This post made me think of the scripture where the woman was about to be stoned. And Jesus said let he who is without sin cast the first stone.
Somehow it seems aplicable here. Let he who has the perfect church cast the first stone.
Thankyou for this post aspen.
God bless, pickles
That's right, no church or congregation is perfect especially those that are making a spiritual impact in the world - they are usually wrought with problems. The devil and his elves wish to divide God's people.

but if there are some that do then aren't you guilty yourself of promoting half-truths
[begin rant]
Oh give it up, Keith. He made a point by asking people not to misrepresent their beliefs/doctrines. That's all it was and you just had to tear apart the syntax. You're a pastor! Why do you behave in such a manner like the other guy who claims to have been a pastor - banned - now he can't help anyone even if that was his good intention. It's also like how you responded to me when I asked people for help. Like how you responded to the poor kid who wrote a small essay on what he learned. The first thing you did in both instances was to jump at the possibility that we would teach false theology. The Bible was written for all people to understand. That was God's intention. It wasn't only for a special group like pastors and dare I say, pharisees. Sometimes, I really do wonder if gambling is truly your greatest weakness.

hey where are the moderators they said they were going to banned people for name calling, oopsies just did an oopsies she called me a pharisee LOL, actually that is way off oopsies a pharisee lived under the law and knew the law I am OSAS, strictly Grace. I just believe if we are going to preach, let's preach the truth and back that up with scriptures. it is also bible that if we see a brother/sister in sin to tell them about it if they turn from their sin then scriptures say that we have gained a brother/ sister. now I know that this should be done in private, however in here if they are preaching against scriptures then this needs to be addresses openly to all that could have heard that false teaching, so my Love For God , His truth/His word, His House, His ways which are righteous, Holy, Just, pure, and perfect, is gretaer than my love for people, this is Bible in my eyes for we are to put no one before God so the verse that I have to use in here the most is

Ga 4:16Am I therefore become your enemy, because I tell you the truth?
me and that young man had some privates talks and hopefully he knew why I did what i did, I would rather him and you get mad at me, then to have you continue not only preach a lie but live in that lie the rest of your life . Now if I was just giving my opinion and not giving any scriptures to back it up as many do in here, then you could justly call me a pharisee, but hopefully one day you will see That I have been a friend, if not that is you. But I will edify My God and His word , and House continuely over anything else or anyone else and would pray that one day many in here will see that this is true worship, if Not that is fine for I have learned one thing in this life , If we discover that Jesus is all we have, we soon learn that Jesus is all we need. so vent all you want , But I am still going to give you the truth.

a) I expressed my hurt, unhappiness, and disappointment that I had held in for quite some time. You explained away your actions instead of finding reconciliation as a way to uplift the church regardless of whether what you have done is right or wrong. This attitude is exactly why so many youth and young adults are driven away from church and refusing to return.

b) You're befuddled. He wrote something for his uncle which was not used (I'm sure his uncle would have enough spiritual insight on how to deal with the issue appropriately without your almighty and holy guidance) but asked for input on what he had written as a learning experience - first from a pastor, then from CC. I asked for input on an entirely different issue that didn't even involve preaching. Before you hold yourself to possessing correctional skills of high calibre, kindly revive the correct memory from the depths of your aging hippocampus. I think you've been a pastor far too long and have forgotten the crux of your calling which is not a correctional role - it is the same role that all of us have as outlined in the Great Commission.

Anyway, after having observed your pattern of behaviour for months, I'm pretty sure you're just going to make another giant post defending your actions. I'm not interested in reading that. Thanks. Bye.

now I do know that most pentecostals believe that speaking in tongues is the evidence of receiving the Holy Ghost through Baptism of the Holy Ghost and if you don't speak in tongues then you did not receive the baptism and thus you did not get saved, so I don't know about the rest of your thread but I know that some pentecostal do believe that the second baptism of the Holy Ghost is necessary for salvation. thus this part of your thread would also be promoting half-truth

you might want to check with some other pentecostals before you come in here and accuse someone of lying, I know a lady that went to a pentecostal youth rally when she was a teenager , and went up front to get saved , they took her and several other young people in a sunday room, gave them a phase to say told them to say it over and over as fast as they could when They would begin to get their tongues tied, someone would walk up to them and tap their head and ok you just got saved. she never did get her tongue tied , but continued to say the phrase cleary, finally they told her to stop, and told her that she didn't get saved. it almost ruined this young lady, just look at some web sights if you don't want to ask anyone.

The UPCI ( united pentecostal church international) embraces the view that speaking in tongues is the immediate, outward, observable, and audible evidence of the initial infilling of the Holy Ghost, and is the fulfillment of Jesus' commandment to be "born of the Spirit" in John 3:5. As defined by the church, speaking in tongues constitutes speaking in a language that one has never learned before,[14] and can be given to all regardless of race, culture, or language. UPCI beliefs on this subject are derived from Acts 2:4, 17, 38-39; 10:46; 19:6; and I Corinthians 12:13.

audible evidence of the initial infilling of the Holy Ghost, in other words, if you don't speak in tongues you didn't get the Holy Ghost if you didn't get the Holy Ghost , you were not borned of the spirit!!!!!! find out for your self. but really you ought to check things out before you fire off about someone lying.. maybe you could have asked your husband, as the Bible says

Probably because of your response above. He might've interpreted as you attacking him as a false preacher which leads to a questioning of his authority as a pastor and that is a sensitive topic for him. It can be any reason... *shrug*

The UPCI does not represent every Pentecostal on the planet. To say it does is ignorant. I was raised in the Assemblies of G-d Pentecostal church, and trust me, they don't believe any different than you do as to how a person is saved.

Although, they do have that annoying "sinner's prayer".

I have to agree with you on the banning part... the rules are quite broad and nebulous... rather subjective. How do I know how a moderator feels about a particular stance/topic/tone?
