A known prostitute in Jericho believing she was on God’s side… a beautiful woman stolen from her honorable husband by a king raises her son to love God…. a beautiful Jewess marries and deceives a king about her heritage to protect her God-fearing people… a woman in Samaria with too many husbands, who endures racial prejudice believes the Messiah has come… a woman with a bad reputation wastes expensive perfume and makes a spectacle of herself because she recognizes Jesus as Savior… a woman of Canaan won’t take no for an answer because she believes Jesus is faithful to His Word… an old woman ostracized, sick and unclean believes Jesus can heal her… a woman caught in the act of adultery learns not one man can judge her… Christian women who are dismissed as foolish and unreliable by Christian men are first to see the Risen Savior… a young girl considered goofy and naïve in her faith is overcome with joy when she witnesses her prayer miraculously answered… a demon possessed fortune-telling prostitute is redeemed by the Lord while she follows the apostle Paul around…

Every one of these women was chosen to exalt Mighty God in spite of the negative attitudes of those who lacked faith in the Lord for these women. Each of these ladies were honored by the Lord forever in His Holy Word. None of these women had the approval of men, religious or otherwise. None of these women had anything to boast about of themselves. They were chosen by God to glorify Himself to us and to the whole world.

There is nothing of the flesh in these accounts that exalt the Most High God. But God is glorified THROUGH them because He uses the foolish things to confound the “wise”, to confuse the intellectual, to baffle the religious scholar, to complicate self-appointed church leaders, to perplex the legalists, to humble the prideful, to mystify Pharisees.

It is absolutely foolish for any man to dictate who God can and cannot use for whatever He purposes to do. There is nothing in our natural mind that can hope to comprehend what is God’s will. God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.

Does God call women to pastor? Will God lead a woman to teach men? Did God create an order for marriage? There is only one way to find out for sure: ask God the Father. He is faithful and He will answer. He is the ONLY ONE to answer you about what He is doing.

I would never put faith in anyone’s opinion (including my own) when it does not exalt Christ Jesus. If any of our testimonies is of how we do this and that, how by our own desire and self will we are accomplishing some great thing, it is a LIE. Anyone who exalts themselves (that includes me) and their efforts is competing against Christ. For there is no good in the flesh. Nobody has the desire to do God’s will of themselves. NOBODY. Nobody on this board can boast accept in Jesus. So cancel out all the posts that attempt to cancel out Jesus.

Brothers and sisters, just because someone bombards you with scripture after scripture of how their belief is right, DON’T GO WITH THEM. If you don’t easily see the nature of Jesus Christ in someone, if you don’t read mercy and truth and humility in a post, it is not Jesus Christ. Even the devil appears as an angel of light and knows scripture better than most. But the devil does not know the truth of the scriptures and God does. And He will reveal the truth to you Himself by His Holy Spirit.

There are too many opinions and false teachings here to put faith in anything but Jesus Himself. The Lord is faithful to exalt Himself in your heart and show you the truth. Amen?

It's a simple fact that a lot of men are afraid of not being able to stand equally with a woman through their own merits, and therefore welcome anything that protects them by "putting women in their place" through restricting them with a bunch of "laws" they can say are somehow God's will.

And, ladies and women? What say we start judging all pictures of guys by what they're wearing? Do you think maybe the guys might start getting the idea of how annoying it is that guys seem free to pick apart outfits, weight, hair, eyes, or even rings on any ole picture of a woman?

Oh don't you know? The path to hell is paved with denim?! An old coot told my father that years ago when he was a new Christian. Luckily my father was able to get past it and is still a Christian today.

You know folks we use to sing an old hymn in church,some of you may know it "Just As I Am " Yes,Im that old. But it seems we "saints" have barred the way to heaven so that even we can't get in. One of the Goodmans {singers} said "the older I get,the more people Im letting into heaven". Oh that we would say "God use me" instead of who God can't use.This thread makes my heart very heavy. Its no wonder churches stand empty today.

Can I wear them until the rips are such that I have to throw them away? Then they can use them for paving material.

I don't see the big deal...yea her pants are tight but the person seeing it should have Holy spirit assisted control to crucify the flesh and thoughts with it and not entertain bad thoughts....cast down that vain imagination immediately and it becomes no big deal...if you dwell on it satan/sin will take over your mind....

There is no hope that the double standard drops if a 20-something has yet to see the big deal! Shall we be discussing your sister's attire like that?

Upon thinking on this, I believe you have a very valid point. What of Caitlyn Jenner? What of all the transgenders who come onto this site and wonder about this? Those who are seeking Jesus and want to know the order of things, as you say? Who would you proclaim to be the submissive wife in the marriage of two men or two women? I'm sure there are many same sex married people who come onto this site looking for God and wondering about it. Wouldn't you say? What do we tell them?

Tell them to sit tight, and keep their pants on.

If you get holes in them you can sell them to Holland and make big money with it. Pants with holes in them cost 100 euro.

Just because we may be too uninformed and low-brow to know what a commode might be, we shouldn't jump all over people who do, and use the correct term to describe a piece of 18th century furniture.

LOL The commode was an argument in my family. If we had room for it, I'd still want it. Who has a nice cushioned chair that -- pull the seat up and stick in a bucket, and you then have an instant downstairs toilet? Cool piece of furniture. We just didn't have the space for it.

(It wasn't the chippendale chair though.)

And how awesome to witness godly men stand in agreement with you, like Grace777x70. My husband is with the Lord now, so it is especially precious to me (and I'm sure to most of the women on CC) for God to bless us with faithful brothers like you two men.

This woman has no intention of ever following scripture, only fleecing those who she preys on.
She does nothing but set a stumbling block for those that are sincere. She is a minion of satan, his aide on earth, one of those false prophets that help him as he goes about as a roaring lion, devouring those unable to discern evil.

Congrats! You just lost me as someone willing to listen to your teachings anymore. Anyone who starts calling anyone a skank can't possibly teach anything I'd want to learn!

Well, I guess I cheated. I was raised by three women... My mother, my grandmother, and up until I was 8 or 9, by Hattie, my black Nanny. So I may not be as fearful and protective of the perceived "image" I am supposed to keep up for the world as many men seem to be.
