So I am starting this post as I know we all encounter those selfish and rude individuals in life and we hold in what we really want to say or do to show our Love for good by displaying good attitude and manners.

That being said there are times in which we really want to say something.

Obviously this post has to do with an experience and here is mine in which I held my tongue and actions. Mind you my oldest is the one who have me the stern look as my child knows me and what I wanted to do.

I was just in a pizza parlor with the youth group. I am the only adult and I personally do not mind the trend being trend and joking, playing and talking loud. After they are I told all 16 to go play sharks and minos and I will settle the bill. This lady says loudly as after they left..." nothing like a bunch it loud annoying kids to ruin my meal." I looked at her and smiled, settled my bill and walked out. Then I thought you know what lady I should show you are they get their happy crazy side from and moon you through this window. However...I walked in again after my oldest have me a stern look of Please Mom No!....and handed her an invitation to church for Easter.

My question to you is what have you encountered and how did you handle it? Would you have perferred to say something or do something different? What did you really want to say or do verses allowing your Christian attitude shine through?

That sort of straddles the fence between being rude and voicing one's opinion. I would have just taken it as a hint that next time maybe the kids need to tone it down a notch. I've been in situations where a group of teenagers were being loud and oblivious to everyone around them and its not the greatest experience.

Honestly they weren't being what I consider loud or obnoxious. Especially for a pizza parlor.

No one wants to post how they handle situations. Interesting!!!

Lol I'm afraid I'd just laugh and joke about it in their face.
A neighbour once complained. It doesn't go well with the yelling does it? Oh I think they're yelling pretty well actually. Lol that face. Later talked with her friendlier. Look I can't put them behind the tv 24/7 so they don't make any noise at all. I can't help live in this old people apartment. There is nothing else otherwise I'd have moved a long time ago. We ate already gone, outside most of yhe time. Sorry but yes they do talk and are enthousiastic when a friend comes over and they may.

Lol we were once in a restaurant with the kids when they were real small and I never take them to a restaurant. The waitress said they were cute and behaved well, but there was a group of people at the other table. They kept looking at us and I thought: awww see they like my kids too! They're so sweet.
Later it dawned on me that they were simply annoyed to no end.

If I weren't a ninja, I'd be scared of you. O_O lol.. However, you showed alot of class by giving her an invitation instead of a.... butt-whoopin'..

I tend to speak my mind quite directly :p probably not always a good idea.

What annoys me is when elderly people say such things and expect everyone to agree with them just because they "must be" right because the teens / kids are "always wrong"

I've eaten in places where the ADULTS were noisier than the kids. lol.. In your situation, I would have said to the lady, "yes, they are a bit loud but they're kids and if you don't like the noise disrupting your meal, either move elsewhere in the restaurant or go somewhere else to eat". :) It depends on the situation, though. A friend of mine is in a wheelchair and sometimes when we were downstreet by the movie theater, a line of people would be waiting outside, thereby blocking the entire sidewalk. After a few quiet, polite "excuse us, could you move please" turned into LOUD "EXCUSE US! EXCUSE US! WHEELCHAIR COMING THROUGH, MOVE IT OR LOSE IT". The thing that irked me was the people would turn around and see the wheelchair, but not move. THAT'S when I get rude about it..

Oh ok then that was rude. I was actually going to post an example of something that happened to me, but I had to run.

Anyway I usually remain silent and chalk it up as an attack by the devil, but one time this guy cut in line right in front of me and wouldn't leave even though me and a couple people behind me told him twice that the end of the line was behind us. He insisted that there were two lines (the two lines merged into one because it backed up to where there was only room for one line and there were 4 or 5 people behind me). Me and those behind me had been waiting already for five minutes or so and I was very hungry. When my turn finally came up, I 'accidentally' bumped into that guy as I walked up to the service window (this was at costco). He turned around, called me an m.f. and said 'bring it on'. I yelled loud enough for everyone to hear "YOU CUT IN FRONT OF ME!" I think I had smoke coming out of my ears lol. He replied "there were 2 lines". I yelled back again, "THERE'S ONLY ONE LINE! ME AND THE PEOPLE BEHIND ME TOLD YOU THAT MORE THAN ONCE!!" He turned around and quietly walked away. The cashier looked a little scared when I finally gave her my order lol.

But most of the time I just suck it up and sometimes have to pray it away.

Well, I'm not often encountering situations like this, but I'm just smiling saying "Bless your heart, Ma'am/Sir" or sometimes "Aren't you sweet", or "Jesus luvs you"...I can put on quite a venomous smile at times:p (jk...or?) lol

Oh I admit I would have been very load from the get go on their lack of manners in that situation.

I think you handled that well, as you didn't swear or kick butt! If someone cuts in front of me, I ask my oldest to pass gas facing them. They tend to move! HAHAHAHA

I was buying a car and brought my dad with me last year for moral support. I was a little grumpy with dad that day so the lady attending to us though it was her job to correct my behavior and said "You know I would be thankful my parent is buying me a car" (she thought I was 16'ish) and then she proceeded to do her head tilt and shoulder shrug deal to emphasize the statement. I really held back that day. She realized at the end though.

My usual go to statement is "you're an idiot"

Thank you Jesus for changing me and holding back my tongue :)

HAHA, as a woman who loves to guy cars, fix them up and race them. I have encountered many men who feel I am an idiot. So I commend you for holding your tongue!

After that happened I was so shaken by what I did that I was literally shaking and had to sit in my car and calm myself down while I ate my food. I'm sure that was an attack from the devil because I'd been having one of those days and that was like the icing on the cake. And a few months later they put yellow lines on the ground so there's only one line that winds around instead of a line for each window, thank God!

And yes I make a point not to swear. I find it both immature and shows lack of self control and its not very classy either.

I don't know why I did it but I once had a lady tailgating me so close I was afraid to hit my brakes and I refuse to break the speed limit. When she finally got around me she looked at me, as if looks could kill, and I blew her a kiss.
