I don't like or dislike what you said, but I like that Yet likes what you said. ;)
Well ... I don't know yet yet so I can't really say yet if I agree with yet or not. Yet ...

I never said single pastor. I said that Paul teaches in Tim. and Titus that there are qualifications for Pastors and that all do not qualify. It is a calling, an opportunity serve, not a job or a career. And many are not willing to serve a local church by putting that service before family, job, or self.
Just because you are saved does not qualify you to teach others.
Would you really want a new believer who has limited knowledge and understanding of God's Word to teach others?
Would you please respond to my other statements?
I have one more thought on this. Just so we are understanding each other. Not all elders were teachers. But all elders are pastors. So you are not advocating the 'one pastor at the top system'?

So you are ignoring Paul's teaching that there are very strict requirements for pastors.
It seems that you ignore many Scriptures when it comes to our Lord's churches.
I am sorry that you have such a negative attitude toward the Bride of Christ.

Whoa! Bam, bam, bam! Hold you're horses there. You are judging me wrongly. Not suppose to do that.

I teach and exhort because I do care about the body of Christ and how it is being robbed of both its money and its functionality in Christ.

And you accuse me of ignoring Pauls instructions to the elders. Of course there are guidelines and requirements for any elder and all elders.

I have not ignored any scriptures that pertain to the body of Christ and its function in the assembly. Check all my threads. That's all I ever talk about is the well being and functionality that is deprived the body assembly.

Go read 1Cor. 12, Ephsians 4, and Romans 12. That's what I teach on....constantly. Discerning the body of Christ and its purpose within the gathering.

That last statement about the local 'church' is not true. It is not true in the local church I am a member of, and I think it would be safe for me to assume that you have been in very few local churches.
Yeah, everyone gets to know Yet's thing is to attack churches.

wow guys, 144 replies at least half pointless arguing? I read every one thanks for the responses. I feel I need to say a few things. I do not claim to be a teacher, to be honest with you, I do not know what I am, but I am assured completely that God knows every detail of who I was, who I am now and who I will be for eternity. I have not said that anyone should "throw truth away and hold hands ect...." I left a few thoughts, to hopefully inspire some sort of thought in even one person. and I stand by every word I left. I found many wonderful responses and appreciated every person that took time to respond whether I agreed or not. I have attacked no one, labeled no one and in full truth any label or attack or disagreement with my original post means nothing to me, I am defined by Christ, and his approval is all I seek. My points in this post when 2 or more believers are reading and quoting the same scriptures, and that leads to unwise arguing there is no fruit to be had. A greater point, if we spend our lives arguing and discussing scripture without applying the teachings of Christ to our Lives, there will be no reward waiting even if you quote word and verse entirely. infact the more scripture you know, or claim to know, the more abligated you are to live them. The largest point here was this : When the day comes when we stand before Jesus Chist to receive the rewards we believe in He will have one statement did you Love others as I have taught you to Love others? come you who are blessed by my Father and take your inheritance for when I was hungry, you gave me something to eat. when I was thirsty, you gave me something to eat, when I was a stranger, when I had no clothes, you gave me clothes...you invited me in ect... in short....did you truly Love others?" before this begins another fruitless debate, those are thw words of Christ, and all the knowledgable people on scripture should heed your own words about scripture being the truth, the words Of Jesus Christ being the truth. If He gives a clear statement such as He has done here now who will go find a list of scriptures that deny His words and twist to fit our own beliefs that obviously don't believe in caring for the needy? I assure you I have heard every argument to this. the major point I left here is without true Love, we have deceived ourselves with all our great learning. If you claim to be something special in Christ I would ask "what do you do for those who have need all around us in the world?" do you spend your time with the world arguing to remove the little help the government gives the poor? do you suppose empty words or mass amounts of scripture will replace the truth? wich is to Love one another? In the examination of your own self first, find that you truly care enough for another, before you consider yourself a teacher or leader of the Church. If you know scripture, it isn't necessarily a calling to teach the gospel, but when the scripture gives you Life, when you are living the scriptures you quote........then you will be able to find what you are truly called to do in Him. maybe we all aren't teachers? maybe the best way to share the truth of the gospel, is to tangibly help others in the name of Love. maybe a man of wealth is called to be generous? maybe a person who is very organized is called to be in administration? maybe those with great faith should be laying hands on the sick? maybe each and every one of us are called to one thing...to love those who do not have love in this world. without Gods true Love, all the scripture we quote and debate and argue over doesn't make a church, but a divided kingdom no different than the world. I'm sure ive missed someones response, just to clarify, I hoped to get someone to think about our own actions and life ...."am I really living the gospel?" if not it may be wise to not presume myself a teacher full of Knowledge. God bless you and I am in no way offended by anything anyone said, I hope if ive offended you, you will forgive that. God bless you in the abundance of Christ.....the power of the gospel to reach people is in the truth of Love for one another. again tho lol I'm just a believer do not in anyway consider myself to be something I am not, I only know that I belong to the one who lived and died for me.

