Haha so true. That is why I offered to talk about it via private message, so that it doesn't get bogged down with unrelated nonsense, as it's very common for a thread to get completely derailed around here.
If you would have given the advice we would all have quietly listened and have said: you are so right. That's what we always do here.

...but you're not a single man...I hope.
No but I am very curious about what he had to say of course. If you want a lot of women responding in your thread just say: this is for men.

Lol that reminded me of a movie I saw Brendan Frasier in. Where he cries at absolutely everything and his girlfriend takes of with the tough guy. I didn't mean it that way.lol

I think the majority of women don't necessarily try to seduce a man. But most women do try to controll a man with sex. Or at least make an attempt to here in the US. Most of the women that tried to actually manipulate or seduce me, already had a man that they lived with. And they didn't want to just leave their man and get with me, so they developed some elaborate plot to make me jealous, or lower my self esteem, and do little manipulative things to make me fall in love with them. That way I'll be chasing them, and they won't look like whores to me for cheating on their spouse.
Sadly, true. Usually it's a matter of pride masked by layers and layers of emotional pain.

No but I am very curious about what he had to say of course. If you want a lot of women responding in your thread just say: this is for men.
Oh my goodness, this is so true lol. Don't think of a brown horse. You just did. Anyway...

---

I know this is a thread for single men lol but I wanted to add something about stupid dating tips on the internet. And as embarrassing as it is to admit, I read tons of blogs about making my then-bf like me more. Worldly advise was consistent with one thing: feed the jerk's ego. So stupidly, I did until it became so huge and life became too miserable! These blogs, books and all sorts of advise won't tell you about the side effects. Of course ya'll have learned that already, thankfully. :)

Point is, as cliche as it is, still God's Word remains the solid foundation and without it, no advise, no matter how helpful it sounds like, if not rooted in God's Word, will ever be good enough. There will be side effects!

That is a faulty judgment. Perhaps a more accurate statement might be: "In my experience, most of the women with whom I chose to associate tried to control me with sex."

It's very unfortunate that happened to you. But it's not fair to group "most women" into that equation just because of the manipulating women you have encountered. Just as it would be totally inaccurate for me to judge "most" men according to the men I have dated. Does that make sense? :)

We all hit an age when we shouldn't do that anymore. We are liable to break something or flatly look foolish lOL

Lol this makes me wonder; What topics do they talk about in that secret Ladies Forum?

Hmmm, might have to re-read Sir Phil's earlier dialogues on this topic and reconsider it more seriously.

The Ladies Forum is usually emotional issues women deal with regarding marriage, engagement, children, age, hair care, makeup, cramps, menopause, style of dress, baby showers, toiletries.... ya know, the things most men get comatose listening to when their wives talk about it to them. Believe me, you'd get so bored in there, your eyes would glaze over & you wouldn't even remember what you read.
