On friends. ...

Honestly I have no best friends in my area
But I have a few best friends that care for me dear
But they are far away
So I can't give them a physical huggy lol
But let me say this I know!

Between Jesus loving me
And friends prayers for me

Oh boy!
You wanna talk about satan being bothered
Lol
Ask someone to pray for you!
Jesus IS with you and loves you!
So even though my closest friends

Since I've been here, I have prayed for friends, family, strangers and even enemies. In public posts and in private msgs, as well as in church and on my own. I've asked for nothing in return, but for Jesus to be given thanks and praise.
Lately I've been going through a very troubling time in my life.
It's overwhelming, the number of prayers I have NOT been
even OFFERED, let alone actually been given
on this 'christian' forums site.
I can count on one hand those who've
given a word of prayer or encouragement,
either for my missing friend or me,
and I am so grateful for you all who have.
Yet, the things said that have actually
made me feel worse outnumber the
words of kindness. Very sad.
The world is in shambles,
the church is struggling,
we all need revival.
And prayer.
And love.

Two are better than one; because they
have a good reward for their labor.
For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow:
but woe to him that is alone when he falls;
for he has not another to help him up.

When a person suffers an illness they sometimes say GOD allowed me to get sick so that through their illness the name of GOD will be glorified, but IMO GOD does not want anyone to be sick, and furthermore why would a person go to see a doctor If they thought that GOD wanted them to have an illness.

If they really thought GOD wanted them sick and they were to go see a doctor, wouldn't they be going against the will of GOD?

Acts 10:36-38
King James Version(KJV)

36.)The word which God sent unto the children of Israel, preaching peace by Jesus Christ: (he is Lord of all:)

37.)That word, I say, ye know, which was published throughout all Judaea, and began from Galilee, after the baptism which John preached;

38.)How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.

Oh boy, here we go with the "illness is caused by demons" thing again.. Also, if we were all miraculously healed a million times over every time we get sick, there would be no death and we would be immortal.

See the way I've looked at it...when one becomes a Christian they no longer live for themselves but live for Christ, and as Christians we should spread the truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ...with that being said our lives here are temporary Paul says in Philippians "I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus". So Paul's interpretation our ultimate goal is heaven.

Now with all those things in mind, if you were to get sick, and through that sickness you were able to grow closer to God or show Christ to others and have them come to know him what then? If we are living for Christ and not ourselves then we should be prepared / ready for any situation as it may be God wanting to reach people through us...whether it be a favorable or unfavorable situation.

I speak of this from experience. When my mother was diagnosed with cancer almost 10 years ago, I was devastated and angry with God (I'll admit it!). However after going through the chemo with her and supporting her through it all I remember one day I spoke to her about the ordeal and in tears I told her how unfair it was how she didn't do anything to deserve it...how God wasn't being fair...I remember her smiling and telling me that she was so blessed to have gotten sick because she was able to reach out and have her Oncologist, and other cancer patients come to know Christ and accept him as their savior through her testimony and presence there, and that she felt honored God chose to use her and through her hardship she was able to glorify him...after that day I began to look at "life's inconveniences" with a sense of the bigger picture. If we are Christians we are living through Christ, By Christ and for Christ. No where in the bible does it say to not seek out treatment for anything, it does say however to rejoice in any and all situations!

I hope my rambling has helped answer some of your question Brother!

In Christ

I don't believe that God wants anyone to have an illness, but for reasons perhaps known only to Him, will allow it.

I'm reminded of the blind man who was born blind and neither him nor his parents had sinned to cause his blindness, but it was for God's purpose. Sometimes we tend to look at other Christians to see if we are walking correctly with God, when all we are to do is look at his covenant for us. This reply isn't an argument or anything like that.

Hmm today, my co-worker, who's a homosexual female asked me on a date. We both go to the same church. I know. It's crazy. Without thinking about it, I blurted out I was in a relationship with myself, as a joke. But it felt awkward after. Hmmm.
hey don't feel bad if you open doors for yourself and buy yourself dinner that's a relationship. In fact that is a very caring relationship.

Thus you nullify the word of God by your tradition that you have handed down. And you do many things like that.”
(*Mark‬ *7‬:*13‬ NIV)

how much of christian belief and dogma is misinterpreted, mistranslated, false perception and tradition passed down from generation to generation resulting in twisted truth, half truth no truth at all? What if we trusted God enough to ask him to undo our religious mindsets that 'the church' has conditioned and brainwashed us to have (with all good intentions). If we trust him enough to let him pry out monkey grip fingers off of our precious doctrines and traditions, we may just see we are light years from understanding him and his heart and grace. Religion says don't question God. My response is this, question Everything, especially God. What Father doesn't want his child to ask him questions.

If christians are truly free and love and trust God so much.... If they really believe what they say, Why do they spend such vast amounts of time and energy focussing on satan and what he's doing and fearing him.? Why are they in constant need of prayer and counselling and deliverance ministry? It seems they live in more bondage than the 'unsaved'!
