I have refrained from saying it for fear that I will name a particular denomination and get somebody all WARGARBBLLLL about it, but:
I've tried the Evangelical Free church (the very first e-free church in N. America) and found the sermons to be rehashing of current events, very little Biblical teaching, and the pastor to be overly friendly to the point of being phony
I've tried the Baptist church, and found it to be a "let's get people in the pews even if we have to water down the message to do it".
I've tried the Lutheran church and found a lot of the same as the Baptist church, but the pastor was, I think, drunk before taking the pulpit. No kidding.
I've tried attending Catholic Mass since my Dad's side of the family is Irish Catholic, and I simply don't agree with their beliefs. I think they deify Mary and the saints and thereby violate the 10 commandments. I don't agree with communion or sacrament, and I don't believe I need a priest to serve as intermediary between me and God.
Now, throw your tomatoes, folks.