These seem to jive together in the deadness between them no?

Rev 3:1 And unto the angel of the church in Sardis write;
These things saith he that hath the seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars;
I know thy works,
that thou hast a name that thou livest, and art dead.

But then it speaks of the him who wanders out of the way of understanding will remain there

Prov 21:6 The man that
wandereth out of the way of understanding
shall remain in the congregation of the dead
.

Prov 9:6 Forsake the foolish, and live; and go in the way of understanding.

Even among the dead there was a few names that would walk in white with Jesus Christ

Rev 3:4
Thou hast a few names even in Sardis
which have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with me
in white: for they are worthy.

Where it speaks of the dead between two, these are what I am speaking of.

Similar dance or song between the two simple verses

In every groups of churches there are believers and un-believers..The wheat and the tares are always together. Jesus spoke in Revelation to the wheat and to the tares. It takes the Holy Spirit to give us understanding of who was being talked to in these scriptures.

depleted...Inquiring minds want to know...Exactly what is depleted in your life that your screen name does not reveal? Please answer so that we can better understand.
Hubby had a massive heart attack on November 21. It was a miracle he survived. He was given three stents that night, but he blew out a valve so hard it blew out the muscles holding it in place too. He was too weak for more surgery, so they waited for him to get stable enough for surgery.

One round of pneumonia, one kidney failure, one infection of unknown origins that spiked his white blood count above "dangerous" by another several points, (40 is dangerous. He was 46. 8-10 is normal), and one month later (December 23rd), he had that surgery.

He is my life. He is my support network. I have family, but that same month Dad's Alzheimer went to "that point" so we all had to deal with that. (Black mold in his house from his lack of knowing he doesn't take care of it anymore, his only caloric intake was beer, until the beer ran out, then the wine he made decades ago, a legal system that says even people who CANNOT make decisions for themselves have the right to make decisions for themselves, and threats with his loaded gun were included.) My support network imploded until all I had was God.

It's 113 days later, hubby just got out of the VA hospital into VA rehab. (Government institutions so under funded and overmanned, but this is what we can afford.) Because he was sedated so long, he lost all muscle tone. He's now fighting back. Dad is in another nursing home driving the nurse nuts by asking for Happy Hour over and over and over again.

The air in my balloon deflated back in November. I am, very much, depleted. The only thing left holding this balloon up is God.

One thing for sure, it really put the nonsense of this site in a new light.

Thats what I'm talking about. The shepherds are to take care of the poor, not the other way around as it is done today. Acts 20.

The Babylonian hierarchy has an insatiable desire to be 'looked up to', adored, and financed for the privilege. Think: pope and exalted clergy. Same goes on in the local 'church'.
Where you miss it is assuming you're the shepherd. Jesus is the shepherd. We're the sheep! Baaaa!

(And if you'd ever realize, sheep take care of each other on purpose.)

Where you are missing it is that men with titles pulling tithes are false shepherds. But you won't study the scriptures I submit. You believe the guy behind the pulpit more than God.

How much money do you give to the church to do Gods work?

Just asking, Because Gods work is not cheap..

Don't be afraid, God does not need your money, (oh wait it is not yours to begin with) He will still get his job done whether you support it or not.

And no, I am not talking about filling some pastors pockets up.. Not all churches do this.. You are just wrong..

Yeah, everyone gets to know Yet's thing is to attack churches.
You sumit yourselves to teachers that 'teach for doctrines the commandments of men, making your worship useless.' Matt. 15:9

You judge me falsely. I do not attack the ecclesia. I defend the ecclesia from wolves and hirelings. I attack apostasy, heresy, doctrines of men and of demons, false teachers, false prophets and the like. So I'm glad you understand now.

all I did was ask you a simple question.

Like most people who have agendas. You ignored the question, and just gave a formed response.

So again, Do you give to the body of Christ or not?

Please answer the question. I do not care what you posted before. that is not my question.
