Man what happened in this bible discussion forum?
I never heard of 'hyper grace' until the last few months coming to post in this forum. I am thinking the OSAS or not threads have been translated to 'hyper grace'.
Many would probably put me in the 'hyper grace' camp.. but what does that mean? That I believe Jesus' payment for my sin is all sufficient? What is 'hyper' about that?
I don get it!

"Hyper-grace" is a modern construct with it's roots in WoF, charismatica, and the prosperity gospel. It's ecumenical in nature on an extreme level and denies fundamental teachings of scripture for the sake of grace. It denies right judgment, exposing error, and denies the sin nature of man in favor of grace. The doctrine excuses repentance and makes it something other than what the bible defines it as, and most of the proponents of "hyper-grace" theology will preach "don't worry about those sins, put your faith in grace" and deny conscience or correction from the Holy Spirit. The true Gospel is never preached by them, but instead, promises of health, wealth, power, and sin is excused entirely. The Gospel is mentioned and danced around in their sermons, but never fully addressed or explained. It becomes a reference point with no explanation of what it is.
To them, pointing out error, even blatant heresy and blasphemy, is a hateful "religious spirit" and should not be tolerated. Rather, excuse that person because they are under grace and treat them "nicely". They deny the existence of false prophets/teachers because of the extreme ecumenicalism they promote. Self-examination is out of the question. Testing of spirits is out of the question. Rightly dividing the word of truth is out of the question. Any type of right judgment is out of the question. Many of them preach extreme universalism (the idea that all of mankind is saved since the cross). The roots of the hyper-grace movement are traceable to WoF heresy and before that to metaphysical occultism that infiltrated the church in the late 1800s. It's a modern construct with traceable roots that undermines and maligns the Gospel of Christ and grace is distorted beyond biblical recognition.
