LOL Thats funny I dont care who ya are!!
Before I bought my home I had neighbors on all sides, above and below. A young couple moved in upstairs. They were young, just starting out and broke.
They used to play their music so loud that the bass rumbled through my ceiling. So being the helping neighbor that I am; I provided them wooden blocks to put underneath their speakers. That worked for awhile until they decided they didnt want to use the wood blocks any longer with no regard to my sanity! Ha!
So I did as any wise resourceful person would do. I out spent them! I bought a powerful sound bar with super sub woofer and placed it ON TOP of the highest shelf pointed toward the ceiling. Problem was solved. They got the message. There was peace in the neighborhood once again![]()
that's funny!
I had a similar incident a long time ago. I was working days, and my neighbor was up all night. Nice fellow, but he would crank up his classical music loud enough that I couldn't get to sleep.
After a few times of this I set my 100W tube amp up in the window on a desk, cranked it which brought the overdrive in, and racked off some Metallica for him, one long song. I saw him stare at me a while, when I quit I just shrugged my shoulders at him...never had anymore trouble from him!
Sometimes ya just hafta.

I finally was able to get some time in and work on a stained glass project!

I don't know if you can really see it very well in this pic, but the web will be made with varieties of clear glass. I also added some color accents in a few random spots using scraps I had left over from previous projects. I made some spiders I was gonna dangle from the web, but they got sold, so I have to make more. I got about half the pieces cut and should have the piece finished by this weekend.
i'm currently working on my skillzzzz.
lol
Cat, your stained glass projects completely amaze me.
I picked up two books on stained glass to page through while on the treadmill and something that always astounds me is how learning a new hobby is really like learning a new language. I really found some of the terms and definitions to be intriguing, such as, "cathedral glass."
I really love your spider web project (can't wait to see the finished pics) because it reminds me of this:
