Oooh. Concerned about you friend. Our Salvation is dependent on Christ ALONE. NOT us trying to stay in His Hands. This verse makes that abundantly clear.
[h=1]John 10:28-30New International Version (NIV)[/h]28 I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand.29 My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all[a]; no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand. 30 I and the Father are one.”
YOU are a man. So EVEN you can't snatch yourself out of His Hand. He promises not to lose any that are in His Hands.

Alright. I didn't see it at first, but now I see it. I concede.
I'm still not sure who Nikki was attempting to "call-out"...but he's definitely had ample time to clarify and answer questions posed by others. He's displayed his unwillingness to attempt to understand or discuss on reasonable terms.

I love that scriture.. Its a great exhortation and reminder of the tares. of course the problem you have is that if you can walk away after being born again, then God has no real plan neither of the future or for you in it. as he can never be certain that you will you will want to be part of his plan or not. Eph 1:11.
Only those truly born of the Spirit can enter the Kingdom:

people are passionate about this topic, because they are passionate about the gospel. but we're all children here - and passionate children shout. later, i hope, we reflect on it, and learn, and next time, maybe we don't shout as much?

This is the sort of comment that is appalling to me. It's not helpful to most people. It's more likely that the comment will cause trouble and division rather than agreement and unity. It is possible to instruct without being cryptic, sarcastic, and condescending.

"Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven." Matthew 7:21.
We choose to serve the Lord,we are always free to walk away.Nothing will take you from God but you can always walk away.
Matthew 7:21 is not refering to those who are Born Again.

How can Jesus be speaking truth here if what you say is true... if you are right then Jesus could lose almost all the Father has given him.
The "old man" died on the cross with Jesus..this is why people don't understand the difference between spirit which is the inner man of the heart......there is still the flesh left which has the power of sin in it. These are the scriptures...
If we don't "know" that the old man is dead...we will never understand the new creation in Christ..created in righteousness and holiness....then the natural mind cannot understand this spiritual principal....This is the problem with some.
Romans 6:5-8 (NASB)
[SUP]5 [/SUP] For if we have become united with Him in the likeness of His death, certainly we shall also be in the likeness of His resurrection,

Galatians 2:20 (KJV)

am crucified with Christ = perfect passive = a done deal ...an action done in the past with a result being continuously in the present

[SUP]22 [/SUP] For I joyfully concur with the law of God in the inner man,
[SUP]23 [/SUP] but I see a different law in the members of my body, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin which is in my members.
Now we walk according to the Spirit so we will not fulfill the flesh's desire.

The word "fall away"..means to be "offended"....the people are offended because of the trouble that came with the word as satan comes immediately to try to steal it....this is the ways of the word of the kingdom and how it operates......it does not mean they are going to hell...that is not in that scripture...it's something that teachers made up to "legitimize" their belief that one can lose salvation
