Lead with this;

"No one made God's life. God is Life Eternal."

Maybe show the scripture, where God shares knowledge of His life and the gift of sharing in His life... so you can lead into explaining what eternal is, as it pertains to eternity.

I just don't think trying to separate God from time or time from eternity is a good practice, due to the fact God has walked in time and was born in time and plans to live in time with us for eternity. And also, we have always existed in God. No need to confuse the child by concepts of time, right :D

This is a simple approach , the whole purpose is understanding life. Life Eternal(God's life) is absolute existence for eternity(no birthday). Eternity is without end and eternal has no beginning. That is why God is all knowing, and knew us before we were born. Maybe talk about how people use the analogy of east to west, too?

In Adam, all have eternal existence, in Christ all have eternal life.

That is a difficult question to tackle. If someone created God, that that person would actually be God. So I guess nobody created him. He simply exists. If he didn't, there'd be no one and nothing. We should consider ourselves blessed.
 
When I first read this I was about to reply and say that's the people whom are selected at the time of your baptism, then realised that you actually meant GOD'S (Parents) lol

Complete in Him, I think it's vitally important that she teaches her son that God isn't part of His creation, but that He lovingly works within it. It shouldn't be a matter of confusion that Jesus also came to earth as a human and lived here among us. Children are often far more perceptive than we think.
 
Just a thought while reading this thread, why not sit down with him and say "Lets ask Him" and lead his question as prayer?

If someone made God, that would be God. No one made God because he was always. He IS God.
