They happen to have a lighter sent that my husband wears. Im allergic to anything strong so he's worn this scent since we met. I only use body spray with a fruit smell. Flowers kill my sinuses.

If you live in the south you're going to need some sort of body spray. When it gets up over 102 all the soap in the world wont help,unless you hold it under your arms.

Im allergic to perfumes and can only tolerate lightly scented body spray. I think judging someones character by the scent they wear is a little, forgive me, immature. Different people can tolerate different types of scent. It has nothing to do with character.

It does,my husband wears it and has since we met. I wont let him change it. But his uses it very lightly. So in my case it worked.:p

I've read a lot of crosstweed's posts and have seen her in chat... and I'm pretty much 99.9% sure she was joking about judging people by their scents...

If not, I hope I'm wearing a scent that reeks "Most Excellent Character Here!" ;)

You can tell a lot about a person by what they wear. It has nothing to do with tolerating different types of scent... it has to do with your sense of taste. If a guy drenches himself in a cheap scent known to advertise its product by portraying women falling all over the wearers, I can make a pretty good character call on that without ever talking to the guy. Especially in combination with a few other basic observations, such as his speech mannerisms and style of dress.

Lol who knew what scent or how much you used could affect someone's view of that person's character...

"If a guy drenches himself in a cheap scent known to advertise its product by portraying women falling all over the wearers, I can make a pretty good character call on that without ever talking to the guy"

That's pretty good, so that means you probably have a good nose and can tell what brand scent it is, the cost, and the advertisement for it...;) and review a guy before he even speaks with all the aforementioned info about the scent.....funny yet interesting....

My stepsons use it, so I'm guessing it might be more for the younger crowd.

LOL then my apologies to Crossweed! Its hard to read sarcasm.lol I thought that was a weird comment,I should have asked.My bad. :( That being said Ive met people I really wanted to introduce to a bar of soap.

I think I misunderstood what you were saying. I know men that seem like they shower in perfume. Ive had a man hug me and I walk away smelling like a man and my scent is gone. So ya I hate that too. Young guys seem to do that mostly. Maybe you have to grow into your scent?
 
My wife looked over my shoulder and asked, "What is that?" I had to admit I had no idea. I said, "Deodorant, maybe?"

You don't really have to have a good nose to pick up the scent of cheap cologne or deodorant. It's kind of... there.

I think it requires a degree of intelligence and maturity to pick out a nice scent and use it wisely and that's part of the problem.

In a way, scents are a very intimate, personal thing; people pick a scent that appeals to them. As a result, you can tell a lot about a person from it. For example, there are various perfumes and body sprays that have a very sultry vanilla-musk-candy scent. They almost all have some sexually-related title ("Burlesque", for example). I don't know anyone who wears them very often, except for a couple of girls. To me, it smells like $5 streetwalker perfume. When I smell it I automatically think someone is trying to subtly (or not subtly) walk on their sensual side. I happen to know both of those girls struggle with the temptation to flaunt their sexuality. No offense to anyone here who wears it, but that's my experience.

Well I think my problem is from time to time my sinus is blocked so I can't smell anything,which is often a good thing. :) Hubby wears Phoenix Axe. The rest seemed strong. But I do notice just about every "star" has some kind of perfume. I saw a commercial with Johnny Depp where he's in the desert and it was a perfume he was promoting,weird. I said to hubby "ok we all know the dude reeks of weed". Like his acting sometimes but he seems like a weird little dude.

She likes perfume, and has a lot. But she only uses it if she is going somewhere I won't be. I often have to change seats in auditoriums because of some foul concoction someone has doused themselves in.
