I tried out for the job, but Jim beat me in the finals. (Ah well, it only paid $4.96 an hour.)
Any man who could pull off the pirate puffy-shirt look could be Fabio.

Well, neither Jim nor I are as good looking (pretty?) as Fabio, but it was a hoot to think I might actually get to be Tarzan.

I think it's possible to be Tarzan, just get stranded in Africa with no human contact...it's just that easy! ;)

I noticed you only told us the 'good' (or what you consider good) qualities that you have. But you didn't tell us anything bad...like are you quick to anger? Do you have problems with patience? Are you really a Christian? Do you have a job in theology? (B/c those are hard to come by)

What I'm saying is that you think you're a great guy, and maybe your are, but you are also blind to your weaknesses and maybe women can see those and they don't like them.

My post is not to be mean, but to help you understand why you haven't gotten a PM or a girlfriend. We all have weaknesses, so don't feel bad about it.
God bless, brother!

Yeah, but they don't pay you for doing it that way. And..... there are no free lifetime passes to Busch Gardens.

Ouch, lol.

This is exactly why I never ask Molly any questions.

What kinda crazy guy actually wants honest answers from a woman anyway?

: )

LOL I didn't mean to be mean...sorry OP! I just mean that everyone has flaws and no one is that perfect to where people would be dying to date him/her.

I have flaws myself: don't have a job, haven't finished college, still unsure of my future, extremely shy, short, impatient....the list goes on.

Don't feel bad OP...I really just wanted you to understand. Like look at the bad qualities I just listed about myself, I bet I've met guys that probably wanted to date me but wouldn't because they didn't like one of the bad qualities I have. You see where I'm getting at?

Maxwel, you're so silly!

Speaking as someone who has been married 35 years, a resume would never appeal to me.

If my husband had looked at my resume prior to meeting me, and I had looked at his, we never would have met. We would seem to not have a lot in common. Our goals and directions would not have been in sync.

However, I would have been attracted by his pic, as I know he would be by mine. But looks should never be the basis of a relationship a long term one. Because looks can change, fade, get better, worse, etc.

But when we did meet, there were a lot of factors neither of us would have been able to define in a resume that we did have in common. Like our sense of humour. Like our love of the outdoors and camping. Our enjoyment of folk music. (Oh, that really changed later on - thank the Lord for Ipods and IPhones with ear phones for traveling!)

Then there was our common love of Jesus Christ. In the end, that was the most important thing.

Well, except maybe for his smell! (I love it!) And that is something you just can't duplicate in a resume! Or his peaceful way of calming me down, holding me when I am hurting, and the look on his face when he used to play with his young children and now grandchildren.

Those are things you can only find out in person. I think someone else suggested getting involved in some community groups or activities. Or church activities. Meet some real life girls, don't come on too strong. A lot of women like me, like the strong, silent type. Another thing you won't see written into a resume.

As for those weaknesses, never be afraid to share them, I agree. Honesty and integrity, which are the glue in a good marriage, means that you need to be honest right from the start. Oh yes, spark! There is something about a good relationship that requires a certain spark. You'll know when it happens.

I hope that helps a bit.

I figure Fabio gets free passes because he got hit by a goose while on one of the rides there. Many people say he was "goosed" but I just take a "gander" at those comments and find them ridiculous.

You two should start a self-help thread "Ask Max & Molly." You can do the good cop/bad cop thing where you sugarcoat, and she pulls no punches.

the only person who is "dying" to have a relationship with you is God.
