Whatever the holy spirit wants us to know about it is fully able to bring to our remembrance. Either through a direct remembrance of a sin, or a feeling of wrongdoing. In either case it merely takes being sensitive to the spirit to acknowledge such and receive forgiveness.
 
Amen..it's in knowing we are His in total "security' that releases His life in us to "maturity"

Yeah, but if you forget that one sin,, Your in trouble

remember, a lot of sins add up.. Can you remember every one of them??

I am sorry, That is too risky,, God did not want is to fear. he adopted us because he knows we can't remember..

No. I'm not because I'm in Christ.

This concept that we have to remember every sin ever done is just a caricature of the situation that you folks do (either purposely or ignorantly) to avoid having to deal with the reality that Christians who practice sin can be cut off from GOD.

... I am grateful to God for His gift of grace ... and I appreciate that Jesus' commands are expressions of who God is and what God likes.

Out of love and respect for Him and what he stands for I WANT to follow His commands and make him smile.

I WANT to do my best to resist the sinful flesh ... because I don't want to disappoint my Father in heaven ...

And the only reason I feel this way is because God reconciled me to Himself by Jesus' sacrifice.

If He hadn't done that then I wouldn't know Him or what He loves or hates and I certainly wouldn't be concerned for His feelings....

I am blessed ... in Christ Jesus.

Where two or more are gathered in My name (Jesus) there shall I be also ... Matt 18:20

Let's all consider His feelings while we discuss His word ... trying to love one another as He commanded us.

A Christian can not practice sin, You keep forgetting that. God does not allow them to. nor would they ever want too..

I know its hard for you to understand.. But that is the truth..
 
I just got an interesting thought ...

Before I was saved by grace there was a war going on between the devil and I ....
But now that I am in Christ - I have no more battle, for he has taken it upon himself :)

does this sound right?

The devil would not get involved unless you were a threat to him.. But while you were being drawn to God by the spirit. yes you did have a battle.

But sadly, The spirit and the flesh war. because the flesh still wants to serve self.. while the spirit wants to serve God.

this is the war Paul spoke of..

if there was no war here, We would never be tempted to sin.
 
To go even further ... Jesus already won that battle against the devil ... so he does not bear that anymore either

God still warns us to be watchfull, because the devil seeks to devour us..

All it takes is an accusing word. and if we let it linger, it can take us out..

I have peace also.. Because no matter what my flesh does to me, It can't win, GOD WON!!
 
Simple reality

Faith, the gift of God, is reckoned to us as righteousness. Now if this is 100% righteousness, why does Jesus's righteousness need to be imputed to us.

Now some have said this is ones own righteousness. No. It is righteousness reckoned to us because of faith.

Now this was viewed in alignment with Abraham who obeyed God and followed Gods commands and precepts.
The temptation is to say this is irrelevant.

If ones theology does not account for this view, you are missing the apostles understanding of the effect of faith.
