Stop what you are doing now and type, "A long time ago in a galaxy far far away" into Google.

^posted by my friend on FB, but it works!

If you got a problem with that, please contact Customer Care.
At my work, we have a scapegoat for marketers. Whenever they call, we just say "Oh, you'll need to talk to Mr. X. He's not in today, though. Try back in blahblahblahthankyougoodbye."

What you just did is totally what we do at work (there is no "Mr. X," by the way). Lol.

ZEROTURBULANCE,
Thank you for that informative video on
how LED lighting works.

Now if I can only figure out which way
the light is traveling through the holes .....

.....in my head.
You're welcome, Syd. You know of all the things that I can understand, the one thing that still stumps me even though I've watched videos explaining it is an automatic transmission.

You know, I'm pretty eclectic in my music tastes, and I've got to say... some J-Pop and J-Rock is just actually really pretty good. I've been thoroughly enjoying this Pandora station.

I had a weird dream about a small twister that entered my house and then left again. I googled the dream meaning of tornado and it means emotional upheaval. Makes sense,i've been confused for quite a while.

I really wish I knew how to be as calm and carefree as I was when I was young. Now I get angry a lot when I'm out in public and it seems like people in general are very insensitive and inconsiderate these days...

Just awhile ago I was checking out at the grocery where you havee to bag your own stuff and the couple in front of me had a ton of stuff to bag (nothing wrong with that) but instead of moving their cart to the end, they kept it in the lane while they bagged so I couldn't get through to bag the few items I had purchased. The lady apologized and moved out of the way but the guy just kept bagging. I tried to push my cart past theirs but I needed another 1/2inch so I tried to gently push their cart a little to the side and the guy saw what I was doing and gave me an angry look(?!) Then he finally moved his darn cart and I was able to get through.

Is it just me or are there just really a lot more jerks out there? Needless to say, it ruffled my feathers a bit, but I never said a word..

I think our selfishness is just a lot more pronounced these days.

What is that supposed to mean? Are you saying I was being selfish? I'm not going to sit there like an idiot waiting for this guy to get done putting a hundred things in his cart. There was also a line of people behind me and I needed to get my own stuff out of the way so the next person's stuff doesn't get mixed with mine in the bagging area. He wasn't supposed to bag his stuff with his cart still in the lane. He was supposed to move his cart to the end so other customers can get thorugh.

No, I was commenting on the situation you ran into. You posted that "people in general are very insensitive and inconsiderate these days". The people at the store (guy especially) seemed really to reflect that statement. That's true, but not from a standpoint of them going out of their way to be rude to you... In fact, I don't think they considered you or anyone else at all... People are not generally taught to consider others in our society. It's "all about you", and the reality of that belief has manifested itself to the point where *insert my statement*

"I think our selfishness is just a lot more pronounced these days."

Before now, there were certain social molds and concepts people deliberately or in-deliberately adhered or were forced into. Some examples of these molds would be Chivalry, Civility, or even the Judaeo-Christian Puritanism which permeated North American culture in different ways for several eras.

That, however, seems to be less the case today. No one is 'forcing' you to be anything, and likewise, the push-back from being 'forced' into something is much greater. Today is focused more on what I'll call active passivity. "Just leave me alone to do what I want." is the sort of hedonistic thought behind this.
