someone walked into the office at 11:50 AM asking for an appointment at that moment.

i told her the doctor was busy. i said we had spots available for the afternoon.

"i'm leaving out of town right now."

and then, i see the disappointed look on patient's face.

why do people do this? why wait until the last minute? whyyyyyyyyyyyy?
 
I guess this is where I will vent about work happenings because I am being forced to participate in this unstable hamster wheel called life and no one listens to sound wisdom.

Went into work at 3:30 this morning and arrived at 3:45...Scheduled to work at 4 am.

Turns out the BUILDING WAS LOCKED.
Wondering if this is illegal?

Notified my manager, and she told me to just call the store when this happens.
So on top of the 2 hours last week, where I was scheduled to work (as there was NO ONE in to train me),
and the 8 hours missing today due to.... it all... I have -10 hours missing from my hours worked.

If this continues to happen, then there is definitely a problem.
I already dislike my supervisor because he is a liar and won't train me on information that I need to know for my job description...
At this point I could submit a five page essay on the instability of the management system at this place.

There is more, and on top of it all I'm pretty sure someone was smoking weed in the backroom yesterday.
I'm ............. LIVID.

Is this part of a larger company? is so, go above the managers head to a central office and report the problems

They are stupid, that's why. Why else would somebody wait until departure time before showing up at your office just to let you know that they are leaving town??? Lol
 
I went to the store and some guy started throwing cheese, milk, and ice cream at me and I thought to myself how dairy.

On top of what WK said... i"d like to add that in all honestly, if that happened to me I'd start looking for work elsewhere, but that's just me ( I mean if you haven't already started). And I'm sorry that stuff happened to you Blue. I know you certainly don't deserve it.

It could be because of the type of service her office provides is the sort of thing people might need in a pinch (pun intended!), and it may be something that began to bother them shortly before they were to leave town.. (or yea..maybe they were just stupid). Just playing devil's advocate here...

I got up early and got almost nothing done today. Hmmph.

I should be sleeping... Busy long day tomorrow... But I just can't sleep.. Sigh... :rolleyes:
 
You know, it's kind of funny or strange how quickly and drastically your thoughts and feelings can change...

Sometimes, your whole attitude and mindset depends on it, and can be completely altered from one moment to the next.

I suppose a lot of it has to do with focus... what you focus on... and the experiences you go through or situation you find yourself in at whatever moment.

It's just kind of crazy... I've already been like 4 or 5 different people tonight in that regard.
 
Sometimes it depends on blood sugar. I know of a doctor who claimed if you tell him what you ate today he can tell you what kind of mood you're in.

For myself, if I eat a lot of donuts in the morning I'm cranky in the afternoon. Never fails. Not sure why.
 
Here's a clip of me covering the song "Night Changes". Now that I've learned how to use audacity to make my recordings sound more studio-like I'll be singing like a nightbird! :p "Just like a wild winged dove..." ...hmmm nightbird could be a good screenname...
