Okay, I was at place de la republique to honor the victims. Near a thousand people were there. They were singing "oh Happy Day" and holding signs giving free hugs and then BBC radio interviewed me...which was stressful because I don't like that sort of thing. I don't know if any noticed on the news that there was a false alarm...? I was there, standing on the statue at place de la republique and my husband was standing beside me. Well, I was taking a picture and people started to scream and run. My husband got separated from me instantly. I almost got knocked off of the statue (which is kind of high up) and jumped down to start running.

So many things were going through my mind. I thought I was going to be shot in the back, how was I going to find my husband, I needed to call my mom to say goodbye if something went wrong...my husband finally found me. We went across the street to wait and I called my mom. I scared the poor woman to death because people started to run again and I was on the phone with my mother running while screaming and crying, "Mom, I don't know what's happening." just over and over. People were running into cafe's...it was this big stampede. I saw children on the ground screaming and no one cared...I feel like I saw the worst of selfish humanity tonight.

We found out that someone had set firecrackers off...REALLY?! This idiot...someone could have been trampled to death and died...people were injured because of this idiot.

So, that's what going on at the moment. This happened a few hours ago and I needed to take a breather and get out of my fight or flight mode...scariest thing in my life. So continue to pray for us...we're scared, we're jumpy but we're all together singing to God and trying to love one another...

Paris Mourners Flee After False Alarm Causes Panic
Please stay safe.

Our prayers are with you and all of those trapped in the senseless violence.

This is when this gets difficult:

[SUP]43 [/SUP]“You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor[SUP][a][/SUP] and hate your enemy.’ [SUP]44 [/SUP]But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, [SUP]45 [/SUP]that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.

... and that's even for those of us that didn't loose anyone in the attacks....
That scripture was never meant to promote the idea that we turn our nation and society over to killers and rapist ...in fact the truth of punishing evil doers with the sword is upheld and approved as Gods evident will in the New testament epistles .. I suggest you may not really understand the will of God on this issue if you believe that scripture conflicts with the defense of our society against evil forces.

SO anyone fed up with all the over the top fake caring over social media? I was questioned why my profile image did not have that stupid French flag overlay on it. Meanwhile hundreds of people die and no one knows about it. Bomb in Beruit is prime example.

I don't hate Muslims in general. But this crap about peaceful religions is well, crap. Let's be frank here. I'm thankful that so many Muslims in the world are bad at their religion, otherwise we'd be even more of a mess. Watered-down Christianity is bad, but I'm fine with watered-down Islam.

some may call it revenge, I call it righteous warfare.
Joshua much? people were terrified of him and his army because when they attacked they left utter desolation. maybe that's the way we should be. Our retaliation should be so swift and so severe that they basically pee in their pants at the thought of us
How has this become your understanding of it being Gods will in this particular moment, in this particular event? Unless God gives you that order, thru His Spirit...you will be wrong. All things turn out for good for those who love the Lord. How can we know of Gods will in anything, unless we remain in Him to find out? Or are we to limit Gods responses, and timing, by acting upon man's own understanding by way of our dedication to a creed of righteousness, rather than the author of it? Who can know the right timing of things? US? No! We are to respond to God not set our paths by way of our own understanding of Him. But in real time with Him right there interacting. I sense revenge, yet God says, "Vengeance is mine sayeth the Lord." Is man the author of Justice? We do respond by His calling, but never by our own understanding alone-first.

I prefer to call them 'cultural Muslims' and 'cultural Christians'. They are religious just because their parents raised them that way or because they were born in such a country. Terrorists like those devils from ISIS have studied their religion and know what they're doing and why they're doing it.

Actually, 99% of what's wrong with this country can be traced back to an ignorant electorate that votes based on sound bites and a coin toss.

