Listen to John and a preacher on another forum who hasn't committed one sin since he saw Jesus 30 years ago. He says anyone who sins is from the devil.
Do you have Vine's Dictionary of NT words?..it explains it in there...but the greek words are kainos. and neos....
Here is what Vine says about 2 Cot 5:17 "new"
denotes "new," of that which is unaccustomed or unused, not "new" in time, recent, but "new" as to form or quality, of different nature from what is contrasted as old.Vine's Expository Dictionary of Old Testament and New Testament Words.

I just want to know what word in what context you are using, You said it means new kind. Where?
I was investigating the greek work Kainos that ezekiel uses in 36:26
It's the same "NEW" that Jesus uses in this parable:
""But no one puts a patch of unshrunk cloth on an old garment; for the patch pulls away from the garment, and a worse tear results. 17"Nor do people put new wine into old wineskins; otherwise the wineskins burst, and the wine pours out and the wineskins are ruined; but they put new wine into fresh wineskins, and both are preserved." MATT 9:17
ok that says new creation. We are not talking about the new creation, but the new spirit.
I give you a bike. You decide to throw it in the ditch. Gone is the perfectly good bike. All through Scripture Salvation is presented as a gift from God.
If salvation is predicated on our obedience, then one thing is for certain:
A gift it is not.
Was that a new spirit (new as in never before)
and what spirit was he talking about?
Or was it having your human spirit renewed,
Was that a new spirit (new as in never before)
and what spirit was he talking about?
Or was it having your human spirit renewed,
Our spirit is made a NEW spirit in the same way that they would use a FRESH wineskin for new wine.
Both instances use the same greek word: Kainos
It is the human spirit being made "new" when we receive Christ..our human spirit is renewed...re-created is another term..being born again.......we had a spirit that was in Adam but now we have a new spirit created in Christ Jesus.
1 Corinthians 15:45 (NASB)
[SUP]45 [/SUP] So also it is written, "The first MAN, Adam, BECAME A LIVING SOUL." The last Adam became a life-giving spirit.

Because of the offer and looking at the snake on the pole: believing our sin nature died with Christ, we can be set free from sin. That's why He came, to set us free from sin. Keeping yourself pure is making a choice.
For if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live.*14*For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.
absolutely no idea, I don't follow it anymore.Well according to The Apostle John, He (that John) is a liar and is self decieved.
So I have a question. what does this have to do with the question I asked?
Can you answer or not?

I thought I answered that question that your soul gets holy and set free from bondages.so you can not answer what the difference between salvation and sanctification is.
or why John said whoever is born of God can not live in sin?
I am confused
follow what? that thread? You would be good to stay away from it, and all perfectionists.. They are evil, as evil as legalists..
