"We" meaning all who are IN Christ Magenta. Like when Jesus compared the woman who washed and dried His feet as loving Him more than the Disciple whose house He was visiting. She was a prostitute and a major big sinner in everyone's (and her own) estimation.
Jesus had forgiven her much she realized and because she realized how much forgiveness she received she loved Jesus more. Being loved is what speaks to people. The love of God constrains us and draws us in.
That is why the Gospel means the good news. Unmerited unearned love and favor (grace) is how we are saved and how we are able to grow up in maturity in Christ.
Knowing by faith there is no condemnation but there IS love from our Father will make all the difference in how we are able to obey and honor God. He meant it that way. The Bible says it is not that we loved God...but that HE loved us and gave His Son. Getting a revelation of the kind of love God has for us will enable us to move forward in our faith.
Jesus told the woman in John 8:11 .."Neither do I condemn you; go and sin no more" Because we have the gift of no condemnation since Jesus was condemned for all our sins Rom.8:1 God will no longer condemn us because He is faithful and just to what His Son already did for us.
The mistake people make and many Christians too (myself included) is tell someone to FIRST go and sin no more and then I won't condemn you. But Jesus is not like us. He first takes care of the problem and on top of that, gives us the gift of no condemnation so that we have the strength to go and sin no more.

That's because you can't explain it. If it was truth, it would be explainable. If it's not explainable, then it's just a feeling.
Do you think slandering others is loving? Do you think that someone pretending they do not slander others when they do is loving behavior on their part? Is it loving for someone to deny the truth when proof is given? Or is is it a blatant lie to call the truth an untruth? Is it loving to point out to another when they are wrong? Where does one draw the line? Jesus spent a good deal of time pointing out error, and so did Paul. Where do we draw the line? Personally I find it quite distasteful to engage in taking other's inventory. But it is equally difficult to sit idly by and witness such atrocities in silence.

I was not using Romans 7 as an excuse to sin. But explaining how Paul through the Holy Spirit gives us a way out. This is a false belief that says we have a civil war going on inside us. We do not have 2 natures. We have one nature, the born again spirit man. As Christians we are daily learning 'how' to walk in newness of life.
We used to walk according to the flesh, that is all we knew. But now we have been given a new nature. The old man is passed away.,dead. Old things are passed away behold all things are become new. We do however have the memory and habits of our old life and 'how' to survive here on earth.
By faith we learn to 'work out' our salvation.,our new nature., we have all things pertaining to life and godliness., we have been given the spirit of power and love and a sound mind... These things and much more we have been given at the new birth. We are a new man created IN Christ. We have to identify and see ourselves as sons., not sinners.
Our identity is not based on 'how' we walk it is based on 'where' Christ has placed us IN righteous standing... Our identity is found in WHERE we are IN Christ. Just like we were walking in sin and death and judgment and wrath before Jesus saved us.... now we are walking in righteousness and holiness now that Jesus has saved us and given us sonship. Our POSITION has totally changed.
For instance.... In Adam all sin, all are guilty just by being born in Adam's race. All in Adam have imputed sin put on them by Adam's sin. No matter how good a human wants to be, he can't get himself out of the (place of sin) because he is a sinner in Adam.
(The human needs a Savior). Jesus came and IMPUTED His righteousness on us instead of us having Adam's imputed sin on us. So when we received Jesus, we became new creations in Christ born again made sons of the Most High. No more to be called sinners but sons and saints.
The way for us to walk out Christ in our lives is to yield to the Spirit not the (habits) of the flesh. This takes faith... since it goes against our old nature to take life based on what is NOT seen or felt or proved in the natural.
Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the assurance the confirmation the title deed of the things we hope for being the proof of things we do not see and the conviction of their reality (faith perceiving as real fact what is NOT revealed to the senses.) Amplified Bible
Try to do that walk of faith in the flesh and see why many people are not fighting the good fight of faith successfully.. They don't know who they are IN Christ. They are still identifying themselves as sinners. Not availing themselves to the gifts of grace and no condemnation that were imparted to them by Christ Himself.

You know I have always appreciated what you share here,
and more than that, the heart with which you share it.
I know I am powerless over what others do. If they want to lie and misrepresent themselves while they misrepresent others that is their business, but neither does it mean I am to sit idly by in silence forever while they do it. We are actually called to correct others, those within the church, when they are out of line (as described). Hugs are nice but at the same time it does not address any of the pertinent issues. They are not necessarily yours to answer to, either, though, so all is well. I know the other person may never address them either, and that is okay too. It would be good if they stopped, though. It is not like others are blind to their offenses. Maybe only they are.
We might continue to sin until we die, but there are always consequences to our sin. Therefore, it is best to resist temptation to the best of our ability
Amen...I would just add....it is not our ability ( but I know what you were getting at with that statement..)..to the degree that we have the life of Jesus manifesting and flowing out of our lives...It's His live that we are saved by.

The life of Jesus manifesting sounds like possesion and not transformation or the sense of becoming or obeying or following Jesus.
No where is scripture are christian called to manifest the life of Jesus. We are called to walk in the spirit, live by loving people. It implies you just become something rather than there is a choice of the will involved.
People often use the word he manifested a demon that just appeared and took him over. Now I oppose the concept that walking in the Spirit is anything like the occult or possession. My experience of the Lord is he inspires and directs but the believer does the action. If you think it is otherwise have you any scriptural examples of this?
I wonder about this. Didn't Jesus say that he would give us ability to do his works? Yes he did.
But you will receive power (ability, δύναμις dunamis) [when] the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the farthest part of the earth. Acts 1:8
Technically, the ability is not of us, but it does become our ability.
As far as I understand demon possession a person has no control, the demon takes over and shoves the person in the background.
The Holy Spirit gifts or empowers the believer so they can exercise the skills or gifts as they choose. The Lord also gives faith to use to ask the Lord to do something in His will. I see this as a very different process, because it is the difference between a servant heart and a dominating dictatorship.

All believers are light in the Lord. You are either in light or darkness..it's kind alike you are either a sheep or a goat..we don't change from a sheep to a goat and then back to a sheep again..amd there are no "shoats"..

1 Corinthians 7:37 Nevertheless he that standeth stedfast in his heart, having no necessity, but hath power over his own will, and hath so decreed in his heart that he will keep his virgin, doeth well.
We have power over our own will, demon or no demon.
Adding these in,

Yes,we have to first make the inside of the cup clean and only GOD can clean the inside.
