I really enjoy reading the stories here... and some of them are hitting my soft spot.

Literally. The fitness room I usually go to has been closed for 2 weeks due to various events, and I know the progress I was working towards is now turning a bit squishy.

Right now, the sweetest thing someone could say to me is, "You're really too skinny, and you really need to eat. Here, I'm taking you out for a double-decker lunch with all the extras... No, I insist!! Obviously, it's something you REALLY need!"

I'm swooning already!

Skip the double decker lunch, I'd hurt somebody for a double decker oatmeal creme pie. They no longer sell them around here.

What? It has OATMEAL in it! That's healthy.

Various songs and music... various nature sounds... Caring, Pure-Hearted Little Kids... Certain women's voices... there have been a handful that were just sweet to hear, especially when they sang... Mmm... Those are probably the sweetest things I've heard. Maybe certain infants (not all) that have a super joyful, infectious laugh/giggle... that's a pretty sweet sound too.

One of the sweetest things I heard recently was my brother calling me his best friend :)

When my daughter was three years old and sitting on the potty I was putting on a new roll of toilet paper and she looked up at me with her big brown eyes and said..... "Wow Mommy" you know how to do everything." I thought to myself how cute and adoring she was looking at me and said to myself.....I hope when she turns into a teenager she will feel the same way she does right now.....lol

PS She grew up and discovered I am a flawed individual, and she still loves me anyway.

When I left to go back to school, my daughter said to me, "Mom when you left, you took part of me." My son said, "Mom call me anytime."

These are the children who said when in high school that they hated me because I stayed on them and made sure they graduated from high school. Praise God they both graduated with good grades. Now they say, "Mom we didn't understand it then, but you are the best mom."

A coworker was telling me that her and another coworker were having a some kind of deep conversation and one of them asked "if you had to marry someone here right now or else something bad would happen who would you marry?" Apparently they both said they would marry me.

We've all had our share of sweet moments. This isn't limited to romance but any thing sweet you've heard. Today, I've been contemplating on unconditional love and how this says a lot: "I love you and there's nothing you can do about it". It's just amazing that this is the main thing that separates us from the world, we can love even when it's not lovely. It's the same love that keeps us alive on the inside. And it's really uberly sweet.

Share!
Well, mine is unfortunately (or maybe fortunately?) romance. Before passing away from cancer, a professor I had would always say to his wife (and vice versa) "I love you more than yesterday, and less than tomorrow." They were married for 50 years.

YEAH!

There's a little grecian place near here that makes their baklava homemade. Mmmmmm!

On the other hand they use stuffed grape leaves from a can. Not cool. But everything else they serve is made from scratch.

Recently my 5 year old niece came up to me and said
"Pippy...? How do I be a good woman like you when I grow up? " Talk about humbling experiences... It made me want to beg God to help me be the example I need to be . It was so sweet it made me tear up .
