So, you guys invite these sort of guys to come speak at your church? Interesting.

So Im pretty much the last person to agree with Dude,we dont see eye to eye much. But didn't he say the special speaker was a minister now? What is the problem with asking a special speaker to a church? What did I miss?

You gotta pardon Willie. He's a forgetful troll.. :p lol jk
I may be forgetful, but I can read. The guest speaker at his church was a woman. And in his complaining post, he reffred to the preacher as a man. And the church with no A/C, he didn't even stay.

I dunno. I guess I don't understand this because I doubt we would ever invite an irrelevant jumper and holler to speak at our church. Sounds a bit like this is what they deliberately wanted at his church, or they wouldn't have invited him.

There is nothing wrong at having a guest speaker come and speak at our churches, as long as they are not disrespectful to the preacher/minister of your church.

Almost every Baptist church I have been in or gone to as done this showing their unity among one another........

We just had a guest preacher come in and give the sermon this Sunday because our regular preacher was sick.

His message was about our responsibilities as believers in Christ, and why teachings exist now saying nothing is required of us when our Lord Jesus said, "To much has been given, much will be required."

Ive been in churches where the preacher can get excited and loud,I dont see a problem with that. Its what he saying that is the issue.Im not a fan of a preacher that hollers all the time but nothing wrong with getting excited.

Our pastor may get excited from time to time and get kinda loud but for the most part he would rather teach you something then to act all extra.. .. I've been there for 11 years and our Pastor is an excellent speaker with numerous college degrees. He always has something good to teach us.. most of the guest speakers who Pastor invites are good too but every now and then you get that one who acts all extra and isn't really talking about anything

I agreed with this article for the most part but air conditioning?.... last summer I visited a local church for their pastors appreciation day. It was 110 degrees that day and they did not have the air conditioner on. I stayed about 5 minutes and left
Try going to a church in Haiti.

Also when you play on people's emotions and get them excited, they are more likely to dig into their pockets and give. The preacher gets up before the congregation and does nothing but shout and jump around and talk vague irrelevant stuff.... I'm sitting there in my seat thinking.... this man has been up there for 45 minutes shouting and making noise but hasn't said anything of substance yet...... and then at the end of it they asked us to sow into this man of God... no thanks, I'll sow this money into my cable bill instead since he was just up there to entertain us
Brother, it sounds like you need to find a different body of believers to worship with....

Or Grenada... "well it never really gets much over about 85 degrees" ... yes, but the humidity is about 99%... that's tough on an old fat guy... I LOVE their singing, though.....
