Here's a Christian comedian I found who is amazing. He can keep a totally straight face while saying the most ridiculous and outrageous things about GOD's grace.
Here's some samples:
- In order to experience lasting joy, peace and happiness and bear lasting fruit it is critical to understand that you are not supposed to serve God but...that you should let God serve you!
- At the root of many dead religious works lies the idea that the Christian life revolves around what we do for Christ, that we are called to serve God. Nothing could be further from the truth.
- God is not expecting you to do something for Him! He isn't asking you to serve Him. Rather, He's convincing you Christ did not come to be served, but to serve.
- Thus, God wants you to stop serving Him and allow Him to serve you! If you have a hard time believing this then read Mark 10:45; “For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve.”
- Since He is complete in Himself, He needs nobody to serve Him. He needs no helpers. God isn't demanding your service for He doesn't want to be served but came to serve.
- Consequently, God is only honored when you allow Him to serve you. At the flipside if you believe you are saved to serve God you dishonor Him. Simply put, don’t serve God, He serves you!
Is that rich, or what? I can barely stop laughing! Keep this guy away from the holy laughter crowd because he would absolutely kill them with laughter!
Before we get caught up in more hysteria watching this video, let's take a little intermission to remember the words of Jesus so that we can better appreciate this guy's absurd humor.
“And which of you who has a slave plowing or shepherding [sheep] who comes in from the field will say to him, ‘Come here at once [and] recline at the table’? Will he not rather say to him, ‘Prepare something that I may eat, and dress yourself to serve me while I eat and drink, and after these [things] you will eat and drink.’ He will not be grateful to the slave because he did what was ordered, [will he]? Thus you also, when you have done all the things you were ordered to do, say, ‘We are unworthy slaves; we have done what we were obligated to do.’*” Luke 17:7-10
Therefore I exhort you, brothers, through the mercies of God, to present your bodies [as] a living sacrifice, holy [and] pleasing to God, [which is] your reasonable service. Romans 12:1
