Glad to see you rejoined this site under an assumed name, preached heresy that smacks Jesus in the face, and all the while acting the fool. By your fruit you are known, James.

You're an oxymoron -- a proud coward who can't admit he's wrong, can't fess up when called out on your heretical hyperbole nonsense, and yet more importantly, you're too proud and cowardly to give thanks to God for the free gift He has given. That's astonishing!

Have a good night, James, I mean, Coward.
john 8:24
Hes gone! He also does not agree that Jesus is God.

I asked you if people who raped and murdered while professing christians could attain heaven.
I will await you bringing posts oc mine to back up your accusations
Sometimes I have to look up information to find the Truth, for example: what did Our Lord say in the the book of Matthew chapter 5. Or what happened in Russia year 1504. These are random examples.

With regards to Utah, he claims to say he didn't say what he just said, the only thing stopping people from finding this out is clicking the back button.

The new covenant gives us right standing with GOD. That isn't taken away when we are unfaithful for it is written:
If we endure, we will also reign with [him]; if we deny [him], he also will deny us; if we are unfaithful, he remains faithful, because he cannot deny himself. 2 Timothy 2:12-13

The new covenant guarantees forgiveness of sin. If we sin, GOD is faithful to his covenant (and is just because of the cross) for it is written:
If we assent to our sins, he is faithful and just, so that he will forgive us [our] sins and will cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9

Therefore, let us make a habit of assenting to the accusations of our mind and conscience, for there is no condemnation in Christ, and the holy spirit will cleanse our mind and conscience and lead us into all truth.

Be in agreement with your adversary quickly, while you are in the way with him; lest at any time the adversary deliver you to the judge, and the judge deliver you to the officer, and you be cast into prison. Verily I say unto you, you shall by no means come out thence, until you hast paid the uttermost farthing. Matthew 5:25-26
I don't believe this makes your case 2 Timothy. Paul stating that God is always faithful isn't saying that He is faithful in keeping you saved, it just means you can trust God in what He says, He doesn't lie, He follows through, keeps His promises, etc. etc. This passage isn't meant to make the case that the unfaithful remain saved. God is being faithful by sending those to Hell who deny Christ too.

I will leave it there, or it will just be going round in circles. I have simply quoted the bible, not needed to do exegesis of it
God bless
I have simply quoted the Bible as well. Luke 8:14 from the NAS says word for word - BRING NO FRUIT TO MATURITY. The key word in that verse is FRUIT.

might want to get the quote correct - also Ghandi's words do not equate with every Christian - did he actually meet a true genuine Christian? He liked a caricature of Jesus Christ, if he liked the real one - he would have repented and believed on him

My sheep hear my voice and I know then and they follow me, and I give I unto them eternal life and they will never perish and none shall pluck them out of my hand. My Father who gave them to me is greater than all, and none IS ABLE to pluck them out of My Father's hand
This could be saying that nothing outside of yourself can take you out of God's hands. This is certain, as long as you are in Christ, this rings true.

I enjoy this video for a number of reasons.

In the case of Christians debating atheists. Using the Bible will not work to change their minds until they can establish if the Bible is True. Atheists can use arguments against Christians until the cows come home. Christians need to open the atheist mind using reason, logic, and faith. Then when we establish that we can trust the Bible, the atheist will open his mind.

.
Most atheists just want to be right, and they are already convinced of their will. Not using the Bible, when your trying to in the end show the Bible to be true - as all of what it claims --- how does that work? i don't think your referring to, just putting it away like we can't use it in a debate with an atheist, rather I hope not.

I definitely don't mean to use the bible in this way - the guy on the street corner with a sign, where his reasoning is "well at least they saw truth and know why their in hell now" I heard a video interview and that was the guys reasoning - that was incredibly aweful - hey I hope you go to hell informed now...

Logic, reasoning, faith - it's all found in the scriptures

Another one?

Why are people so insistent of putting their work above Gods work when it comes to salvation?

