I once saw someone driving while doing their nails, talking on the phone, and trying to drink something.....There was a kid in the car....I couldn't believe it.
Yeah I saw this one lady texting while driving, and she came over into my lane. I grabbed for the steering wheel so fast my hamburger went flying across the car. And I spilled coffee all over my road atlas. :-/

Oooh, you should get a coffee grinder + coffee brewer! Then you can invite me over and we can use this bag of whole bean butterscotch and caramel coffee beans I have from Harry & David - and by we, I mean you can grind the beans and brew the coffee, and I'll let you know how it tastes. :D

EDIT: Hopefully your week improves. The weekend isn't too far off at least; halfway there!
Ha.... You think you're so clever... ;)

No.. I'm done making coffee, if someone wants to make ME coffee for a change, I'm down for that. As for me working my little fingers to the bone.. Making coffee watching it brew or not brew... Uh, no thanks. :p

As someone who's worked in stores on and off for 24 years... I can back Kodi up in saying that people do a lot of stupid things with appliances.

I used to work in a store that, because of a customer base that was mostly wealthy, entitled senior citizens, had an overly generous return policy. People would buy patio furniture, put it out for the season, then return it before winter for a full refund (so they could repeat the same pattern the next spring.) Same with cooking appliances, coffee makers, and anything else that the store sold... They would abuse things in every possible way or use what they bought for everything BUT its intended purpose, and then demand their money back.
Or they go on vacation and "buy" a lot of stuff (camcorder, luggage, beach ball, beach towel, etc,) then bring it back after the vacation is over. Like the store is some kind of library. And THAT, my friends, is why some stores charge a 10% reshelving cost on all refunds.

My grandmother tells of a neighbor who would always "borrow" a jar of her homemade apple jelly, then repay her with a jar of store jelly. My grandmother started keeping that jar of store jelly, and when the neighbor came to borrow a jar she gave her the store jelly. That was the last time that neighbor tried to borrow a jar...

Maybe the store could keep that patio furniture, put the customer's name on it, and resell it to the same customer next spring.

at least your coffee maker went out like that and not like the one that a customer had did.....He saw me stocking the coffee, saw a breakfast blend, and said "I am going to make my own breakfast blend, that sounds good."
A few hours later he comes back in and buys a new coffee maker....As I am checking out his groceries he tells me to never put eggs, pancakes, and bacon in a coffee machine......
Uh... No way that could have possibly have happened... I don't believe you!! :p

What store is this?? I need to start buying my stuff from there!!
This is the very reason why I declined to mention the name of the store!

I know you're not like that, Zero, but unfortunately, many people are. As Lynx said, a lot of people today are using stores as libraries, and the rest of us literally have to pay for it.

One of the worst offenders I've seen was someone who brought back a vacuum that looked like it had been used to clean out a horse stall... but the person claimed they "hadn't used it."

And you can't argue with them because then you'll be accused of calling the customer a liar, and unfortunately, stupid policies such as "the customer is always right" force stores to cater to nonsense like this.

I know this isn't the "Christian" thing to do, but every time I see this, I always pray, "May they reap what they sow... Dishonesty and fraud."

Actually I used to return stuff all the time, but for legitimate reasons like "I decided I don't like it". But now I forget to return them until the XX-day return window expires. :(

When you're juggling two jobs, putting in 48-50 hours per week...and you come back to your place, sit at the table to have a quick dinner, and pass out with your head by your plate.

Me: Spotify, let me count the ways you love me.
Just the other day you played me a 'One Direction' song.

Spotify: So?

Me: ...I specifically asked for 'Lacey Sturm' (the ex-lead singer of 'Flyleaf').

Spotify: Heh heh

Me: Shut up.

Yeah, that's why I listen to Lynx Radio. It's my music collection with more than 8,000 songs. All christian, but every style from bluegrass gospel to christian rap and everything in between. ;)

Has anyone else noticed the increase in satanic references and blasphemy in media?

I'm not one of those doom-sayer types, but I've noticed a significant publicized increase in usernames, gamertags, music, movies, and the like about demons, upside crosses, triple six, pentagrams, goat worship, and all that other rubbish and nonsense.

It's crazy. I mean, the number of Horror films being produced to other movies almost seems like 2 to 1 or more... and now they're popping up on Youtube, Pandora, and other paid advertising sites frequently. TV shows about the devil, and all sorts of stuff... It's like he's advertising. =/ I mean, I know there was all this stuff before, but it's almost getting pervasive now...

Yes, I have really been noticing this too more lately, even with some games that I sometimes play I've been seeing things that quite bother me. :/
