I will start with my 'embarissing confession' lol

Okay so...I am age 29....
My heart wants to wait....
So I decide ....

'Patience'......

I sew quilts like it's goin out of style in my thirties....waiting.

Ahhhh THEN at 38.....

Uh...Brainstorm!

Hee

I didn't vibe singles bars.....so Library yea!

37...I was going to meet my love at the Library! Yesssss!

So one day I waited.....
Quiet day
Where are all the nerds?

So....sigh....I waited .....

I thought

Cool! I am going to find him....
I am going to find him here!


So I browsed the library. .....

Tick tock Tick tock
drab......

Then he came!

Smile.....intent of nerdy such things...and beauttiful nerdy stuff and things

Sigh.....
I thought I saw....
the man of my dreams. ....


So I browse....
the aisles.....

I had religion..art..opera....and Einstein in my arms... right?
Thinkin' I am a tall blonde gonna win the love....of a true guy who will love me for my heart. ..yea * rollseyes* ?

So I remember....

Guy....Smile....loves books......
Is he the one?

Sooo...

Sigh...end story....
Skylove dropped an Einstein book in the aisle....in front of him....sigh just to get a guy to care for my heart...ya know?

So I drop the Einstein biography in front of this winner....and I say "oooh pardon me!) Yea I did girls lol

And as this guy With glasses...I thought "he maybe the one"

As he slowly picks my 'Einstein's Biography' book up of the floor...I ahem...purposely dropped to meet a winner's heart....

Ahhh....yes!
Those moments that fail me in life's love attempt....

well, i've never done anything to meet someone, but i do have a random story.

it was my first year of college. i didn't know a single person on campus. i spoke to my future roomie ONCE on the phone. other than that, i knew no one. 1st day, i met quite a few people at new student orientation and also through my roomie since she had older siblings on campus, so she knew quite a few people.

next morning, roomie and i go to the cafeteria for breakfast. all of a sudden, some dude sits at our table without introducing himself and starts talking to us. i look at roomie, waiting for her to introduce her friend. she looks at me with the same look. i guess he saw the confusion on our faces, and he says to me, "you already forgot who i am? we met yesterday!"

me: no we didn't.
him: yes we did! we met yesterday. i know we did.
me: ...........????
him: *covers up his nametag* you know my name. what is it?
me: .... i don't know your name! ok if we met yesterday, then what is my name?
him: *thinks* ........ maybe we didn't meet.
me: that's what i've been saying!

and that's when we introduced ourselves -_-

Well one day I was born and my mother brought me home and I met my brothers and sister. I have terrible memory because I can't actually remember meeting them :/

So my first year of college I went to the cafeteria after a class and sat by myself at the counter style table....like the restaurants that have that long table by the register/kitchen...some other college student comes up and sits next to me and starts talking about how he is a time traveler....

Another time at college, I was sitting at a booth in the corner when a bunch of little kids came in to eat because the college was giving a tour to elementary or middle-school students.....This one college student who had seen me in some criminal justice classes decided to sit with me and cower in the corner.....come to find out he is also in criminal justice....We met and ended up becoming friends all because he was afraid of the little kids and trying to hide from them....

My weirdest is actually from youthgroup.....this was the week of the lower grade students being able to step up because they were going up a grade level....well the youth-pastor sent me to go do something for him while he explained the game and introduced the new ones....I get back up as everyone is running off to play the game...well the youth-pastor tells me it is manhunt...without telling me it is the modified version and he chose two new ones that we were supposed to find that I had no clue who they were....So I take off to find a place to hide while I watch to see what is going on....I find me friend and decide to hide in an old closet because he is standing in the open so they will chase him and I can sneak away...The ones trying to tag us find us and I sneak away and go upstairs.....well the two taggers basically planned how to get everyone and set a bunch of traps...well I get trapped in one room with my bestfriend and 10 new kids...we are chased into it...so My bestfriend and I hold the door shut. It then dawns on us that this is the room with the ladder in the back that leads to a lower room...so we send the new ones down there to make sure the other tagger isn't down there....we find out the hall outside the lower level is clear so I send my bestfriend down the ladder first while I hold the door shut, then take off as the kid comes chasing us....We run out and some reason all head in the same direction to escape and waiting at the end of the hall around the corner is the other tagger....I jump into a closet as they both reach me and I am standing there trying to hold this door shut thinking I am the last one left....when I hear a bunch of giggling behind me.....turns out 4 new girls were hiding in that closet the whole game....well I try to get them to help me hold the door shut against these 2 and they just stand there giggling....I was about to run away from the giggling girls when one of them says "you don't know who we are, do you?"
"No"
"we are (insert names)"
Then I am thinking why is your name important when we are trying to get away from these two......but say "oh, nice to meet you" which just gets them giggling more....
turns out we were playing where two of them could tag the taggers and whoever was left in the game won....the youth-pastor thought it was hilarious when I came back and he said "How did you win, I forgot to tell you about the modified rules?" After I told him the story he made sure to tease me about it and sen me to do things for him every chance he could get.........his favorite past-time was messing with people...but that is how I met the 4 new girls at youthgroup a few years ago....

