, does that mean we can detect God's righteous judgment, and His grace in the law and the prophets. (smile)

God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged. Romans 3:4

I think you just ask questions he can not honestly answer, you back him to a wall. and it is easier to hide, then see the truth.

The breath of life seems to be lacking in your picture. Is that really you after all this time? LOL
What of honesty? I've posited questions to you and you have ignored them to only make a sly retort to an image depicting your ignorance. I don't say that offensively but truthfully because you have me on ignore. Why don't you take me off ignore and address my questions since you're desiring so greatly the edification of others? This can't be done if you keep ignoring my questions and only comment when it doesn't allow your position to be vulnerable.

You make excuses as to why you have me on ignore and now I clearly see it's because you believe ignorance is bliss. You rather quiet the opposition than address it because it is poking holes in the fabric of your reality. Or should I say bubble? I am not trying to be aggressive, if I am coming off that way. You are ignoring me unjustly and then call for unity and the ignoring of others for edification. What a false sense of security.

sad things is yuo have been kinder longer than any of us, And yet even in your kindness, he still ignores you.
I truly don't understand why he has me on ignore as if I am harassing him. I don't like that he has me on ignore because it makes me think I've wronged him when in fact I have not. I go over our discussions and fail to see why he would ignore me when we were, quite awhile back, having friendly and civil biblical discussion. I just don't know...

in Genesis 15:13 God was for telling Abram of his people going to be in bondage 400 years, wasn't he talking about Moses and the Hebrew children? Nobody can tell me their was no Law to live by before Moses. Well they can but i won't believe it.

Pardon my forthrightness but what does it matter if judgement, mercy, and faith were in the Law? What is your point? These things were in the Law and the Pharisees neglected to do them... so they were hypocrites in that they made themselves to look righteous, outwardly, but were in fact not so.

Where is this leading to? Those three things in the Law don't in any way impart life to us, only Jesus does. Once again, the Law condemns but Christ came to save the world. These things may be found in the Law but so what? They are important principles to live by, but what is your point? Are you trying to show that the Law is holy, just and good as scripture states? We already know that, but it can't make us so.

PS: Faith would impart life and that faith is in Jesus Christ. So we have examples of faith in the Torah and it is only that faith that saves. The righteousness that is of faith and not works.
Just-me, this is the post I was referring to you. Reply? :)

Emotional blindness to spiritual realities

Jesus was saying the pharisees had created a structure that maintained their power but changed nothing in the society.
We can end up in the same place, were our righteousness is a mask but is defeated and hypocritical.

What does God want? People who speak from a pure heart and live a life of love.
The problem is many find their hearts and emotions are out of control, flying all over the place. The answer, apply truth and the emotions will follow like a cart and horse.

The problem is the emotional chaos may have a real cause, which if not dealt with, will always cause chaos and a lack of seeing things properly. But to start down this road you have to be honest with yourself and trust Jesus and his love and victory. So many live under the tyranny of internal feelings that threaten to tear them apart. They would rather live the lie and hold things together than let go and let the Lord minister to them.

And so a pharisee is born, compromised, but appearing whole. The sign of this inner failure, nothing important is dealt with, just avoided. Everything internal is private and defended, how dare you suggest there are any problems at all.

I have had problems up to the sky, but I am weak and need help, the Lord is the King of creation, so He holds the key and heals and transforms me into His glorious kingdom.

Why do I say these things? Because I want to convey there is real hope, and things are not as they seem, and the Lord can heal and bring you through.

LOL! no worries...I'm not this brilliant at my faith every day you know!

had a long drive yesterday into the city for something and on the way back I was able to reflect on some truths and God has a way of holding up a mirror and saying 'lookkee here'...and it doesn't hurt but instead you thank Him for His mercy and understanding

I am a person who struggles with understanding...in that I have to have cerebral satisfaction rather than good feelings in order to feel good...if that makes sense?

and with our limited brain functionning down here, that can be a challenge, but I can beat myself up until God says 'stay that hand'...so more and more I appreciate the difference between what God has done for me and how little and sad what I can do for Him actually is...and yet...He accepts my little and sad and turns it into something treasured...like a Father accepting the childish drawing just given by him by his 5 year old, done at school....and tacks it on the fridge with a fancy magnet

well thank you kind sir! as Paul says nothing good dwells in our flesh....good thing we can shower!

ember,
'your [post was we think, even more Biblical than you may realize:cool: - you under-estimated yourself....
in the older Hebrew Language, when the statement was made, 'you shall love the Lord your God
with all of your heart, soul and mind, 'heart wasn't understood as it is today', it was the total
intellectual capacity of the mind. if someone was head-over-heels in love with someone back then,
they wouldn't say, I love you with all of my heart, they would say, I love you with all of my kidneys!lol:rolleyes:

1TIM.1:7.
For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

so, our Father gives us a sound mind, coupled with the Holy Spirit, and through this we can prove all things
and obtain a good understanding - and the things that we are yet to comprehend or understand, He will
give us the gift of Revelation at some point in our journey....we are so thankful that there is so much to
learn, live, share, Love, and look forward to........ROMANS 8:24.
