Why we are single? (the real reason)

While reading the "why we are single" thread... I could not help think about how many people seem to blame God for their single situation, which im sure is somewhat true in certain situations :confused:

Lets have a honest thread... Ill start out... why am I single?

I kinda like things my own way and its hard for me to give away certain aspects of my liberty...(I have many more)
 
I think l remain single because everytime l go shopping on my first date, (to make her dinner)
....... l ask her if it'd be cool if she pushed me around in the grocery cart while we shopped.


I never get a second date, so l'm assuming they hate my cooking.

You'll have to meet some of the people I work with, Reborn!

My co-workers and I occasionally push each other around the store on U-boats and pallet jacks (because regular carts aren't fast or cool enough :D.) Granted, this is when the store isn't open, so no one actually sees us...

But still.

You might want to work on your cooking.

I'm not 100% sure why I'm still single. But I often wonder if it's because I'm too much like a cat..... and I'm being honest here.

I know dern well why I'm single. Like I said in that other thread, I ain't been looking for someone. And I don't plan to start looking.

Now if I happen to meet a nice lady somewhere and we hit it off and eventually get married, great. In the meantime I'm not spending a lot of time and energy looking for something I don't really have to have right now. My life doesn't have a big gaping hole in it because I'm not married.
 
Im still single because every time a girl flirts with me or says something showing interest in me, I usually panic and get really quiet.
 
I am single because, not many christian girls and family are in our place. To make a life partner i think one should go to another place or country where you find girls who believes Christ

Also, I'm a prude apparently. :p
 
I'm single because I have some more healing to do. I still need to find a blinking full-time job (it's ridiculously difficult at the mo'), find direction again in my life (I thought I'd be a teacher, but the jobs are non-existent), grow in confidence and learn to do a better job of loving myself. Also, I've never been all that popular with the ladies.

    Sounds like a sensible human being to me. Anyway... I digress.. back to the original topic.

    Why am I single? I honestly don't know. Many reasons, but mostly because my past 16 relationships didn't work out...and I haven't come across a 17th yet (for various reasons and a much more cautious nature...not just dating whoever comes around). So..

    Maybe it's a bunch of character flaws (which I kind of feel like the purpose of this post was to expose and own), or bad habits/choices like addictions or spending too much time playing video games... or having a reclusive nature... I dunno.

    Mostly, I think it just hasn't work out yet. One day, maybe I'll find a woman that I'm interested in (emotionally, spiritually, physically, etc) who will feel the same way about me, we'll ask God about it and He'll say "Sure.". If that's the case, we're in His Will and also like each other anyway...I'll probably end up married. If not, then I won't. Either way, there are worse things than being married or single. Both have their blessings and struggles, and I'm trying to learn how to be content in God and myself, loving Him and others more than me. So... I guess that's my answer.




One small rant/comment about singles as posed by my Aunt for a closing anecdote, though...

Single woman (or man). Complains that God hasn't 'sent' someone her way. Never goes out. Isn't involved with lots of people or things. Doesn't give God opportunities to 'send' someone her way.

So, basically, the only way God can 'send' someone your way is to have them break into your house? Sounds like a winning marriage to me... ^_~

Especially if they break in your house and start making supper. I don't think there would be very many complaints that's for sure. Lol
 
I am single because I don't put myself in a position to meet anyone.
 
I'm single because i didnt hear God said "he is the one" yet.. lol :p

I have been in love with a non Christian man (divorce man) but i decided to follow God and i said i'm so sorry i cant have relationship with you (it break my heart still and it took me sometime to move on).. but i'm happy when its done.. i have no regret..

The next is i meet a good "Christian" man.. we talk everyday for several months.. I know God said "I have someone better for you".. being stubborn and i said "No God, i just be friend with him.. its nothing wrong with us.. we just friend to get to know each other well".. God keep showing me that person is not good and i keep saying that we're just friend.. until i realize that i like him more than friend.. I should listen God since begining and not wrestle with God.. :p

So now, i'm still single because i'm trusting my love story to God.. He can see my future.. He can see deep inside someone's heart.. He will giving me the best in His time..
During this time i will fix my own life.. my job, my attitude, and my biggest dream is not about married but i want my entire family could be saved.. and i want be a light for other people too... i realize having crush with wrong person only poisson my relationship with God.. because it need time to heal from that hurt.. so i'll give it all to God, obey and focus on Him only..

Huehehehehe >_< thats my honest reason why i'm still single at this age :)
