Men are left brain women are right brain, that's a known fact. Yall deal in emotions primarily as is evidenced in this thread. Men post scripture and you women get all emotional about and take it as your not good enough. What can I say the bible is right.

Do you have any concept that you're the only one who knows your "facts?" Do the research. You're facts aren't.

So, I pose this question:
My husband has Alzheimer's, on a daily basis he tells three to four times he wants me to go to the store and get some beer.

I'm not submitting, so those of you who believe in the strictest adherence of the law, show me the verse that says "a special exception is made when the husband has Alzheimer's"

or tell me to buy the beer
You should always obey the Lord more and I don't think He wants you to get him drunk.

And you wonder why they get upset?
I get no more upset with him then the guys doing wolf calls. I get upset with believers, not nonbelievers. He just makes me
a lot!

Really? You think I am basing my position because I have been brainwashed or in reaction to how I have personally been treated? You have no clue what kind of man I am.
Get out of the deep end of the pool before you drown. Shallow people, like you, should always be in the shallow end.

What you, and every other woman here that takes exception to my posts, doesn't understand or refuse to acknowledge is that women are vain creatures and they dress to be seen. Much like a peacock spreading its feathers to garner attention.
You think it is okay for joyce meyers to be a preacher? Fine. You think it is okay for her to wear tight jeans? Certainly not me, but some men might be attracted to her because of that. Tight jeans aren't comfortable. She dresses like that because the poor delusional woman thinks it makes her attractive.

Tell you a little story.
Few years ago I went to a new church at a friends request for wednesday nite service. It had several entrances so I waited for others to arrive so I could observe which door they went in. Didn't want to embarrass myself by going in the wrong entrance.
A woman pulled up in a parking place behind me in a late model chevy pickup. She proceeded to pull down the visor, which was a lighted mirror on the other side. She then took a good 7 or 8 minutes to carefully apply her makeup, then went in.
For church. She already had makeup on, she just went over it. For church. The ONLY reason for healthy women wearing makeup and being that fastidious about it is to be seen. That woman, like those of you here on the defensive, don't understand that you're walking in the flesh or don't care. You dress because you want others to look at you. To think you're pretty or attractive. You dress flashily and put on loud makeup for attention. If you're honest with yourself.
Maybe the preacher in that church never explained it to them. Women on here don't have the luxury of falling back on ignorance as excuse now. The object of living is to serve God and go to heaven. That's it. Period. Unless you're not saved.

Hi Phil I think you misunderstand the female brain. Lol
As they say women are from Venus, men from Mars.

A lot of women wear makeup to boast their self esteem, isn't that sad.
They see that the media, the work place and man also, expect them to
have perfect skin with not a hair out of place. Men just don't get the
pressures that women find themselves placed under. Why? Because society,
including men, judge a person by their looks first above all else.

I very rarely wear make up, just on special occasions. Oh and when I
have played on the platform in the worship team. Why? Because the
cameras which beam the service around the building and which record
the service, zoom right in, and hence for all the reasons above.

Yes women want to look their best, society demands it and so do
men quite honestly. How many men can say hand on heart that looks
dont matter and the first thing they notice about a woman is her
personality, and that those spots, that sallow complexion, those gappy
teeth, those milk bottle glasses etc, the extra weight here and there
doesnt get noticed at all.

Unfortunately while men are instructed to love their wives as Christ loves
the church, it seldom happens that way and so women put on the war
paint, raise those barriers, put on a made up flawless face when inside they are
a bundle of doubts and fears. To such a degree that many dare not be seen
dead without makeup.

So Phil now that I have let the cat out of the bag, why not go up to those
same women when they are sad, when they might not be wearing makeup,
when their hair is all over the place, when they are tearful and say - how
wonderful they look, or you are a wonderful person. Maybe make it your
goal to help raise the self esteem of these same ladies so that they
do not feel the need to "put on a mask" when they go to church.

Raises hands.

Can I just ask a question. Sorry I haven't read the whole thread,
just a few bits here and there so this might have been covered somewhere.

Various people have mentioned women under authority from husbands, pastors,
fathers, leaders etc.

Maybe this is off topic, but what if you are a single woman with no earthly father
who cannot always get to church?

This is a genuine question, just wondered.
Any male believers in the extended family? Any past pastors? (A missionary brought me to the Lord. When I wasn't around believers for the next couple of years, I contacted him again.) Any trusted older (in the Lord) men willing to take on the mantle? (One friend was like my second father. Had I not married, I would have asked him to help me.)

The fact is that (originally) men were created to be the pursuer and women the ones perused... And be glad for that...:)
Was this a typo? Whether or not, I had a good laugh at it...

Pursue: verb (used with object), pursued, pursuing.
1. to follow in order to overtake, capture, kill, etc.; chase.
2. to follow close upon; go with; attend.
3. to strive to gain; seek to attain or accomplish (an end, object, purpose, etc.)...

Peruse: verb (used with object), perused, perusing.
1. to read through with thoroughness or care.
2. to scan or browse.
3. to read.
4. to survey or examine in detail.

Some typos are funnier for what they inadvertently say.

That's right and I submit to him without *****ing about it.
Wait.... you're implying an expletive by typing *****ing and that's submitting to Christ?

Wait... is self-righteous boasting submissive?

Wait... you being critical of women is submitting to the Lord?

Still wondering why your "truth" isn't found in my NIV Bible.

Man am I glad to live in Holland where men and women don't like make up and fancy clothes are frowned upon. Must be our calvinistic past, but it's lovely. I can jump out of my bed and go to the office.

I don't buy Tom beer but when he asks for a steak I get it, when he wants donuts, I get them, when he wants to go somewhere I take him. I love Tom but I was using this example to show that God understands when someone needs to be cared for NOT just the strictest letter of the law.

Dr Caroline Leaf has written a couple books about it. She seems very well qualified and I think an approach that is more helpful than just sedating people.

It gives people control based on Biblical principles without altering function of the brain chemically

Yes my dad was always the boss in the house but now that he's older my mom has to tell him what to do. She said: he's become so sweet. I said: Yeah you're so bossy, you just picked a submissive man.
