reminds me of straining out gnats and swallowing camels. it's here everyday.
I am honestly almost to the point I think people just like to fight, It is like, how can they read what they write, and think there is any truth to it at all??

He is able to but Paul continually warns to stay in the faith and not fall back. He doesn't do it all Alone. You must do your part.
A believer can sin. Maybe some holy ones not but I was perfectly able to go live in sin.
He made Adam with that ingredients.

We see Gods design,his purpose.

Without that ingredient we are robots.

God gives us a new spirit when we believe and are reborn ... this new spirit is like a seed ... he gives us a new seed that produces a new flower ...

The new creation is a seed .... the flower that blooms two weeks later is the "works" James talks about ...

The flower is the evidence that there is a seed beneath the ground, from which it sprung.

What about the believer who has no works abide the fire of the JSOC, but he himself is saved?

HRFTD, what did the blood of Jesus accomplish, if there was still more work to be done to attain salvation? Were the people in Exodus 12:13 safe by the applied blood or was there something more needed for salvation?

hmmm....where does the Bile state we receive a NEW Spirit?

We receive the HOLY SPIRIT...but our own spirit does not become some other spirit

let's be careful about what is being said here

salvation is instantaneous...we GROW IN Christ...we are sanctified and that is a process...that, is growth

we do NOT receive a new spirit...if you think we do, please provide the scripture that indicates to you that we do (receive a new spirit and the old one goes out the window or something)

Only God can create a seed and offer it to us as a new nature ... it's not something we can do ourselves

That is the gift of Grace.

But I think we can help to water the flower .............

It is not heavens super glue holding us to the cornerstone.

Look closer.

It is a hand with a hole in it.

If,if,if,....over and over,if we do "x", he will do"y"

That is WHY some see the hand removed.

Agree, but would say, He made our spirit alive, not a new spirit.

Salvation is free

Freedom is work.

Staying in the faith comes after free salvation, but free salvation is a choice by faith.

John 3:6 says, “That which is born of the Spirit is spirit.” It is evident that in this verse there are two spirits. The first Spirit is capitalized, referring to the divine Spirit. The second spirit has a small letter, referring to the human spirit. That which is born of the divine Spirit is the human spirit. Our human spirit needs to be born of the divine Spirit.

I truly fail to see how you derive receiving, once again, a NEW spirit? what happened to the one you were born with?

Again, we receive the Holy Spirit...not a new spirit

ps...if you would like people to actually click on a link, use the link feature up above and when the window opens, simply insert the URL and that will make your link clickable and bring folks right to the source..K?

Imagine what kind of theology you'd come up with if you were an unrepentant murderer of Christ's brothers.

Take John Calvin, for instance...
Or you, since all you ever do is assassinate others.

I do think I'm hearing you correctly ...

the video explains the three parts of man - his spirit, his soul and his body ...

It distinguishes our spirit from the holy spirit that lives in us.

Is this not what you were asking about?

Scriptures do say that God will create in us a new spirit. We are a new creation in Christ.

Ezekiel 11:19 (NASB)
[SUP]19 [/SUP] "And I will give them one heart, and put a new spirit within them. And I will take the heart of stone out of their flesh and give them a heart of flesh,

We have a new inner man of the heart which is our spirit. The old man is dead and gone now...

Romans 8:10 (NASB)
[SUP]10 [/SUP] If Christ is in you, though the body is dead because of sin, yet the spirit is alive because of righteousness.

Romans 8:16 (NASB)
[SUP]16 [/SUP] The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are children of God,

1 Corinthians 6:17 (KJV)
[SUP]17 [/SUP] But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.

Galatians 6:18 (KJV)
[SUP]18 [/SUP] Brethren, the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen.

There are tons of scriptures that talk about our hearts being new too. Eph 4:23-24 for our inner man of the heart..created in righteousness and holiness.
