yes, youre right. i havent read the bible, nor have i been baptized. i openly admit BOTH of those things here. my family are christians, and we believe we dont have to go to church in order to show god we love him. we dont need to go into a building with a group of people to show our loyalty. if i werent a christian, i wouldnt call myself one. if i werent a christian, i wouldnt be on this website.

god is not hateful, he is loving, kind and caring towards everyone. he created everyone equally, and there is not one person he loves over another

Lets slow down here. You are a Christian, you love God,which goes without saying. So why would you not read His words for you in the Bible? You wouldn't have to ask anyone here any questions if you read the Bible for yourself. How can your serve God if you don't know Him and don't know what he wants from you?

The Bible says to not forsake the assembling of ourselves together,or in other words attend church. Going to church doesn't make you a Christian anymore than sitting in a garage makes you a Corvette. We go to church to learn about God,to get closer to Him and hear his Word. We also go to encourage each other in the faith.

Yes God is loving and kind and caring. He so loved the world that He gave His life for all. But He is also a just God and a jealous God who says you shall have no other gods before Me. There is only one way to God the father and that is through Jesus Christ. Muhammad won't get you there,Buddha wont get you there, Dali Lama wont get you there.Only one path,Jesus who died for your sins. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved. You cannot follow God and not read His Word.

what do you mean when you say i will regret it?
Because you are going against God and His will for your life. You are taking your own path. You asked a question and Christians who have read the Bible are answering you according to what God says. To each person you keep saying, yes but...,yes but... You are disobeying God. Christians are not permitted to date people outside the faith. So when you say "God Im gonna do what I want to do,you say its wrong but it makes me happy" God takes His hand off of you. He takes away His blessing and His protection because you are doing what you want to do instead of what He asks you to do.

You will find that a Muslim man can marry a non-muslim but that his offspring MUST be raised as Muslim, a Muslim woman CANNOT marry a non-Muslim man. In countries where strict Sharia (Muslim law) is followed a Muslim father would execute his daughter before allowing her to marry a non-Muslim.
I can vouch for this. Brittany, I live in a country where Muslims are widely prevalent. Still, the broad consensus among the people here are that Muslims are not very sociable and that it is safe to not date or marry a Muslim. It is not because all Muslims are bad, but it is because their religion has so many teachings that can be misinterpreted or twisted, to justify harmful activities.

If you really want to understand these things for yourself, please read about the 'Love Jihad' and about how ISIS members have used this game to trick numerous women into joining them in the Middle East. Please note that I am not casting aspersions on your boyfriend's character nor am I alleging that he works with the ISIS.

I hope this is the right place to put this, but I was wondering if a Christian dating a Muslim is okay? I'm dating a Muslim and I love him so much. Also, are Christians allowed to eat Halal?

im not a troll, but thanks...
this is a legitimate topic, and it's a little rude to call me a troll. i'm here seeking HELP. i would never troll a christian website, being i am one myself.
You won't be a christian for very long, if you marry a Muslim. You WILL be FORCED to abandon christianity, embrace Islam, and start doing the customs of Muslim women. If you marry this guy, you're going against God's command to not be unequally yoked to an unbeliever. Muslims don't believe in God. Not the God that christians believe in, anyway. Allah is their god, and Allah is a false god. You need to take the advice given here by others and break things off with this guy NOW.

Britney, the "G" in God needs to be capitalized. A lowercase g shows us you're referring to a god other than the God in the bible.

BritneyG......let's do a reversal. Your muslim bf is not dating you to become CHRISTIANized. He cares less for your 'religious" upbringing. You represent a female to him only. You represent sex, someone who is under his thumb, no matter how sweet or pretentious he pretends to be. HE is not online in a CHRISTIAN chatroom or even a muslim chatroom typing out "I am dating a CHRISTIAN. What should I do? or "What is wrong with that?". He is NOT insecure with his faith. You are! YOu just told us that you do NOT attend a church..a solid background of holy spirit filled Christian brothers/sisters in CHRIST that you can draw strength from. You come across as having a 'flirting" attitude about what CHRISTIANITY is all about. You are already setting yourself up to be unequally yoked. Besides..if you were truely firm in CHRIST, you would have His Holy Spirit within your life..where HE answers, He guides, He directs, He comforts and so forth. You would not have to try to convince yourself that you are correct by dating a muslim. Let's try this: Confront your bf sincerely..express that you are a CHRIST follower and that at NO time ever in your life would you reverence mohammed. Tell him that you read the BIBLE, you belong to JESUS CHRIST, as His child and that you're not ashamed to be a Christian. Notice how he responds. All bets are that he will not tell you "But, sweetheart, I want to know JESUS CHRIST as my Savior and KING, because I see HIM in you!" 'nuff said

Haven't read the Bible, have not been baptized, don't go to church, believe God doesn't "judge" anyone for anything they do... How on earth could you come to the conclusion that you are a "Christian"? Do you just like the sound of it, and decided to call yourself one?
You get LOTS of scriptural advice that says "don't do it" and you want to argue about it?

Mitspa had it right.... we're being trolled, folks.

I don't expect to see her again. She didn't get the answer she wanted. People come and ask a question with their mind made up. Then when we all begin to share Scripture and tell her what she's doing is wrong she doesn't want to hear it.She didn't come to hear the truth, she came to get patted on the back and hear she's right and God will look the other way just for her. Seen it in here too many times to count. She didn't get what she wanted. Doubt she'll be back.

You're probably right, she may not be back. Why did she even come here and post a question, if all she needed was positive validation? :/

Anyway, I hope that God will open her eyes.

You're already to the point of chucking your values for him. All you really want is permission to do so. Doesn't that say it all?

If you continue down the path that you are on you will become unequally yoked. Christians can eat anything that they want.

Will me marrying a non-believer send me to hell?

As for the halal, it's not specifically that i WANT to eat it, it's just that his family eats halal, and i feel like i shouldnt be rude and NOT eat it. would that send me to hell?
No, your sins will do that. May I assume you are only an ethnic christian? You don't seem to understand salvation or God, but, ultimately, you're only concern is the Get Out of Jail Free card. You don't have one yet, so you can't play it. When you get one, you'll know it's something much more important then merely if you're going to hell.

In the muslim Quran, it says they are allowed to date muslims, jews and christians because they follow the book. so i'm not quite sure how it's not the same god?
So, you believe what your being told rather than checking it out yourself?

I see a disaster coming.

what is a sist?

i understand what youre saying, but at the same time, i feel like god let me and my boyfriend meet for a reason. doesnt god work in mysterious ways? wouldnt god want me to be happy with this man?

also, im assuming by your reply, that it IS okay to eat halal?
This is a crock. If you really "felt" any of that you wouldn't be trying to get us to convince you that you're making the right decision. You know you're not. You just want permission anyway.

Why would god not love everyone equally? he created everyone on this earth. of course he would love everyone. god doesnt turn his back on people, he treats everyone just the same. i've been taught that my whole life. ive gone to church, its what ive learned.
If this is what you truly think God's like you know as much about Christianity as you know about Islam.

i feel as though god would be disappointed if people choose not to take the route of christianty, but i also believe that he wouldnt hate them because of it.
"I feel as though" the sun ought to be purple, so I'm going to tell everyone about the purple sun based on how I feel. That's got to be right, right? It's what we really wants that matters. If we really want it, it must be true.
