I am not very good at responding in these forums. I forgot to address your ivory tower comment. I work about 60 hours a week, while taking a full load of classes (15 hours). I am working on my second degree to make my family's life better. I also coach a high school soccer team, and do not make much money for any of this. We are barely scratching by at this point.

I am not complaining. I love my life. I adopted my wife's four children that she had before the age of 18. Use your imagination to figure out what kind of background she came from. This has been a blessing for me, but I've never been accused of living in a "ivory tower". Can we put this to rest?

Back to the matter at hand, you said you can answer my questions, I await your response. Please use reliable information. If you wish to make a controversial claim, use resources to back them up.

America does indeed have the best health care....... For those who can afford it. Before my workplace dropped our insurance plan, I paid about $60 a month. Since they dropped our insurance plan, the cheapest I was able to find was more than double that. America's health care industry is a scam.

As Utah said, he was an EMT in the medical field for quite a number of years. IMO, that gives HIM tons more knowledge and experience in that area, than most of the rest of us. Including me, and there's 6 members of MY family, who are nurses and EMT's.. I am a former nurse's aide.. Lots of knowlege and experience in my family, I tell ya.. :)

Utah is FAR from being a troll.. He's not racist, and I'm fairly sure he probably has a good number of black friends.. If you didn't like his comment, well then, no one forced you to make a response of your own. Sometimes it's best just to keep quiet when you're reading responses..so you don't start squabbling back and forth like squirrels arguing over an acorn.. lol :)

Um, excuse me but I AM NOT a racist. Far from it. I have several black friends, and my nephew is black. So stop assuming you know people based on one or two of their posts.. For all you know, I could be black..lol.. kinda hard to be racist against yourself.. ;)

Thank you so very much. I am having a hard time controlling my laughing at the lack of common sense. I'm glad that you have black friends though.

Black people are similar to animals in that way. They are not quite equal to us superior white people, but it is not their fault. A slight difference in skin pigmentation allows us to believe that they can't use their brains on the same level as Hitler's perfect race. I know black people to. This makes me a good person.

Sorry dude, but white people are NOT superior to any other color of people. We are all equal in God's eyes.. I dunno what your problem is, but you need to grow up.. "Hitler's perfect race"? Seriously?!! Hitler was as racist as they come.. :/

Health care in America stinks !!!!

That is the only way to put it, and there is 3 countries I have heard of that have 100% government funded health care programs and they are rated the best in the world.

It keeps getting turned down here because politicians and private doctor's use scare tactic's on the public to keep it from being approved here.

The truth is private doctor's would no longer be able to charge higher cost for the same procedure as public hospital doctor's, and they give money to the politicians to lie saying you can no longer pick your own doctor's and you will be forced to go where they tell you to.

People wake up we have to do that now in the system we have, as not all hospitals do the same procedures.

I have a hospital 23 miles from my house, but if I was to have cancer or a stroke I would have to go over 100 miles away to a different hospital.

Then I have two parents who is and was living on social security, yet medicare charges them $107 dollars a month, and this does not even cover prescription costs. They had to get a secondary insurance which costs even more money a month just to have prescriptions covered.

That is just ridiculous !!!

Then you get people complaining at somebody who is at least trying to make a change in the system, and most of the complaints come from others who have absolutely no other solution in place.


Then you go to emergency rooms where there maybe only two or three other people waiting but yet still wait for 3 to 4 hours before even being seen.

this is why I dread to ever go to the emergency room because I know I'm going to be there for 3 to 4 hours minimum.....and why does it cost over $1,000 just to draw my blood and prescribe an antibiotic?
