So I just finished watching the ENTIRE video and the guy basically said that we must "tishuva" which is hebrew for "turn". We have to turn from our sins. The Bible kinda says it's essential.

Some of the responses on here are crazy and I was going to just go through one by one and then I saw 61 pages and I was like "no thank you".

How the heck is turning from our sin unbiblical?

A christian has been born again of the holy spirit. In their heart they do not want to sin, they want to obey God. The issue is. How is obedience to be achieved?

The New Testament was written in greek...the word for "repent" in greek which is what the New Testament was written in..hot Hebrew...the greek word simply means "to change the mind"..

Did God turn from sin?..no..He changed His mind.

Repenting means to turn change your way of thinking and turn to God....stop relying on your works and come to Jesus and believe in Him alone....his life in us changes us outwardly.

There are "fruits" that can and often do show up after repenting depending on the situation. We that were doing "outwardly bad sins"..eventually they would fall off .

There are really moral living people ( like a buddists) that outwardly you see no "signs" of repenting that is needed. But the sign of changing their mind ( repenting) would be that they say..Jesus is my Lord.

So, repenting does not always mean to turn from sin...it means to change the mind...the life of grace say that the life of Christ in us does the changing as we see Him. 2 Cor 3:18...this would be the fruit of repentance.

Repentance is not about turning from sin per se...it's about turning to believe in Jesus...but His life will eventually produce a change in some form in us..

Cool!...there are many around the world that have a different view of grace then what Dr. Brown has talked about....I would encourage you to look at both sides...and listen to your heart..

No one is saying that sin is good...we are just saying the word repent in the bible does not mean turn from sin as we are told from our religious backgrounds.

We are NOT saying that a Christian does not change... we are saying that stopping sinning is a fruit of the life of Christ in us..which we get because we "repented" and turned to God...

Our emotions and the thoughts in our mind that do not truth..they can be misled.

but the Holy Spirit is in you...He will teach you all things! Trust Him....the anointing is another term for the Holy Spirit

Not if you place your heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Letting go completely, vulnerable to His impact on us wholeheartedly, claiming Him - the protector of it. Not by way of our reasoned sense of it..., but by way of humility, hence receiving "revelation" from God thru Jesus. ending in our conclusion of it in peace and power.

As He shows you Himself experientially, He knows us better than we know ourself. He knows whats best for us overall. And He knows what is purely good and what love He has to offer, for He is love, He is goodness.... It is Himself thru Jesus Christ....that becomes our revelation. The more we see Him, understand Him, the revelation switch is given us, thru the Holy Spirit.... Our obedience immediately follows from the inertia of His grace and He immediately empowers us beyond ourselves, gathering us to Himself.. And turning who we were into who He has made us to be, and protecting us from becoming what we once were ever again...
