About 5 years ago I started seeing a nutritionist for a number of problems I was having from my digestive system to my heart. One in particular was I had a racing heart and it palpitated (missed a beat) and would bang up against my chest. It was really scary and doctors had said they didn't know anything to do about it except diet and exercise.

Well I changed my diet to organic and lots of water, etc. But my heart was still all over the place. Finally I went to this Christian nutritionist and she started testing me for vitamins and supplements that my body was lacking. I came up showing that I needed B vitamins - one in particular, vitamin B6. So she gave me something called Cataplexy G by a company called Standard Process. (They only sell to licensed doctors and nutritionists, but you can usually find some of their stuff at Amazon, etc.)

So she put me on and the same day, after the very fist dose my heart calmed down and started beating slow and strong and healthy for the first time in years!. I kept taking them for a while, and then my body was replenished and I've never had that problem again.

Anyways, just wanted to share that with anyone it might help. B vitamins are great for all kinds of health issues from the mind and brain to the heart and rest of the body. It's really best to get them from whole food products (not synthetic) so a company like Standard Process actually makes them out of food.

And of course remember Jesus is our Great Healer! He lead me to what I needed. God bless.

If they ONLY sell to licensed doctors and nutritionists, then their stuff is NOT being sold on Amazon. Most likely it's a cheap imitation and could be potentially dangerous. NEVER EVER get supplements from a site like Ebay or Amazon. Buy them at your local nutrition store, such as GNC.. Also, no supplement works on the first dose. It takes quite awhile for the body to recognize the supplement that it is being given. Your body couldn't possibly be replenished by taking this supplement, unless you're consistently getting B vitamins from other foods. It needs a constant source of nutrients..

Here is proof that Standard Process does NOT sell their products over the internet..

Standard Process prohibits the sale of their products on the internet. You must call our office, 920-968-2360 to order Standard Process supplements. While we carry Standard Process products, neither Natural Healthy Concepts nor any third party associated with Natural Healthy Concepts is in any way affiliated with Standard Process Inc.

Actually it doesn't matter where one buys supplements because none of them are tested or regulated by the FDA or any other authority. The FDA only steps in after people start dying or getting severely ill from taking them. Then they look into it and ban or restrict the product if necessary.

This isn't to say that there aren't studies done on supplements, there are lots of studies done but the thing is that no one can guarantee that the bottle you're buying actually contains what it says on the label, in the dose claimed on the label, or whether that dose is really effective or harmful.

Note that this only refers to dietary supplements, not vitamins. Vitamin strength and purity can be guaranteed by the USP (United States Pharmacopeia). Look for the USP logo on the bottle.

MyChild, I don't know what you ordered from Amazon, but it was NOT Standard Process supplements. :/ Here's a link to an article talking about SP shady marketing claims and false advertising..

Innate vitamins, Herbally Grounded, and Garden of life, sell raw and vegan supplements. They make their products from whole foods and are not synthetic.

Are you sure you don't have AFib? Sounds like you're getting your medical advice from nutritionists, not doctors. Sure, what you changed worked for a week. But it's only a week.

If you only rely on nutritionists there may come a day when even doctors can't help you.

Good advice. She needs a medical diagnosis, and then go back to the nutritionist. Assuming she never got a diagnosis, that is. She din't say. But a large number of heart issues are actually best treated nutritionally, as usually they are caused by poor dietary habits.

There are loads of things which cause palpitations and racing heart.

First would be to rule out a medical condition. For example I had
Graves' disease 10 years age my resting heart beat was 120bpm the
palpitations at night were so bad I could not sleep and could even feel
the arteries in my neck and stomach pulsating it was so bad. It took
3.5 years to get over that.

Things like stress, coffee, getting dehydrated can also cause palpitations.

Nutritional deficiencies can reduce the effectiveness of the way the body works,
but unless there are obviously symptons which only one specific nutritional
deficiency can cause, or it shows up in blood work, then how would you know
which it was?