And I suggest you study a bit more about Islam's history of violence. Islam is extremist by definition. It's their way of working: Allah or death. It has always been like this. It's not because of the past 20 years. Did you hear of the ottoman empire? Did you hear of the fall of Constantinopole? 1000 years of Christian high civilization and culture erased in one deadly night by these barbarians. Did you hear about the christian children stolen from Romanian people (and not only Romanian people) in order to convert them in soldiers (the Janissaries) and fight against their own Christian parents? Islam has always been about cowardly murdering other people.
And did you hear about how Christian's used Christianity as a way to explain the abuse of black slaves or how Portuguese Christians tried to strip Japan of it's beliefs therefore causing Japan to close it's border for over 300 years...? I mean we can go on and on here but you are still just taking what I say and twisting it all weird...I repeat, I'm talking about actions from our government in the past 20 years have been leading to the terrorist attacks that are occurring now. I'm not talking about the past, I'm talking about this century...then again, I wasn't the first one to start xenophobic comments...
Anyways, this is my last response to this post. After experiencing what happened this night and seeing everything unfold...I think I need to put more to concentrating on helping others and being here for my friends and family affected by this instead of arguing with people who put everyone in a group and call them all evil...

God Bless All and stop with the hate, it's not appealing nor godly at all...

It's like, we're all fruits. There are two branches (ignoring the rest of the world's religions) Bible and Quran. Bible has its share of warfare but the message of love is clear. Quran, however, is clear about infidels and getting rid of them.

The fruits of Quran are all muslims, both peaceful and extremists included. As long as they stay connected to the same branch, there will always be that 'risk' that they could turn extremists, even the peaceful ones. Mitspa is pointing out that we should protect our countries from these risks. Cause the price to be paid is death of our own people. And that is not wrong. I have known peaceful Muslims in my life, but I will not endanger the lives of others for their sake. I, however, can choose to give my life, that's if I was called to do it. And that's my problem.

The fruits of the Bible, needless to say are us Christians. As long as we stay connected to the Branch, Jesus, there's a risk that we'd become martyrs and die for others. That's not a risk.

I see the point that not all muslims are bad. No person is bad ever bad. It's what they believe in that causes them to do things unimaginable. Unless they are cut off from the evil branch, the risk will always be there. Where we disagree here is if we should take the risk. I stand with the rest in not taking that risk. How these people can get saved, is God's problem. I'm sure He knows exactly how to deal with them. He's probably calling people to take this mission of evangelizing the muslim world, but unless He calls me to do it, I will not risk my faith and my people's safety.

Agree to disagree.

Glitter, the word 'slave' exists because the Muslims made a huge slave trade of white people well before black people were enslaved. These slaves were predominantly Slavic people. Again, what you've just mentioned isn't consistent with what the Bible teaches. I'm not sure why so many Christians are ready to falsely represent Christianity's atrocities, but so quick to jump to the defense of Muslims etc. It's mind-boggling.

Yes. I heard. How does that change the FACT that violence is and was the main characteristic of Muslims?

I repeat, I'm talking about actions from our government in the past 20 years have been leading to the terrorist attacks that are occurring now. I'm not talking about the past, I'm talking about this century...then again, I wasn't the first one to start xenophobic comments...
Oh, I see. Now it is the actions of the government that lead to these horrific crimes. When it's not the drawings of Charlie Hebdo, it is the government. Do you actually believe your own non-sense? Cause I don't.
The only blame for these coward crimes is on terrorists ALONE. Not on Charlie Hebdo, not on the government. If the government wrongs you, than you declare war, like a real man, you don't kill brutally and hidden behind a mask, innocent, unarmed people.

It's not godly to fake love when you feel disgust and indignation either. I think it is godly and christian to be honest and be yourself. Right now, I can't feel love for the terrorists. Please, respect that and don't tell me "stop with the hate". I have the right to express my feelings just as anyone else does. I don't even consider that "I hate". I am disgusted and revolted by what happened. Thank's for respecting that!

I know, right?

It looks like a weird attempt to excuse these crimes. Or maybe not to excuse them, but to distract the attention from them. And I don't understand why. I don't think the Catholic Inquisition was alright, I don't think the persecution of Protestant Christians (by Catholics) on the night of Saint Bartholomew was right and I don't believe that Muslims violent invasion on Europe was right.

I believe in freedom. I believe in Charlie Hebdo's freedom to mock my belief even if that hurts me a lot. If I can't prove them wrong with my behavior, or with arguments, I can ignore them, I can pursue them in justice, but when I resort to cowardly killing them I only prove that they defeated me. That they were right when they mocked my religion.

Socialism has very good propaganda ..they refined it to an art...they control the Media, entertainment, education and almost all the government ...throw in that the Republicans have been carrying water for the super rich...and you have a deceived and ignorant electorate.
