Interracial dating. I find it exciting. I dated a guy from the west coast. Exchanging facts about culture was fun, there was just so many things to share and learn from each other. The many differences can be a good thing, if both are open. It's hard though if you're coming from the East, like I am lol. Families can get in the way. :)

No matter who we are, where we came from as long as it is God's will to have relationship with different cultures, there's no worries about that. As long as Jesus is the center of it.

People forget where we come from.

Every person reading this can trace their bloodline back to Noah! We're a bunch of Noah's kids! (No wonder we're so good at engineering and boat building, eh?)

You could go back even further to Adam and Eve... Yup! The stereotype of the south has it right! Lots of kissing cousins, brothers, sisters and half-brothers and sisters.... then quarter, eighths, sixteenths... and eventually you get to all of us!

Man, Humans are awesome!

I'm not sure your HQ would permit you to date interracially. The bigger question here is, are satellites capable of expressing and feeling emotions? :p

I'm black, Haitian. But I find myself attracted to mostly men of other races
I love my race and black men but for some reason. I find myself dating guys other than black men. Why? I don't know and I don't care. I was just curious. Maybe it's because I'm always interested in others' cultures?! Let me know what your thoughts and experiences are...shoot!!
I'm white and prefer women of Latin or Asian descent. I don't think being interested in other ethnicities matters. I say go for what makes you happy. If God does something different, then so be it.

Dating like a more or less arranged marriage to a confirmed Christian with no premarital sex? Or just dating some random guys?

She's long gone, cv5. That post was from 8 years ago. "cv5"? Are you a Civilization 5 game fan?

You're right it doesn't matter. I'm getting married to a Vietnamese person soon. I'm really excited! Though I am a bit cautious around this forum because I made a thread about it once and came under attack. One person even started hurling racist comments at her. Very hurtful and hateful.

The disease of sin is in all of us. It will be vomited out of the human experience eventually.

Sorry. That was... rude. I just get so irritated when people misunderstand "do not curse" to mean "do not say words our culture has agreed on to have a negative connotation." Cursing = black magic. Cursing =/= using potent words to express yourself.
Either way it is lazy. I can express myself much better, and if necessary put somebody down much more effectively, if I put a little thought into what I want to say instead of just slamming out some cuss words.

I think it's fine. I'm a white guy, but I find black women the most attractive. I'm an artist, so I am sensitive to color, and like, something about very dark skin tones is just so damn beautiful to me.
Christian chat, dude. Careful with the profanity.
@FarOutFighter - He was just trying to make a friendly joke.

Lets be fair, wouldn't you agree, if a stranger posts a reply to you on "ChristianChat", the likelihood that they are insulting or threatening you is extraordinarily small?

You know, text-communication like this, where you can't see a face or hear the tone of voice makes it very difficult to figure out what someone means, especially intension, and humor. May I say, if you come across something you feel is an attack, it's beneficial to step away and come back later to see if it strikes you the say way. If you had done that with that post I think there's a good chance you would have realized it wasn't an attack.

The bible tries to help us by pointing out:

Psalms 37:8 "Refrain from anger and turn from wrath; do not fret—it leads only to evil."

Proverbs 15:18 "A hot-tempered person stirs up conflict, but the one who is patient calms a quarrel."

James 1:19-20 "My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry, because human anger does not produce the righteousness that God desires."

May I say to you with good intention, much like being in-person in a new place and a stranger says something to you that you're not sure it was with good intention, it's wise to give someone the benefit of the doubt, laugh it off. Proverbs 19:11 says "A person’s wisdom yields patience; it is to one’s glory to overlook an offense." If there's real malicious intention you can address it if it ever comes up in the future.

Jesus, scripture and our church family yield great benefits regarding our perceptions, self-control, patience and restraining anger when it's beneficial.

We all have a “type” we’re attracted to. To me, skin color is a feature - just like eye color and hair color. If a blue eyed man can date a green eyed woman, why can’t a dark skin man date a light skin woman (or vice-versa)? Just my 2¢ injection.

I'ts very much alright to not be attracted to any specific race. There's nothing wrong with that. I would guess that every person on earth can pick at least 1 race he or she is not compatible with. God has given all of us the same desires for companionship, marriage, love, emotions & all else. A white guy may prefer to date only white girls that are blonde. Nothing wrong with that either.

This is not really a Christian view...judging people by looks and race. The question is, why are you not attracted to that race? If you think another race is ugly, that goes against Christian view that everyone is beautiful. I have read that people are drawn towards people who look like them/their family, but I don't really think this is a strong pull. I can see why people might be drawn towards their own culture, but that is not related to race. I can see someone from strong Italian background or Latin background want to marry someone from their own culture, even though personally I do not find these reasons strong enough. Most guys of all races want to date blonds.
