I had to put in my two weeks notice from one job to go to another. They said they'd call me back and so most of the day has just been waiting near the phone like
Today I had a strange urge to check out Toys R Us. I haven't been there in a couple of years. I was very surprised to find a Burago brand die-cast Ferrari 430 there and it was almost half the price of what they usually go for and only one on the shelf so I had to get it (it was less than $20) even though I usually don't add more than one car a year to my collection..
Burago is one of the higher end die-cast car makers and the attention to detail on this little car is amazing...

I went to a new eye doctor and it was super weird lol. First he lectured me about replacing my contacts every month instead of two months. After that he gave me two samples he had, but he put them in my eyes himself 
not cool. He then asked me which type of contacts I wanted.. I said it really depends on the prices for each and he threw up his hands and said, "I don't know the prices, you just have to tell me." XD so I'm ordering them from another place and never going back there again.

Went to a live recording of NPR's Whad'ya Know? news quiz radio show.
Afterwards, the weather was beautiful, so after arming myself with music, a squeaky ball, and plenty of water, my pup and I went on a nice long walk
then i went to a stranger's wedding with a coworker, and had an absolute blast sitting at a table with some elderly ladies who gradually warmed up to the two of us after really sizing us up. They gave us unsolicited wedding planning advice. And a Mary Kay business card.
Now I'm home, settled in for the night, about to give my hair some badly needed TLC with some protein and deep conditioning. Might paint my nails if I get to feeling extra fancy, we'll see.

We went to a chinese buffet to celebrate my dad's birthday. He would have been 74. It happened to be my favorite buffet so it was very good and I got very stuffed. Thank God I jogged 3.6 miles last night..
Then this afternoon I spent some time straightening out stuff in the garage and I might play my drums later..Oh and I managed to somehow fix my CD player which wasn't opening last night. Its really old but its powerful and perfect for my drumming

Today was awesome... I don't have pictures to show for it... But it was a wonderful day with my mom and my brother... Lunch. Shopping.. Ah. I miss those days! But hey... I'll take what I can get 
Ugh I hate harry potter, and I ended up not playing after all. I did record a cover or a carole king song though. It's in the streams thread if u want to listen to it..Saturday night jam session

I liked the first two harry potter movies but I found the rest to be very lacking. Pretty much the same with star wars, except I loved the original three which I saw in the 80's when they came out. Haven't seen the new one yet...