If you suspect it might be your diet but don't have any proof, then it won't do
any harm to eat healthier. But like others have said, it would be better to speak
to a doctor to rule out any underlying medical cause.

Im not sure that nutritional supplements would work in just one day either.
Usually when a doctor prescribes supplements they would give you a couple months
course as a minimum.

There is however another possibility, that of the placebo effect. This is especially the
case where stress might be the cause. You get stressed think you are ill, then
take something and because you think you are doing yourself some good, it
relieves the stress so you feel better etc.

Sorry. Wrong person to say that to. I come from an eats-well family, and the men still tended to die young. Now you'res saying this to the wife of a guy who used to eat well (nutrition wise -- amount wise? Meh!), and I get to go back to visit him this evening in the hospital because of his heart attack in November.

And same here, sorry, but I am the wrong person to tell that they were on good diets to. Without even knowing their diets, I am willing to bet you that they did not eat nearly as well as you think. And then you talk about over eating, well that is only the icing on the cake, no pun intended. Of course there is a is a genetic predisposition to disease, but if you have a good lifestyle, you can often ward it off, or sometimes even entirely bypass it.
Do you know what you need to eat, and not eat, to going into biological healing Lynn? For how long?
I have counseled a lot of people, and have heard so many people with so many different ailments tell me they had good diets, and then when they told me what they actually eat, I was sometimes astonished why they thought they were on a healthy diet. But I guess so many Americans have been brainwashed by the medical establishment, they would genuinely have a hard time discerning between a biologically healing diet, and one that is toxic.

I've had the opposite experience. I went through years studying health trying to find supplement help, alongside other measures, for physiological challenges that I faced at a GNC and local health food store. I went through multiple brands and different types of vitamins from there and nothing was successful. It wasn't until I got onto ebay to try a supplement from the States that worked wonders. I also order online from a health organisation in New York. I would encourage the audience to study what goes into a supplement, whether it's synthetic or not, what the main ingredients are, before you write it off because of where it came from. For me, ebay and my supplements from New York have been a blessing.

brothers and sisters,

except for the very few that really care and understand and have
actually put forth the effort to sustain and maintain the heavenly gift of our
God gifted bodies? they are few and far between, BUT, some come to actually have
the Faith and Trust God requires in order for us to deny our 'worldly lusts',
and honor and deny themselves for the benefits that our heavenly Father
has blessed us with to their best ability, and have a genuine and heart-felt
desire to maintain a balance in accordance with this Spiritual Blessing from above...
yes, it hits some of us at different times, HOPEFULLY,
but...
making it a 'priority' and worth whatever it takes to maintain this precious,
heavenly GIFT?
it is OUR CHOICE...
some how in this day and age, this seems to be at the bottom of the LIST,
more and more....
it's just not a priority to care-for/love and honor our Holy 'TEMPLE'...,
to the contrary, it is obvious that many are conceding and being led down
the dark path, we have been warned to resist but are becoming so easily led
to destroy/deny what our Heavenly Father has so graciously blessed us with.......

our precious gift of Eternal Life with Him...

Go back and read what I posted about that company not selling their products online. THEY SAY they don't. So I dunno who is selling those supplements, but it IS NOT the actual company that makes and produces them. They only sell their supplements in stores, not online..

Careful, Joseph, you're sounding like a know-it-all again. Stop asking people what their eating, and how much. That's none of your business and they don't have to answer. We all know a better diet=better health. You don't gotta remind us every two seconds. :) Let people eat what they want to eat. If they disagree with you, as obviously Lynn does, then leave it alone and drop the subject.. Don't bait her with "you know what you SHOULD be eating". People don't take well to being told what they SHOULD be doing or eating.

Some people prefer to think they're right and continue to be sick, than admit they could be wrong and get well. Pride is something not easily cured by pills. Hope you weren't reformed too much, as your advice seemed the smartest in the thread. (-;
