According to the poll taken, your kind of "grace" thinking is in the minority by leaps and bounds.
That shouldn't cause you to rejoice. That should sadden you.

A self-proclaimed elder calling the grace of God "garbage." I will make sure to learn sound doctrine from you.![]()

Of course the "poll" is simply asking if we do not have to confess daily in order to be forgiven of sins or do we need to confess constantly..or "other"
If you add the "we do not have to confess in order to be forgiven ( after coming to Christ )" and the "other"...the both are a clear winner.
In all fairness though..that 1 John 1:9 was a hard one for me to get around "mentally" because of my religious upbringing and traditions.
I asked the Lord about it and then after a series of different teachings from different sources...the Lord brought it together for me....the revelation of it came so clear that now I wonder how in the world I could never see that before. Religious traditions are very hard to overcome because they are engrained in our minds.
But revelation of anything in the scriptures come by this same route. I ask myself these questions..Does it make Jesus bigger?..does it make Jesus' sacrifice for us that much more wonderful and does it exalt His finished work?
If I can answer these questions in the "yes" category then it's good for me! Jesus has in all things the preeminence!
Where did you get that from? Have I said that on the forums?
When God chastens you, what is your natural reaction?
The Bible is one way we are taught. Its lined up for us and we also have the indwelling spirit whom refers back to the word. God reminds you of the wrongdoing when you rebel. What is your response to rebelling against God? Do you feel any remorse for what you did wrong?
"When" God chastens us? LOL. As if its a one at a time deal? We sin, God chastens us. We sin, God chastens us? Is that about it?
What you are calling chastening is in actuality discipline. What do you think discipline is? I'll answer it for you, it's training. And we are all in training, and we are all in training all the time.
I'm not biting anymore. Take your hook, line and sinker somewhere else. You've said it verbally and privately, thinking you hold some place over me. You don't, so can you kindly let bygones be bygones? You have no right to speak into my life, or teach me as if you are my elder. *Opens the door* Thank you.

I have used the discipline word on this thread. Did you look? Or did you just spring and react? SMH....
Having said that, my point wasnt even what you are expounding on. But thank you for your response
I have never said I want to hold anything over you. That is a LIE. You have imagined that. I never said I wanted to "speak into your life" either. You need to learn that you dont talk to older people that are old enough to be your mom like you do your homeboys. That is what is wrong with your generation. You have lost that respect my generation and those before me clearly adhered to. We didnt talk to our elders disrespectfully.

Smoke screens and insults. Is that all ya got?
The same God who says He remembers your sins no more. The God who is Love, and love keeps no record of wrongs? That God is reminding you of your wrongdoing? Really?
Why do you think I responded the way I did? You take this tone of haughtiness and mockery. Do you see that about yourself? You did it on my thread yesterday as well. Do not ever assume anything about a persons knowledge but ask them and give them an opportunity to explain what they are saying. What you did with me here is call the kettle black. I am not here to play your games. I am here to provide scripture disputing this false greasy grace the thread is upholdingSmoke screens and insults. Is that all ya got?
Really!
Hebrews 12:6
For the Lord disciplines the one He loves, and He chastises everyone He receives as a son."
Psalm 94:12
Blessed is the one you discipline, LORD, the one you teach from your law;
Proverbs 3:11
My son, do not despise the LORD's discipline, and do not resent his rebuke,
Revelation 3:19
Those whom I love I rebuke and discipline. So be earnest and repent.
In fact, This church in Philadelphia is unique among the seven churches because it is the only church the Lord registers no complaint against. This is the church that delights Christ! But yet Christ has still said to them >>BE EARNEST AND REPENT
Care to comment on the last scripture and its explanation?Every single one of those verses brought me joy. Thanks for sharing. Genuinely mean that. God cares for our well-being.

Maybe some just are not going to accept the bible saying there Is now no more condemnation to them that are In CHRIST JESUS.
