It is very easy to know the coming Revelation Babylon will be in Jerusalem with the coming false messiah setup there. Rev.11 even shows us God's two witnesses showing up in Jerusalem to prophesy against the beast, and then he kills them there.
Orthodox Jews don't like to hear this, because they will be deceived into setting up that false messiah wrongly thinking he will be the True Messiah.
Our Lord Jesus warned us about this event destined for the very end of this world in Matt.24:23-26, Rev.13:11 forward and Rev.11 & 17, in the Book of Daniel concerning the "abomination of desolation" which REQUIRES a standing temple in Jerusalem, and by Apostle Paul in 2 Thess.2:3-4 concerning that coming false messiah who will sit in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God, and over that is called God, or that is worshiped.
So who do you think would most benefit from pointing this last days false messiah event, that is declared in God's Word, away... from Jerusalem, and instead to another location, like America, etc.?

What you're not understanding per the prophecy is that the Revelation Babylon harlot city is NOT manifested yet; it will only manifest when the beast kingdom of Rev.13:1-2, and the "another beast" of Rev.13:11 forward is manifest. The world leaders are still working on that today. And another thing you're not realizing is the "abomination of desolation" prophecy in the Book of Daniel is part those Revelation events for the very end (1260 days; or 42 months). That abomination idol, or "image of the beast" of Rev.13, is to be setup in only one location on earth for the end, and that is Jerusalem.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that Babylon didn't have an aviation program.
Babylon was neither a republic nor democracy.

The Babylon of Revelation does represent the historical Babylon of old, but that one God already passed judgment upon, so it is not the one in Revelation, though the end time one will be based on it on a world-wide scale.
I remember many years ago when the U.N. declared Jerusalem as "The International City of Peace". The U.N. set Israel and Jerusalem's borders in 1948 and 1967 and still controls that today. And their goal today is still to institute a one-world government system over all nations on the earth.
So what city will they use as their headquarters for that? New York city is a meeting place for the U.N. body today, so why would they not claim New York city instead as that International City of Peace?
We are given plenty of Scripture evidence that Jerusalem is where the center will be for the end time events to play out. When our Lord Jesus warned those who see the "abomination of desolation" setup involving a temple, He was pointing to Jerusalem, not New York city. Orthodox unbelieving Jews are against that idea though, as they believe today is time when God is going to re-establish Jerusalem and the state of Israel like it was before the Romans destroyed the city and temple in 70 A.D.
Yet our Lord Jesus and His Apostle Paul warned us about the coming of a false one that will exalt himself in place of God, and that he will cause the deceived to bow to his "image of the beast" he will setup, and those who refuse are to be killed. That is the same kind of trials that Daniel and his fellows went through with the old Babylon system. I do not believe the Babylon of Revelation of the USA. I believe it was Apostate Israel and Jerusalem in particular. The book of Revelation was written for real first century churches who were told the events described in them were to happen soon, not centuries in the future. The whore and the beast are two separate things. When Christ stood before Pilate the mob shouted
we have no king but Caesar. They rejected Christ as their Messiah and swore allegiance to Rome. Apart from this Israel is called a prostitute in a number of places. It is the only nation in the scriptures described as one. As Revelation states the whore rode on the back of the beast that hated it and destroyed it with fire. The Romans did this in 70AD. Many object to this because of the belief that
Revelation was written around 95AD. There is little evidence for this apart from a statement by Iraneus who claimed it was
written during the reign of Diocletian. He wrote centuries after that date and could have got it wrong. He did so when claiming Christ was fifty years old when he was crucified. Also if it was it is very strange that the destruction of the Temple and City is not mentioned anywhere in the book. It is not mentioned in any NT writing apart from the prophecy of Christ in
the Gospels. I believe that the Beast is Rome and is personified as Nero Caesar, whose name in Greek translates to the number 666.

So, you think that because of the phrase, "must soon take place" or "the time is near" that this means that those things had to happen within the first century? Regarding this, please consider the following scriptures:
Isaiah 13:6-8 - Wail, for the day of the Lord is near; it will come like destruction from the Almighty.
Isaiah 13:9-13 - See, the day of the Lord is coming -a cruel day, with wrath and fierce anger--to make the land desolate and destroy the sinners within it.

