Cheap Grace Or Free Grace?

And there is also the element of mercy that comes with that grace.! I know in my life mercy was shown multiple times in my stupidity. if I would have reaped what I had sown...there would be a lot different outcomes.

It remains a mystery to me why sometimes God intervenes and other times He doesn't...or maybe it "appears" He doesn't....we will find out things like this when we are with Him physically...

...either way..the best policy is to follow the Holy Spirit inside us as we walk this life out...grow in the grace and knowledge of Jesus our Lord!

We do reap what we sow, but there is also the principle of grace attached to that.

Mercy is Grace in action. If Grace wasn't attached to reap what we sow....................I would of been dead long ago.
 
How does a person reap or sow Eternal Life?

We have definitely reaped what we haven't sown.

Reaping and Sowing is a principle of those under the law, I think. Bless, and be blessed. Curse, and be cursed.

If we have faith in Christ, our High Priest, we basically don't sow anything except hope, and we reap everything, all the blessings in Christ.

Can the Lord Jesus Christ cancel your curse? The curse that you deserve? If yes, then you didn't reap what you have sown. You got something better than what you could have ever sown.

Every time we sin we deserve eternal damnation. And just think......anxiety or worry is a sin.

Well it is found in one of the most gracious Epistles...

Galatians 6:7-8 KJVS
[7] Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. [8] For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.

How does a carnal person sow to the spirit?

The context is eternal/everlasting rewards vs wood, hay, stubble.

Gal 6:4~~New American Standard Bible
But each one must examine his own work, and then he will have reason for boasting in regard to himself alone, and not in regard to another.

We can operate from the Spirit and harvest everlasting rewards or we can operate from the flesh and harvest wood ,hay and stubble.

They can't because a carnal person does not understand the ways of God !!!

A carnal person looks at things from man's or a worldly perspective, and God's word can not be read, taken, or studied in such a way or the wrong understanding will be what is put forth.

This is why we have so many interpretations or doctrines, because people put men and men's traditions before the Holy Spirit's guidance.

I know the whole argument, "God appoints teachers."

Yes He does but it is our job to test these teachers to see if they are sent from God or not, if by His word and the Holy Spirit it doesn't align then they are not His. So if they go around telling you actions or deeds don't matter then they are not preaching properly !!!

1 Corinthians 3:12-15 is being misapplied here for the hay, wood, and stubble is not referring to operating in the flesh, it is talking about the degree of obedience we have in the faith.

Verses 17-20 is about operating in the flesh.............

Notice how verse 12 has the hay, wood, and straw mentioned in regards to building on the foundation of the faith, which means these are works of the faith not works of the flesh.

Do you think that just being a standard believing member of the congregation that doesn't do much will receive the same rewards as a minister or an evangelist ??? No !!!

Well yes, I never linked this with salvation or it's loss.

It applies to the Christian and his walk.

We can not separate the walk from the faith itself though, as Jesus, Paul, James, and John all clearly showed this.

How we walk is proof of the Holy Spirit abiding in us, as He was sent to be our helper to walk the proper path in the faith. His fruit will become more and more evident in our daily lives as we grow and mature in the faith, no growth and maturity shows no working of the Holy Spirit.

No Holy Spirit = No salvation in Christ

It all works hand and hand for God's perfect will to be done !!!

Also 1 Corinthians 3:12-15 is not about works of the flesh, it is about faithful servitude !!!

You tell me Ken. A woman that raises 4 kids in a trailer, teaches them doctrine because her husband is not a believer, respects her husband even when he doesn't deserve it because she is occupied with Christ and has led all 4 kids believing in Christ.

Will she have fewer rewards than a minister?
 
Jesus is perfect theology!

If we watch our Lord in dealing with people we can see that He is grace personified. Let's take a quick look at just one subject..people coming to Jesus for healing.

Did Jesus ever say.." Nope..can't heal you today because you have a secret sin in your life.."

Jesus did not say...." I definitely can't heal you because you have not eaten right..( the funny thing here is that they were all on the Mediterranean diet too) "

Jesus did not say "...you I cannot heal because you have a generational curse that goes way back....go back and confess the sins of your fathers....then come back to Me for healing.."

Jesus did not say ..."..No healing for you today...you are not following all the commandments of Moses...stop that sinning first.....then come to Me.."

Jesus did not say.." you will definitely not get healed because you are dappling in the occult...you are demon possessed.....how do you think you got all those devils inside of you?....renounce your activities first..."

Coming to Jesus in faith causes His life to be imparted to us!...whatever we have reaped..Jesus is greater then it!

[SUP]24 [/SUP] The news about Him spread throughout all Syria; and they brought to Him "all " who were ill, those suffering with various diseases and pains, demoniacs, epileptics, paralytics; and He healed them.


Jesus is grace in action and He is perfect theology!

I will again refer you to VERSE 12, as it says "builds on the foundation."

We can not build on the foundation of Christ with works of the flesh, only things done of the faith can build on that foundation. Works of the flesh are enmity to God and His ways and thus has no bearing placed here. This can only be referred to as faithful servitude.

If you just stay a standard believer in the congregation that does not much else, then no rewards will be given thus what you did in the faith will be burned up but you will still be saved.

If you however live your life in the ministry or doing evangelism you will be given rewards for that extra servitude.

For one who does more in the faith for Christ will be rewarded for such, those who do little in the faith what they receive if anything will also be evident.

The rewards are given based on faithfulness in our servitude to Him !!!

Yes she will if she does not take on the role of a minister herself, if those 4 kids of hers are the only one's she shares and teaches the doctrine to then she will not receive the same rewards as one who has shared the gospel and taught the gospel to multitudes of people.

The minister's servitude will still be more then hers, as she did her role as a parent is suppose to do but that is as far as her servitude to Christ went !!!



The bible speaks clearly on different rewards being given depending on the servitude, and it also does just the opposite in showing different lengths of punishment for the disobedient and unbelievers.

Our God is a just God.........Do you think it is justice if the same rewards or same punishments are given to everybody on both sides ???

Do you think a liar deserves to be punished and burned in the lake of fire for the same amount of time as a murderer ???

Do you think a person who has done nothing but believe in Christ deserves the same rewards as one who has spent their whole life everyday doing things for God because of that love ???

Now don't get me wrong when speaking on this, because just because this is shown in God's word what we do should never be done with the aspect of what do I get in return. If that is the driving aspect behind why a person is doing what they do then they have the wrong motive !!!
