Most often? That is a very untrue statement!
Medical issues and heredity may be a contributing factor but certainly not the main cause. Alot of the time, the chemical imbalance comes from eating nutrient empty foods day in and day out AND, the majority of people eat when their body just wants water! How many people on meds eat only whole foods? The meds were designed to help a body whose diet is only whole foods and proper water intake.. Did you know that? The main cause of obesity is bad food, too much food, not enough water, and no to little exercise.
There is also an epidemic of over medicated people in the USA too! They are overly medicated because their diet is very bad. Medication is designed to be ingested by a body that is eating whole foods . This is the doctors fault for not educating their patients but it is also the fault of the patient for not educating themselves to have a healthier body with less weight to carry around!!
I wish that I could "like" this post twice!
Please understand, I'm not slamming fat people... I'm about 30 pounds heavier than I should be, and I know exactly why. I haven't been eating the right foods, and I haven't been exercising.
What I'm doing is exactly what my post above states.... I'm taking in more calories than I'm burning. And, it's MY fault.
Like Lynn said, she was eating the calories that the "chart" said was ok, but.. her activity level had dropped. Wasn't her fault, just the way it was. When that happens, you have to lower your "intake" to match, or be less than, your "output", or you'll gain weight.