Joel 1:15 - Alas for that day! For the day of the Lord is near; it will come like destruction from the Almighty.
Joel 2:1-2 - Blow the trumpet in Zion; sound the alarm on My holy hill. Let all who live in the land tremble, for the day of the Lord is coming. It is close at hand.
Zephaniah 1:14-18 - The great day of the Lord is near - near and coming quickly
Revelation 1 -The revelation from Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show his servants what must soon take place.
The above a just a few of the scriptures that claim that "the day of Lord is near or coming quickly." Now, I'm sure that you will agree that the day of the Lord has yet to take place and therefore, these references of "near" and "coming quickly" must have a different meaning, as it was around 800 BCE when Isaiah and Joel gave these prophecies. Therefore, The Old Testament passages dealing with the day of the Lord often convey a sense of imminence, nearness, and expectation. Regarding immanency, it is not something that you can set a date to but means something about to occur, (but with no set time), on the horizon, about to happen, in the workings, looming, etc. Therefore, the events of revelation, the seals, trumpets and bowl judgments will be the fulfillment of the day of the Lord, which is still imminent.
Sometime during that last 3 1/2 years, scriptures states that the beast and ten kings will hate the woman and will burn her with fire. The angel tells John "the woman you saw is that great city that rules over the kings of the earth" and since the woman is identified as a city, then the woman cannot be the US because it is a country and not a city. The angel also told John that the seven heads of the beast figuratively represented seven hills upon which the woman sits, which would mean that it is a city that sits on seven hills. This would remove the possibility of Israel being the woman as being that city, for Israel is a nation and not a city, nor could it be referring to Jerusalem which is a city but does not sit on seven hills.
Also, scripture states the beast and the kings will hate the woman/city and will destroy her and burn her with fire. According to scripture, the result of her destruction will be that no musicians will be heard in her ever again, no worker of any trade will ever found in her again, the light of a lamp will never shine in her again and the voice of bridegroom and bride will never be heard in her again. Therefore, the woman's destruction cannot be referring to the destruction of the temple in 70 A.D. and that because the temple is not a city, does not sit on seven hills and both Israel and Jerusalem are still very much inhabited.

Regarding immanency, it is not something that you can set a date to but means something about to occur, (but with no set time), on the horizon, about to happen, in the workings, looming, etc. Therefore, the events of revelation, the seals, trumpets and bowl judgments will be the fulfillment of the day of the Lord, which is still imminent.
Sometime during that last 3 1/2 years, scriptures states that the beast and ten kings will hate the woman and will burn her with fire. The angel tells John "the woman you saw is that great city that rules over the kings of the earth" and since the woman is identified as a city, then the woman cannot be the US because it is a country and not a city. The angel also told John that the seven heads of the beast figuratively represented seven hills upon which the woman sits, which would mean that it is a city that sits on seven hills. This would remove the possibility of Israel being the woman as being that city, for Israel is a nation and not a city, nor could it be referring to Jerusalem which is a city but does not sit on seven hills.
Also, scripture states the beast and the kings will hate the woman/city and will destroy her and burn her with fire. According to scripture, the result of her destruction will be that no musicians will be heard in her ever again, no worker of any trade will ever found in her again, the light of a lamp will never shine in her again and the voice of bridegroom and bride will never be heard in her again. Therefore, the woman's destruction cannot be referring to the destruction of the temple in 70 A.D. and that because the temple is not a city, does not sit on seven hills and both Israel and Jerusalem are still very much inhabited.

FUNNY how many ignore the fact that Babylon is called a mystery and identified as a CITY NO LESS THAN 6 TIMES IN REVELATION....John knew what ROME LOOKED LIKE and he called Babylon a MEGA CITY AND A MYSTERY CITY THAT REIGNS OVER THE KINGS OF THE EARTH!
Correct, and it's because the Revelation Babylon harlot city is still yet to manifest today. Because of the persecutions of the Catholic Church upon Protestants back in history, the Protestants then thought that as proof that Rome represented the Babylon harlot of Revelation, and they expected Jesus' second coming in their days. It did not occur though, and it has been many centuries of waiting Jesus' return since then. As a matter of fact, the very prophecies for the end which they thought were happening then, also included their belief that they were the particular last generation that the end time prophecies were happening to. Those who are still keeping that tradition alive today simply are not updating their understanding of the times and the seasons in God's Word.

I believe there is a double application to the prophecies of Revelation and other parts of the Bible. However I firmly believe that a fulfilment did happen in the first century and where it says in Revelation something must soon take place and the time is near it means just that in plain English. Otherwise the whole message to the seven churches would be nonsense to them.
For example they are asked to calculate the number of the beast. However much wisdom they had how on earth were they supposed to do that if it only applies to those living some 2000 years later? There are a number of other things connected with this that I haven't the time or space to include.

With these two verses above, we can see that the woman, Mystery Babylon, is in fact a city and this city sits on seven hills. This would be pointing us to Rome who was literally built on and famous for her seven hills, which then points us to the headquarters of her pagan religious system, the Vatican, which exhibits those practices and rituals of the mystery religions that stemmed from Babylon. Another one of the clues that God left us, is that it is written that the woman is dressed in purple and scarlet, which are the base colors worn by the RCC's liturgy.

I agree that some of the RCC teachings are patently false. Problem is the RCC did not exist in the first century so the first readers would not have had a clue what it all meant if the RCC is Babylon. There were Priests that wore Purple and Scarlet then. The Temple Priests wore them. The high Priest also wore a plate on his forehead inscribed with dedicated to the Lord on it. The Harlot had one on her head an exact parady of the High Priest.
The spirit of Babylon is in organized religion. Drunk with the blood(spiritual life) of the saints.