So, I met my writing instructor by accident the first day of the term. I was working on shredding some papers and I was not paying attention and I turned around and there he was in fact he startled me. Lol. Anyway, he began asking me questions like what major I am and asked if I read any good books lately. I quickly said the bible as that was the only thing that came to mind. We talked about the weather and how our day was going. It wasn't until I turned back around to get back to work when another instructor walked in and called him by his first name. In my mind I was like wait a minute, he is my instructor for tomorrow and we continued talking for ten minutes and I was the only student he knew the first day of class, not so sure that was a good thing because now he calls on me all the time and today gave me extra credit for something I don't understand the process of why he thinks I deserve it

They sat behind me and poke me and said hello many times.. 1 of them even said to the other guy to move besides me.. I feel really uncomfortable (and afraid.. lol).. Then before they move, i grab someone who sat infront of me and said: "Hey, are you Fernandes??" and he looks surprised and said "No, why??" I said "Really?? Oh..then i was wrong.. I'm so sorry" He look at me with weird face.. lol.. but glad that group of guy got silent after that.. My friend (who sat near me kinda shocked and she keep remembering that time until now and tease me)

After that moment, I just know that we're going to the same church and we became friend since that..

One time I was on a trip with some buds, and we were having dinner at a restaurant/lounge.

This really beautiful girl was sitting next to us, all alone, so I struck up a conversation.
We talked and laughed, and had the nicest time.
She was completely adorable.
She was just soooo easy to talk to, and sooo pretty... and she was flirting with me sooo hard.
It was a truly FANTASTIC day, lol.

My buddies and I finally finished dinner, and before heading out the door, I asked the girl out.
She beamed the biggest, prettiest smile, gave me her number, and in the sweetest little voice said, "I'll be waiting."

When I got outside, my buddies burst into uncontrollable laughter.
I said, "Hey, what's so funny?"
That just made them laugh even harder.
Soon they were literally doubled over.
They were having a complete fit, laughing so hard they could barely breathe.

I was just staring at them... mystified at their bizarre behavior.

Finally one of my friends straightened himself up, slapped me on the back, and said, "Man, that girl was HOT wasn't she?"
I said, "Yeah. She really was."

Then my buddy got really quiet, looked me dead in the eye, and said,
"You DO realize she was a hooker?"

I met my now husband of 11 years, me and my friend were driving down the road and just being silly starting whistling and hooting out the window at him as we drove by & he flagged us down to stop exchanged numbers, and so on. A lot of the ways I met some of my oldest childhood friends were funny. My friend Scott that I still hang out with from time to time wasn't my friend until about senior year of highschool. Lol still remember the first time I met him though as he was always around in the city and at school. Was in first grade and I didn't know how to tie my shoes and recess was just about over so I asked him randomly if he would tie my shoes for me. Lol while I wasn't looking he tied the laces together lol. I looked down and laughed and thought it was hilarious then and still do. Lol the happy ending to the story I suppose is that same day I had my carnal dad teach me to tie my shoes properly lol.

This is off subject but . . .

One day while working as an EMT, my partner and I responded to a motor vehicle accident where someone blew a stop sign and T-boned another car. The car that was T-boned jumped the curb as well as a few concrete steps and came to rest at the front door of someone's house.

The woman who was T-boned was slightly injured but nothing life-threatening. As we treated her, I told her, if she really wanted to have lunch with the person who owned the house, all she had to do was call.

She said having the accident was worth it because she hadn't laughed that hard in a long time.
