So you believe that we must receive daily forgiveness for already forgiven sin?

Um, you're going to have to provide contextual Scripture to show us that.

Where does Scripture say that you're forgiven and unforgiven at the same time???

-JGIG
We have been forgiven 'objectively'...I picture this as a diamond in the rough when we come to Christ.
Then we receive daily washings of forgiveness as God polishes us as the diamond.
It's both, and in Scripture 'both' often makes little sense to the natural mind, just as many have trouble with Jesus being both 100% God and 100% man.

you know ken everytime someone disagrees with you, you call them a liar. just an observation. do you think you are all-knowing and all wise?? just a question.
You have to understand him, and extend some grace. He tends to react to the most recent post, rather than keep the past ten, or so, posts in his head to comprehend a developing theme and progression of thought. (This is the same way so many people seize upon one verse of the Bible upon which to build a doctrine.)

Oh..yes..I did see that...the flesh in action for sure!!!..hopefully they all get restored...it's sad to watch that kind of thing...but that is what malice and slander breed..

I guess you missed all the excitement yesterday. And besides, I know what they meant.

He is the one that said I made Christ guilty of sin, so yes that is a lie, not a disagreement !!!

I know where said being tempted makes one guilty of sin, maybe you should ask them why they made such a false claim on me instead of questioning me ???

Good one....so that scripture says to "let them alone" but instead you are now judging who is blind?...you know better crossnote..I know you do..be who you are!
If you read my post carefully, I said, "Perhaps I should obey my Lord in this" So you are right, I will, and not speak to you of this matter any longer. I will still warn others.

Do you like to cause strife Willie-T ???

Let things go and move on, especially since you were the one who tossed out the false allegation on me !!!

What you did before, doesn't even enter your mind now - it's unthinkable, right?

Holy Spirit doesn't put that thought of sin in your mind and then tell you 'NO!'

Holy Spirit reminds you of who/Whose you are and you act accordingly - it's your New Creation Nature in action =o).

-JGIG
So it is satan, now that convicts me and not the Holy Spirit?

Funny, even you can't use the word
'convict' but use the word 'remind' instead.

No, it's called showing that you cannot reconcile what you believe with the truthful testimony of scripture itself.
You're method is fallacious. You are arguing from the premise that your conclusion is true based on your misunderstanding of certain verses, and then challenging me to disprove it. This is merely a distraction to avoid refuting my argument, while pretending that you have.

Yes and here is another scripture that gets overlooked:

Acts 3:19
Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;

Times of refreshing is speaking on the forgiveness of future sins when they occur and thus confessed !!!

Yes! A point many of us miss is that those very verses we like to quote about this tell us, plainly, that THE WORLD is convicted by the Holy Spirit, but BELIEVERS are brought to remembrance of (reminded of) who and whose we are.

I don't return the $5 now because I am guilty and ashamed. Not at all... because I don't even consider keeping it. I return it because I am aware of my IDENTITY, whose son I am, and our family (the family of God) doesn't do those things.
So all glory to you for remembering who you are in Christ.
Of course the Holy Spirit reminds us who we are in Christ, but God's law written on my heart (my new nature) also convicts me of the wrong done and I confess it.

(I'm beginning to feel like a repeated Public Service Announcement.)

Go read the post again, Ken. I said that if one did that, they WOULD then be making Jesus out to be a sinner because the Bible clearly said HE WAS TEMPTED.

BTW...... being "TEMPTED" inherently implies that you COULD be susceptible to the offer being made. If I offered to give someone three wagons full of dead, rotten pigs, there couldn't possible be any "tempting" going on. Where as, if I offered the same wagons full of hundred dollar bills..............

So, Jesus had to have been open and susceptible to the offers He came across, or they could not be called true "temptations."

Here is a 3 minute video of the Holy Spirit "convicting".."convincing"..etc...the word in greek is only translated once as "convict" in King Jimmie version.

You see this is where, in essence, you would be calling Jesus a sinner. Why? Because He was "tempted in every way as we are." Being tempted is not a sin. Yes, of course, all of us have some things that tug at us stronger than other things. But that does not make us filthy, degenerate, or even "wrong." It just means that God's word is true... that we will be tempted.
He was tested from God's standpoint, tempted from satan's.