Jesus said, It (the plan of salvation) is finished (complete)

He did not say I did my part, now you do yours.
Unless you're a Jew ,right? Christ is gonna come a second time to saved them, right?

The plant was choked out, not the seed. The seed produced life.
So where is the FRUIT which is the evidence of spiritual life? There was motion, movement and growth toward becoming an established plant full of life which can bear fruit, but it was choked out before reaching it's desired goal as the 4th soil did reach it's goal. Just like the seed that fell on the stony soil, where it did not have much earth; and immediately it sprang up because it had no depth of earth (it sprang up but no crop sprang up) and and because it had NO ROOT it withered away.

So regardless, it was choked out and therefore does not produce a renewed spiritual life in the person; "the anxieties of the age and the pleasures of wealth chokes it out. Such a person does not bear the fruit of salvation; "he becomes unfruitful. NO ROOT, NO FRUIT = NO SALVATION.

Sorry, there was something of yours i failed to address. We must accept the seed that fell on thorny ground was not of people who never followed the correct path but kept getting distracted from it, as people do today. If they never followed the correct path at all Jesus would not have said they did not mature but rather they walked away or were not saved. My apologies for missing this. Though I still see no point in further debate, we have given our views fully
God bless
*Bottom line - SHOW ME THE FRUIT. FAITH WITHOUT WORKS IS DEAD. NO ROOT, NO FRUIT = NO SALVATION.

Titus 2:

11 For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men,12 teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age, 13 looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ,

What does Grace teach us again?

What is it called when we look for a verse to prove a point that is based on what scripture says (as a whole)?
Probably answer this with a question

What does Scripture teach as a whole?

-for this topic
Is Man Sovereign or God?
Is God able to save to the uttermost?
Does Man merit favor from God?
Has God known the beginning to the end... and acted anyway?

or rather not getting off track
What Does Scripture say as a whole?

Psalm 37:28 - For the Lord loves justice, And does not forsake His saints; They are preserved forever, But the descendants of the wicked shall be cut off.

Romans 8:30 - Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified. ALL OF THEM.

Ephesians 1:13 - In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, 14 who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory. Sealed unto the day of redemption (Ephesians 4:30).

My comment was tongue-in-cheek. I thought maybe I'd get a response like, EisExegesis

So,,,none..means someone now?..Jesus must think that "none",...actually means other people can?

There is a basket with no apples in it...Jesus says...there are no apples in that basket...what He really means is that there is an apple if you want there to be one?

...it doesn't hold water with me..this "none" does not include "us"....but each to their own.

I believe in once saved always saved!!! Clearly taught in the bible

Its once prayed always saved I have a problem with!!!!

Can you lose your salvation???
This suggests two contradictory statements.

1) That salvation is yours.. (Can you...lose YOUR)
2) and that salvation is conditional based upon YOUR choice for him or against him. Which then puts YOU at the very centre of saving yourself!!! hence following maintaining yourself also.

Salavation is of the lord, so when God saves since God does the saving, the question is reversed to a God centred view and understanding.
Can God lose your salvation? rather than Can I lose my salvation?
to answer this question is simply by answering this question:
Who does the saving???
Whoever does the saving is the very same being that does the maintaining.
Clearly God does the saving so therefore God is the one who finishes that which has been started.
and once your saved, God will never lose you and their no longer remains condemnation for those that are his.
Remember we didn't choose him, he chose us.

However don't think a person is saved because they professed faith because it is possessing faith that determines if one is saved not professing faith. Many professing faith Christians few possessing faith Christians.
Hence once prayed always saved is the statement we should be attacking not once saved always saved.

The gnostics walked according to the same spirit that you're walking. They thought that nothing they did could corrupt them.

False accusation? You just said in so many words (and have said repeatedly) that a person's works are irrelevant to salvation. That is exactly what the gnostics believed.

Now are you accusing me of misrepresenting your position, or what the gnostics believed?
