Very much appreciate what you posted here and the thoughts and motives behind most of your sharing about the gospel of grace and truth that Jesus brought Grace777. And the verses you posted with it. Especially John 6:63.
As Christians we can approach growth by working hard and keep trying to do well enough to make God pleased with us or we can already know God is pleased with us based on where Jesus put us and then 'work' from that completed victory.
Perspective (what we believe) makes all the difference in the world for us personally in how we conduct ourselves. If we KNOW we are loved and approved by our Father., we can walk it out by faith because it is what God now says about us. It's not a worldy 'positive' attitude.. it's a faith believing what God has done already and says about us in Christ 'attitude'. It's our sonship., our inheritance.
Jesus didn't come to make bad people good but to make dead people alive. And as we have heard before., if we are believing the 'right' way, our faith will be based on proper believing. As much as our old religious ways counter the very wording., the mind is where the battle is and even though the Bible speaks on this renewal of the mind process all through scripture, many Christian people have a knee jerk reaction to anything that has to do with proper 'positive' thinking. But what is more positive than Jesus??
Knowing God is on our side because He PUT us on HIS side makes us true co laborers. We have a new nature and have to first KNOW we are not trying to BE new., we ARE new already. We didn't make ourselves new., He did. And He that has begun a good work in you will perform it till the day of Jesus Christ.
It is wrong perception of the Christian walk if we are thinking - God got us started...He put us on the right path and then sort of kicks us out of the 1st step of salvation 'nest' and then says.. ok, here is the path, here is the Bible., YOU now must bend your flesh to do what it says or I will not be pleased with you. YOU must change., you must bend your will with sheer moral fortitude and maintain what I have done for you.., you must find a way to do it since I already did the saving you must show your appreciation and do the maintaining. It is the least you can do... it is your "reasonable service".....
If we are doing that, we are saved by grace and live and are sanctified by works. A recipe for disaster and or a heart attack. Guilt.,shame.,remorse.....condemnation will be our constant companions...not Jesus. And yet, that is just what many believers actually believe about the Christian life. And why we live such defeated powerless and unhappy lives.
You have been rude and insulting to me. Its a bit phariseeical to point th es finger at others when you do the same things you accuse them of doing. Those two people I sent the book to thought I summed oauls message up well in 100 pages. Forgiv me, but i will go by them, not would be teachers on the internet

What boggles my mind is that you have a misperception of the word of God concerning Paul, because you are not listening to the Holy Spirit, and you argue to maintain it! That is a fault in you, and you will constantly go around and around this mulberry bush until you swallow your pride and allow Him to correct you and resolve your misperception.
I am praying for a breakthrough for you in that stronghold.

If God has gifted you to teach why are you on the internet? If you want oeople to learn from the wisdom you believe you have go out into the streets and preach, or ask your minister if you can preAch in church. Dont forget most feel as you do on these websites. They also believe they have much knowledge and are gifted to teach. Such people dont come on the internet to learn but preach
