You seem to think you know our hearts and you haven't been here long at all.
You talk as if you believe yourself to be a true Christian and not us but again what does it mean to be a Christian?
All I know is what had been directed at me and the gossip than came after. Of course you don't know me, but your so-called friends are engaged in character assasination, not just me but others. I am beginning to think this site is just a sorority and truth be damned

All I know is that people here are succumbing to a false doctrine and they don't even care. The bible speaks of this and they are willingly walking into the fire. I can admit I don't know what to do against this but leave

This is what I know, yes in the bdf their are many attacks there are many who believe they have the correct doctrine and God forbid you try to show them wrong. But the bible discussion forum is a war zone and so it brings out the worst in others. but have been in the other forums here? you don't hardly ever see war in the other forums

Wow, totally condraticts your statement of righteous conduct
How so? If I previously said that we are saved BY righteous conduct/good works, then that would be a contradiction, but I said we are saved FOR righteous conduct/good works, so there is no contradiction. Ephesians 2:8 - For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast. 10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus FOR good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them. Saved FOR good works, NOT by good works. No contradiction there.

I would say debate against this new gospel. Many see this hyper grace defended as a true gospel. I am one of the ones who say it is false doctrine to be avoided by everyone. For this I am attacked. I believe in Christ's gospel and cannot stand the watering down of my Lord's Gospel. If they are your friends, I'm sorry, but willful ignorance is not accepted in my opinion.
So what do YOU believe the gospel of Christ is and what do YOU believe it means to believe the gospel? (Romans 1:16).

Be encouraged. The reason you are attacked is because the hyper grace crowd believe those who just believe Christ and walk with Him are legalists and not saved. It appears to be because they were brought up in the church, tried to follow Christ by obeying the rules and finally got a view of Christs immeasurable love. They then think all christian unless like them are legalists. They also change the meaning of scripture to be dispensational, so large parts can be ignored because they applied only to those before the cross.

The sad thing is they sincerely believe good christians are not saved are evil and should be exposed and opposed.
As one quoted yesterday "Paul would vehemently oppose ..." implying he did not support desiring to be like Jesus, on the understanding we have already arrived. It gets difficult to discuss subjects because they have changed the meaning of so much, so when clarifying the points with scripture the same verses in scripture mean different things to them.

They will then say we are taking it out of context, because their context and meaning is very different from our own.
So the sermon on the mount is aimed at Jews, to show how sinful they are by not following the full law.
It is deemed as saying we are all sinners forever condemned to failure except by having Christs righteousness on us every day. The upshot is sin does not matter because it has already been dealt with on the cross. Some will say because we do not have to be righteous, we will now want to be. How this is the power of the gospel I do not know, because capitulation to sin is the simple defeat they hold on to. And yes we need to stand up for Jesus victory, because there is no need to capitulate, because the Lord has won the great prize and we can walk with Him, Amen.

Hyper grace is too new of a doctrine for me to debate about it, several people have attempted to explain it to me but I still don't get it. This is what I know and believe about grace-His grace covers our sins everything we did every sin every darkness is gone in his eyes and with a repentant heart knowing how deep his grace is but knowing grace is not a free ticket to sin and do as we please we do not fear his judgement and when we sin when we screw up we are forgiven.

It's actually because his grace is so deep and because he didn't bring punishment on me that I was able to keep going when and stay strong.

Interesting and accurate use of words. Sounds like how the gnostics treated Christians. A tree is known by its fruit.

Against Heresies

Animal men, again, are instructed in animal things; such men, namely, as are established by their works, and by a mere faith, while they have not perfect knowledge. We of the Church, [the gnostics] say, are these persons.

... [the gnostics] run us [of the Church] down (who from the fear of God guard against sinning even in thought or word) as utterly contemptible and ignorant persons, while they highly exalt themselves, and claim to be perfect, and the elect seed.

No. The Sermon on the Mount is directed at you and any others who think they have the inherent ability to make themselves acceptable to a holy and perfect God.

cannot = impossible?

or

cannot = not allowed?

or Budman's choice

cannot = ?
I have heard everything now.

John said those who sin have never seen God.. Does it mean, everyone who is allowed to sin (using HRFTD's interpretation) have never seen God?

This is what is called interpreting the word to fit your belief system.

Oh, just stop.

The word cannot means can't.

Period.

End of story.

Nothing "ambiguous" about it.

Keep wiggling and diggin' that hole deeper for yourself.
Brother, I have him on ignore but saw his comment on your post. It seems to me that he may actually and actively trying to seek the truth with his question and not simply argue out of pride. Dear Lord, please reach HRFD as he seeks Your Truth. In Jesus name I pray.

You're the one trying to pin me down with that verse. I asked you for clarity what you think the word cannot means. I can't answer until I have clarity about what we're discussing.

He asked you what you thought it meant, Not what he thought it meant.

Why is it your so afraid to answer things?

That's why I'm seeking clarity. Cannot is an ambiguous word. It can mean that it is impossible for a believer to sin, or that a believer is not permitted to sin, or maybe you have another meaning.

How do you interpret the word?

I'm with Budman, but HeRose does have a point. It's the same question I've had ever since accepting and living the teaching of OSAS. I just haven't found any logical explanation to it. I still believe it's the truth though. It came to me more of a revelation than an intellectual pursuit.

The thing is, if one cannot sin = no free will. That's very contradictory.

**EDIT: I'm trying to present it from HeRose's perspective as how I understood it.

His question: "HOW CAN HISTORY TELL YOU WHAT I BELIEVE?"

And just stop with the "mentally unstable" condescension.

Thank you brother, I was going to say something to him, But glad just let others handle it so it proves it is not just me..

And you are blind. Your Grace only crowd says anything for God is works based Salvation and I don't understand why. I guess this is a site for the blind leading the blind to eternal damnation. If I'm wrong for standing up against this, then you are all so far gone, i hope my prayers will help

See he is not attacking hyper-grace only as he claimed, he just proved it. he is attacking grace alone,

Yet he is attacking us saying we are attacking him just because he is defending hypergrace.. He just proved what everyone has been saying.

lol..

Good luck with your little self righteousness crowd. I don't think Jesus would be a member of your click
Um self righteousness are those who preach works for salvation.

Not those who preach grace alone.

if your going to try to attack people. at least make it sound reasonable.. A licentious crowd do not puff up their righteousness,, They Live is sin, love it and will freely admit it.

Hope you stick around. It's a great place to learn from other people's mistakes. :) Just put the idiots on ignore.

He would have to put himself and you on ignore then.

nd there you go caling people names again. And you want people to think you resemble Christ? (SMH)

Has anyone reported this post yet? (for calling people stupid) I am sure they are sick of me reporting posts lately.

We are condemned to failure without Christ's righteousness on us every day. His spirit and faith are what give us ability to do righteousness.

Sadly, Your doing this yourself.

But no one can even discuss this with you, because everytime someone questions you, You get defensive and go off on people..

Maybe you just need to pray to God and ask hi to give you some strength and willingness to listen to people.
