Lol, so that's why you alone get all the blame when the mic feeds back (or when the mic doesn't work... which, most of the time is because people forget they have to switch it on). I go to New Creation Church in Singapore, which happens to be a mega church, so it's a little overwhelming. Other than learning how to handle system, I'll have to learn to work with a team of different sound appreciation skills. I can't wait to play with their mixers, but they probably won't let me touch anything until I know what I'm doing, or until they're confident that I know what I'm doing lel.
Ahhh, that explains it.

That also explains the sound appreciation team. In a regular sound setup - church, club, small concert, whatever - the sound man can just trust his ears and adjust what is coming through the speakers based on what he hears. With a mega church the sound man's ears can't cover everywhere (even with headphones and monitoring different outputs... no replacement for actualling being on the floor listening to what is really coming out of the speakers) so he really needs "spotters" to tell him what needs to be changed in different areas of the arena. Makes sense.

Multilingual messenger, you have been summoned. Is it more flattering to tell a girl "estas guapa" or "eres guapa"? Im pretty sure Eres is the better word but I never seen eres used like this. Whats a better word to use than guapa? Something with a little more flavor

*Lynx picks his jaw up off the floor.

How big is this church again? At my church (+/-115 on a given Sunday) I'm the only one who knows how the sound system is put together. Not that it's that complex, it's just I'm the only one who bothers. I can't even imagine 20 people... even taking turns...

*Lynx gives up and just lets his jaw hang.
My church has a convention centre that can seat up to 60,000 people. And they have 8-10 roof-mounted Peavey speakers every 60 feet. I think the entire convention centre has over a 100 Peavey speakers. The core team who sit within the main control room consists of 8 members. Then they have about 15-20 members in teams of 3-5 managing the smaller relay units. Then they have a third team that is responsible for lugging equipment and being the "spotters".

Guess what the coolest part is? My late maternal grandfather had designed and overseen the construction of this convention centre. :D
